Repeated communication breakdown. After initial meeting, Michelle said she would call the next week to give me the address to pick out the quartz. I had to contact her 11 days later. Office is unprofessional (empty fast food junk laying around, children's toys all around- trip hazard, etc). When told to draw the cut of the quartz I wanted, it was ignored, and they chose the cut and did not inform me. When they didn't show up, did not receive a call. I had to call to see if they were coming. (That happened 3 times). If I would have worked with Nikki, rather than Michelle, I believe things would have gone smoother. Astonishingly awful. To begin with, trying to communicate with the office for a response within a reasonable time is out of the question. Now the installation was juvenile. The installer damage a cabinet because they did not remove all the screws from the countertop before removing it. They could not get a replacement cabinet so the installer had a 'friend' try to repair the cabinet which was unsuccessful. Other problems include poor application of caulking, spaces between the granite, and complete disrespect to my wife. And all this after I prevented their equipment from being stolen - they left all their hand and power tools on the curb where someone was loading them into their own truck until I notified the installers. These folks are the most unprofessional and disorganized I have seen in Georgetown. Communications with them was terrible in terms of timeliness and accuracy - they were zero. They did not show up when scheduled and at other times showed up with no warning. They damaged the walls, outlet plates, and door frames while removing the old countertop. Builders, home owners, contractors and elderly BEWARE! This daughter and dad duo have no problem taking your money and then avoiding you. The lack of communication and regard for others time and efforts make the transaction feel more like robbery than a business deal. They do not represent themselves well as business owners/operators. There is no transparency and the integrity is questionable. The office is filthy and uninviting. Trash running over on to the floor and food and drink cans littered around the small space. It smelled and made my husband and I uneasy. The piles of mail and papers could be a pretty good indication as to why no one seems to know what's what at Galaxy. The standards are definitely subpar and it shows In the pride these people take it their business and appearance. The writing is on the wall, READ IT FOLKS! I would recommend looking into other options within the community and industry. read more

These guys were great. We wanted a granite countertop in one of our bathrooms. The cost was HALF what other estimates were, so we got two bathrooms done. They did a great job. I wish every contractor we hired was like Galaxie Granite. We purchased 5 sinks, 2 bathroom sink granite slabs and 1 custom granite kitchen slab from Galaxie Granite and had the great pleasure of working with Eric Hillin who is the owner. He worked with us A LOT until we figured out what we wanted in each bathroom and the kitchen. He also sold us our bathroom sinks and kitchen sink for so much less than the exact same ones at Home Depot/Lowe's. We remodeled our entire house and didn't think we could afford granite in 3 rooms but by purchasing remanant slabs we got to do granite in our guest bathroom and our master bathroom. The kitchen was custom granite but it was VERY reasonable compared to the other quotes we got. Plus Eric was a great guy to work with, ask him stories about his rock n roll days. We told Eric we how we were getting married soon and he surprised us with our kitchen installation....there is a windowsill above our kitchen sink that was tacky and he got his guys to install a thin slab of our granite on the windowsill as 'a wedding present'. We had not even thought about adding that piece but it really makes the kitchen look so much nicer. Eric pays attention to detail, cares about his customers, and goes above and beyond. We will be using his services for every remodel the rest of our lives in the Austin area. I was really impressed with his company and proud that he still runs that company on the original American values of hard work, customer service and pride in your product. I just bought a new house and was iffy on how well my granite was sealed. I have 3 kids...need I say more? I contacted Nikki with Galaxie Granite because I honestly knew nothing about granite. She was so informative and quickly put my nerves at ease. Did you know Rome was built with granite, cause I didn't till I talked to Galaxie! I was able to schedule an appointment for my counters to be looked at within 24 hours of closing on my home. She personally came out to take a look. To ensure my counters safety, she re sealed them for me. They look AMAZING, so shiny and smooth! Not only are they more beautiful than they were before, it was done for an affordable price. We decided to remodel both our bathrooms and use quartz for the countertops. After making multiple trips to the big stores like Home Depot, Lowe's etc., we were unsuccessful in our search finding something suitable for our bathrooms. Those 4x4 samples these stores let you borrow are unless. Based on a recommendation for he flooring company we were working with, we decided to try Galaxy Granite. It is a decision we have not regretted. Galaxy is a family owned business started by Eric Hillin but now managed by Nikki, his daughter. These people are easy to work with and go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. We brought home many large samples before deciding on a quartz design that would work in both bathrooms. In addition, we purchased four undermount sinks at a much better price than found at Home Depot/Lowe's/internet.. Only problem we had was that both bathrooms would not be ready for counter tops at the same time. Not a problem, Nikki told us they would be store one of them at their location until we were ready, no charge. Which meant that Galaxy would have to make two trips to our home to install counter tops as each each bathroom became ready. They did an outstanding job of installing those counter tops and sinks, no scratches, dings. We couldn't be happier. Not ofter are my expectations exceeded when working with a contractor but in this case I can honestly say they went well beyond exceeding expectation. If you are looking for counter tops then Galaxy Granite is the best choice by far. read more

Eric at Galaxie did both our kitchen in 2015 and our mater bathroom in 2017. The kitchen is granite with a stainless sink and the bathroom is quartz (remnant) with two sinks. They are very easy to work with and are very professional. It is a family run business...even the cat is there. I highly recommend them for any type of stone work. read more

I wanted only the best for my mother's Sun City home - but our project was challeged with a small budget. Nikki at Galaxie Granite literally saved us thousands by showing how to reconfigure and reuse existing cabinets. Now the master bathroom is much more spacious. Nikki helped us to select a Quartz bartop that blends with the existing older Corian countertops. The bartop section is at a 45 angle - but the work was done seamless. It looks amazing! Everyone remarks about how the kitchen and two baths are now modern and truly elegant. Galaxie Granite did the install efficiently, with a team that worked safely, respected our property and cleaned up afterwards. Had an agreement with this guy to trade an old car for countertop work here in San Antonio. After the kitchen was completely done and just waiting on the counter tops. He never got the granite cut, drug his feet for two weeks without giving any call back, and then at the end of it all he pulled out and said the deal was off. Don't use these guys, their unreliable, and don't have their stuff together. I see the other positive reviews from others but I can't say anything positive to be honest. I always had to initiate contact because they never checked in. Be aware folks. read more
