Recently got a gift certificate. I called and scheduled a regular mani and pedi. Was told to pick a time so I did. I was referred to specific nail tech which I asked for. When I arrived 10min early, I was greeted and told to wait. 30min after my appointment time was when I was lead back to the pedicure chair. During this time, the conversation among the tech was that they did not want to take me bc it's only regular mani and pedi. I understand that they make more money with a gel appointment but I rather they not schedule me if that's the case. I understood their native language. Some of the tech just sat or walked around letting me wait. The person who eventually took me was not who I requested. My mani and pedi came out ok but she also cut my cuticle a bit too much that it bled (which I know can happen). She did not put the gel to stop the bleeding and continued to work on my nails. Im usually easy going and not critical but this salon had terrible customer service. Not planning on returning and would not recommend this salon. read more

The employees are so nice and accommodating. I'm sure they encourage appointments but usually whenever I walk in I'm serviced within minutes. Ended up at this nail salon by mistake. Was trying to make an appointment else where and confused it with this one. I've got to say, I'm probably never coming back, which wasn't my reaction at the beginning. They all seemed really nice and treated each other and their customers decently. They had a modern way to self check in with an ipad, which was pretty cool. I made an appointment the day before to get a dip manicure since I don't like putting my hands under the UV lights and yet I still ended up with my hands under the rays. I chose this glitter color which the lady told me would be $5 extra (a regular dip mani is $40), so I said ok since their dip color options were a bit limited. 1. They didn't soak my hands, clean my cuticles etc. 2. They cut my nails to the length I wanted, but didn't bother putting much attention to shaping them all the same (I asked for round, which my nails were already pretty much shaped that way). They were very clumpy so I let her do her thing before saying anything in case she would fix them. She took out the electric nail file device that polishes down the nail, but barely put any effort into it. In the end my pinky nail looked extremely funky, almost as if you've clumped something on top and left it as is. All my nails were a bit on the clumpy side for me, but I could bare with it. However, the pinky was the one that I really couldn't take so I asked her if she could fix it. She said it was the way it was because it was glitter, but proceeded to make it seem like she was trying to do something about it and took out the nail file and filed just the edges of my nail. She then put a GEL TOP COAT (which I don't know if it's normal procedure for glitter dip for them) and I had to put my nails under the UV light. I've had glitter dips done in the past and I've never had to use Gel or put my hands under that UV machine. She simply rubbed in some cream at the end and that was it. My mother was also getting a dip done and her lady (I think her name was Kelley, that's what one of her tools had labeled) was decent. She didn't clean her cuticles, but she saw some strays sticking out and fixed it for her. She shaped the clumpyness of the dip down with the electric file and paid attention to the shape. So at the end I asked if she could please fix my pinky nail, WHICH SHE DID, MEANING IT WAS POSSIBLE FOR MY NAILS NOT TO LOOK AS CLUMPY AS THEY CURRENTLY DO. She also checked in on my moms nails after as they were drying which I thought was nice. Maybe it's just luck on who you get. My sister and her husband got "jelly pedicures" and her husbands service was much better than hers. Although, they charge $5 extra for males. He didn't paint his nails or anything, she did, and hers was still more (JUST AN FYI FOR MALES). She also started after him and ended before him. This is something minor, but because of the services I received I was a little ticked off-- my sister is full blown pregnant and her lady didn't even offer to assist or lend a hand in any way. My sister thankfully had us around so I ran to help her out of the chair. I did see another lady help an elderly woman out of the pedicure chair.. so like I said, maybe it's just who you get. Side note: I had asked at the front "don't they usually clean your nails such as the cuticles and dead skin" and they told me that's an extra charge. They seem to love to nickel and dime for every little service which I thought was customary when getting a "MANICURE." Maybe they need to update the name of their services because a "manicure," when you look it up, is "a cosmetic treatment of the hands and fingernails, including trimming and polishing of the nails and removing cuticles" (dictionary.com). read more

The only thing this place has ever had going for it has been the competitive prices. Yes, they painted the walls and added a little waterfall but it's still the same old over-worn fixtures and the same staff. I used to come here in high school and knew it was "the cheap place" then and if anything it has worsened over the years. I made an appointment for 6:30pm and arrived at 6:20 pm to pick my gel color. I was rushed to pick my gel color after I said I was not ready three times but did not want to cause a scene so I settled on a color that I'm not even happy with; I was also charged an extra $5 bc the color I ended up with has a slight sparkle in it.. I did not receive any of the manicure benefits beyond having my nails painted (no hand massage, no nail file, no cuticle oil or trim) I was in and out in less than FIFTEEN MINUTES. Terrible quality, terrible service. The woman doing my nails was visibly upset when she found out she had to do my manicure. I had very low expectations going in and it went even worse. I got regular Polish bc I won't be able to come back for some time bc I'm giving birth literally this week. The only 9 month pregnant woman in the place and somehow I'm getting moved around station to station. Whatever I bite my tongue. The nail polish came out so lumpy and gross bc the tech doing my nails rushed it. If you've ever done your own regular Polish in your life you know what I'm talking about. I showed the techs and patrons next to me literally were like yeah that's lumpy and bad. So I got up to leave. Why would I wait for nails to dry that I'm just going to have to redo myself? Anyways, They blamed my nails you know the beautiful gaslighting people love to do and then finally by the end said it was likely their Polish and they can redo with a different polish. So when I get there they do a polish change for what I thought and usually paid 20 for. Then when she was done she told me I had to wait a little longer for my fill in because they over booked. I then went to grab a slice of pizza but the pizza store was closed. They still were not ready to do my nails. The girl then asks me to pay for my feet. I'm like sure but when are my nails going to be done. She said she didn't know and told me my polish change was 30 dollar's like since when if you go on thier website it says 5 & up. And now I'm noticing that she is taking white ladies before me to do their nails Even the nice white lady told me it was unfair she was being seen before me becauseher appointmentwas at 2:00pm. I'm like what about my appointment. They say first come first serve. What the hell is the point of the appointment then. Never will I come here again and it's sad because SELENA does a really great job. But when you choose to serve people over another race you should be closed down in my opinion. Today I had to get a gel color change on both toes and nails and when it was time for nails it was 4:25 and I had to be at another appointment at 5, I asked the gentleman doing my nails if it Would be done by then and he said he'll try his best and I kid you not they were done !!! I've been going back and forth on if I should write a review on this nail salon because it's not going to be so great and it's a shame because I really do love getting my pedicures done here with Lyn. The pedicure isn't the problem because honestly they do an amazing job with that. I have been coming to Elegance Nail Salon for about 2 years now and I usually get a regular pedicure, eyebrow wax and a gel manicure. The issue is the manicures. I spend 30+ dollars on a gel manicure for them to not even give me a full manicure. I am so confused. They literally cut my nails if i want them cut, do a quick file and paint. My gel manicure took 10 mins to do this weekend. They don't cut cuticles, soak, or do anything else and if they do they tell you it's an extra charge. Isn't the point of a manicure to get this all done? I could have done that at home alone. They rush through the process and still over charge you and expect a tip. I tip every time because I just can't be that type of person but honestly it's not deserved at all. I really didn't want to have to go to two different nail salons but I am going to start having to do that. Hopefully they read these reviews and start to see how unhappy people are with the service we are paying for. Hopefully they do better and stop taking advantage. read more

Terrible customer service. I got my nails done at 6:15 PM. I waited with my nails in acetone for a solid 20 minutes because the woman doing my nails started doing someone else's halfway through starting mine. She finishes my nails and they look fine. I get home and start to see bubbles but they close at 7:30 so I want until the morning. I get to the salon at opening time the next day and show them how every single one of my nails has at least 1-3 bubbles each. They refuse to fix it without charging full price... bubbles happened because it was their mistake and they refuse to fix it. Will not return and will never recommend this place to friends and family. Now I'll be at a wedding this weekend with a rupturing gel mani from uncured polish getting all over my hands read more

I do have my 2 fav people for acrylic tips, John and Kevin. They're precise, quick and the salon doesn't overcharge, considering the quality of their work. Made appt more than a month out for myself and daughters for mani-pedi when they reopened after Christmas. Got there was rushed to choose color, separated from each other, staff rude-spoke in foreign language to any other employee even yelling to reach other end of building not to customer: work less than good very rushed smudged nails- despite having appt they took walkins and after 1hr 15 mins walked out without manicure. love this place. my friend recommended it to me and i was iffy because it's further than my regular salon (but not that fAr cuz it's within 20 minutes) 100% going to come here 95% of the time because this place is great and can do anything i ask for and they do it so well! the quality of their polishes and work are great. i've gone 3 times and every time i've had someone different and it comes out amazing haven't been disappointed yet. But I recently got sat with Ryan and my god this man is wonderful. He pays so much attention to detail and to everything he's doing. I come here all the time! It's great! I hate regular polish because it chips fast and I hate waiting for it to dry then it smudging before I even leave the salon! So I always get gel polish! I would've given this place 0 stars if I could. I tried to schedule an appointment with a specific technician on Saturday first thing when they opened, they told me she was completely booked. I called back Sunday & asked what her next available opening was and they told me Tuesday at 11, which didn't work for me cause I work till 4:30. She then offered me Tuesday at 5 o clock, and I said that was perfect. I show up 20 minutes early to my appointment only to be told that my appointment was for 6 o clock. I told her no, I'm positive she said 5 o clock as I have somewhere to be at 6:30. After all that, she asks me if I would like a different technician, to which I replied no, otherwise I would have had them done Saturday. To top that all off she asked if I wanted to wait.
