The man who did mine didnt hardly speak english so that was hard but he sanded my skin down all around my nails to were i was bleeding, the nail liquid he put on almost had me in tears bc my fingers were on fire. Then he attempted to put on the nails. Theyre BAD! Theyre uneven, crooked , hardly no acrylic. I just wanted to go bc tgere was no fixing them w/o soaking them off and my fingers needed to heal first. I had two people trying tionfux the bad bqd mistakes. So here's the detailed honest review you are looking for, online it says that they open at 9:00am but didn't open until about 9:15am, I got right in. They are super friendly and welcoming! They started with my gel pedicure, the water was a little cool. But he paid attention to detail and gave a good massage! The pedicure chairs weren't working all that great, but some buttons did work. My paint on my toes was well, and attention to detail was there. Next was my dip set with tips. I really loved the color selection for dip. He did a really good job. Only thing was that I thought my nail shape looked a little goofy, so I went home and filed them a little bit. I could have picked the wrong shape, I just thought they needed more shaping. I went to Glitzy Nails last week with a bridal party. We called in advance and were told they would accommodate our group of 7, and they did. However - one of the girls in our group had just gotten a fresh set of acrylics done a few weeks back at another salon. When she arrived she asked for a fill in. After getting her pedicure they moved her over to do her "fill in" but took off all her old acrylics and just told her it was their policy.. Long story short they wanted to charge $70 for a fill in that went wrong on their end. When she asked for them to make it right considering we brought in hundreds of dollars of business they refused. They tried to send her out the door with the half placed acrylics on her hands. They were still telling her it was her fault and being extremely rude 10 min later while removing her set. WILL NOT RETURN AND DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. Customer Service is a solid -10. read more

I'm from out of town and found this place via Yelp! I went in on a Saturday morning and was taken right away. Mani/pedi was $40 and was wonderful. I believe Jimmy did my feet. I just got a regular pedicure and the massage was amazing. Never had that long of a massage with just a regular pedicure. I think he spent 10 min on each leg/foot!!! Zac did my nails and was super friendly and great to talk with! He made sure my nails were just the way I wanted them!!! Just for future visitors, they do charge $5 to take off old gel/shellac nail polish (I didn't mind this though since I hate doing it myself)! i came here last week to get a full set of acrylic nails. the color selection wasnt too impressive but i got some that i liked and sat down. ive been getting my nails done for years and the process this place used was very rushed and not good quality. i asked for a coffin shape and they didnt know what it was, i was given chunky, square nails. they were so lumpy and uneven and crooked. within an hour, one of my nails chipped near the cuticle bc it was so over my nail onto my skin. one hand was shorter than the other and also much wider than the other???? within two days, one popped off. it has now been five days and today, three more POPPED OFF. literally not even doing anything. i took the rest of the nails off without any effort. this was by far the worst set I have ever gotten in my entire life. I wish i could go back in time and not go here. I would've loved to save my money. read more

Second time here and just as impressed as the first time. Price is super reasonable for a pedi. $35 regular or $40 for the spa upgrade. Very worth the extra $5 for what seems like an eternity of extra massage time. The woman in there, who I believe is the owner, is so pleasant. Made me an appointment over the phone to make sure I wouldnt have to wait. Also, I happened to have my 4 year old with me and they set him up in a massage chair next to me with a snack and made me feel not terrible for having to bring him with me. Extremely limited color choices. Not very many polishes and even less shellac choices. He painted the shellac on so thin, it's about the thickness of regular nail polish. One of my nails just broke, only 4 days later. There are bumps under the shellac from where he didn't buff my nail well enough. The owner's kids were there playing. Granted, they were well behaved but we all know kids have good days and bad days. I won't be back here. The two male nail techs sitting next to each other were having their own conversation in a different language while I was just sitting next there awkwardly. If you have a business, you should probably try to interact with your customer, not talk about them and laugh. It doesn't matter what language it's in, I know when someone is talking about me. They were talking about my color choice, so I confronted them about it. It wasn't necessarily a pretty color, but it was the only gold they had. They said yes, that shellac doesn't lay very well. It's bubbly. Ok then, why haven't you thrown it away? They picked me out a rose gold color instead. It's ok, but not what I wanted. Just really frustrated they didn't have more choices. My boyfriends mother and I went here for the first time today to get gel polish on our finger nails . I had called a few days in advance to make an appointment at noon. When we walked in I immediately noticed they actually didn't write down appointments. They were not expecting us in anyway and they only had two workers present along with three other customers present. After informing them we made an appointment the male nail technician did immediately sit us down and started helping us making other customers wait. (Which was nice for us but crappy for the other customers..) They initially tried to seat us at two separate tables away from one another, but after asking to sit together they did accommodate for us. We ended up having one technician between the two of us. He seemed to take his time and did a good job shaping the nails and cutting the cuticles. However, my gel nails started to bubble and he just put clear coat over it and finished it up as usual. The finished nail feels somewhat smooth but you can see visible waves of the gel polish. Overall, it was an okay experience. Probably wouldn't go back. Update: On one finger the gel polish started to detach from my nail and the polish is chipping off on the tip of my nail bed. This happened 2 days after getting my nails done. So we take an Uber over there and we walk inside to our disappointment. This place looks like what I envision a nail salon in the 70s. It smelled like steam rice. To put the icing on the cake they have a playpen, carriage and tricycle where they take care of a toddler. On the positive the pedicure was good, prices are reasonable and massage was pretty awesome ! if I had no other choice, I would use this place again. I told them I would like a gel mani, signed in, and picked out my gel color. I sat waiting for about 20 minutes and then one of the female employees walks up to me and asks if I can come back later or another day. Definitely will not be coming back! This was my first mani/pedi experience in Cincinnati and it was enjoyable. The pedicure was one of the best I've had for a fair price. The only reasons why it's not a 5 is because their colors for no-chip manicures were pretty limited. There was a baby sleeping in a playpen and another on an iPad, but neither was loud or in the way, so that didn't bother me at all. I was very disappointed when I went to Glitzy nails. This was my first time visiting. I took my daughter for her 13th birthday and 2 of her friends to get a polish change. When we were there I felt like the staff was annoyed and not happy that we decided to come in. They were not friendly to the girls at all. They quickly rushed through their polish so they could get to their regulars. I understand that you want to treat your regulars well but you could earn additional business by treating new clients well too. The nail tech working on the girls quickly did 2 of the 3 girls and then started in the third. A regular client walked in and she stopped before putting on the top coat and decided to start on her regular. It takes 2 seconds to put on a top coat. So instead after waiting about 10 minutes a gentlemen came and applied the top coat and walked away. He also messed up two of her nails when he was applying the top coat. No one told us to wait for a certain length of time or anything. So after about 15 mins of just sitting I asked the girls if their nails were dry and they said yes so we went up to pay. No one acknowledged us for a good 3-4 minutes, then a gentleman came up and just gave me my total. Didn't ask if everything was okay or anything. I handed him my card. He ran it, and instead of handing it back to me he slid it across the counter. I thought that was incredibly rude. No thank you no nothing. Other nail salons I visit I can't get out the door without several people thanking me and telling me to come back. I will never return to this salon again. read more
