We arrived and were greeted quickly, asked our names and to choose a color. We were quickly ushered to seats next to each other. It is a large salon with many nail techs and plenty of room for the 10 or so customers already there. Nathan and Tom were gentle and detailed, asking things we'd prefer, if we were going on a trip somewhere and just general conversation. They offered explained cutting or not cutting certain nails to keep them even with others, and did a great job. We were offered to sit in the massage chairs to let our nails dry for awhile, so we could enjoy the massagers. Great idea! Overall very pleasant experience. Quiet, relaxing and great price! I walked in Elegant at 10:40am on a Tuesday and was seen before 11am. I got an acrylic full-set with regular polish. The good: I loved that I was seen within 15 minutes of arriving. They had a HUGE selection of polish colors. The whole process took about an hour including sitting under the dryer and waiting, which is great! I think overall he did a good job and my nails don't have any obvious mistake. The not so good: I was not greeted when I came in at all. I had to find my way to the sign-in sheet and just sit. There wasn't many pleasantries--no conversation or small talk. They chatted a lot and were super friendly with the "regulars" but even when I tried to chat it wasn't well received. The worst part was that he was pretty rough with my hands and fingers. I guess he was trying to go quickly but it was even painful at times. I understand that some maneuverability is required but in all my years getting manicures I've never experienced anything like this. It was a lot of twisting my joints to get fingernails and better angles and weird wrist twisting to get to my thumbs. i have hypermobilty in my joints and even I felt discomfort. Another reviewer mentioned the roughness as well so maybe this is just something when they're in a rush. The bad didn't totally outweigh the good so I'll likely return for my fill-in unless I find something better.
