Just had another great manicure by Liam here. He is timely and efficient and gentle while he does your nails. He takes the time to ask your opinion and really listens to what you say and does what you want. My fall leaf was just the right touch to make the color pop. Adding glitter to it helped it shine and he especially coated twice to preserve it longer. He is consistent with fees which are reasonable compared to other salons. I will keep going back. read more

The $5 upcharge for PPE is ridiculous. This place is always busy. I've been here four times and have been less impressed by each visit than before. Here are my toes... a mess. Uneven and top coat was not properly applied. Clearly needed another coat. They didn't do my nails, just toes. read more

Love this salon. They take care of you nails not just file down and throw some polish on. They wrap your nails for gel removal instead of soaking your whole hand in that bowl of acetone. They pay attention to the health of you nail bed recommending protective styles. I usually get the dip powder manicure last about 3 weeks sometimes longer! Just want to say that years later and Gel & Spa still only offers quality service. I received a beautiful gift certificate for Christmas this year and got to come in and use it right away for my New Year's Eve nails. This salon continues to make improvements to its interior and services. They collect well trained technicians and I always feel comfortable with whoever I get that day - I will sometimes request a certain technician if it's a busy day but I know that whoever I get will do a good job. Gel manicures always last the full two weeks, waxing is painless and precise and the pedicures are attentive to detail. Super clean, friendly and most importantly they never keep u waiting! I love a place you can call for an appt and they honor it. They constantly make sure you are comfortable and are open 7 days a week! They also have so many gel/nail polish colors to have matching toes and hands....also a plus! Perfect gel manicure from Lourdes who has awesome customer service. She's new so she doesn't do acrylic yet but definitely ask for her!! I really loved her! Gracias Lourdes!! Nice location and they have a parking lot. As you walk in you can either sign up for their free membership and make an appointment or you can make an appointment ahead of time. It is nicely staffed on Fridays and it looks pretty inside. Tina is very nice and helpful; she did my manicure and pedicure, she was very delicate and she took time and properly did my mani pedi. I have been to this salon twice. The 1st time was a decent experience except I did have a 25 minute wait for a fill. The lady that did my pedi and fill was pleasant and did a nice job. The second time I went it was horrible. My usual salon was super busy so I figured I would try this place again. Also, I promised my daughter she could get a Mani pedi. When I got my pedi the man who did it was very rough. He cut my nails crooked and cut 5 of my toes. I told him it hurt but he continued to do it even though I started to bleed and pull away. When they did my daughter's nails it was basically the same thing. I will never go to this place again. read more

Normally I don't get my nails done regularly, only for special events, but after getting a gel manicure that grew out so well over the course of 3+ weeks (no lifting, very minimal chips at the tip) I found myself longing for another. I use my hands a lot so finding something that really lasts and wears well is important to me. My second time there I was pampered by Jade, who was very meticulous and welcoming. She took her time and even helped me pick between a few colors (they have A LOT of gel colors to choose from). Very relaxing foot massage lots of care and hospitality. Clean establishment. I got a spa pedicure which was a nice little treat. Hot stone, hot towels and I think she noticed I had tight calves so she helped relax the muscle. I then got a UV gel manicure which is super nice and holding up well. If you are looking for a great nail salon in the area, Gel and Spa is seriously the place to go. I have tried so many salons over the years, in many different states, and Dani is by far the best nail tech I have ever had. She is more like a nail artist and understands what works best for your nails and how to take care of them. Now, I will never go anywhere else. The pedicures are amazing as well, and the shop is super clean and beautiful. Everyone I have met there is friendly, kind and provides excellent services and professionalism. Dani is very fast but super-efficient and a perfectionist. I normally never get nail art and always go for a gel French, but I was convinced to give it a shot after seeing another girl there who had a similar style. I absolutely love it and everyone compliments me on them. You can get a shoddy, simple manicure at any salon, but if you take pride in your nails and want a long-lasting, beautiful manicure, you must see Dani! read more

A friend and I were looking for a place to meet up after work for a mani and pedi and noticed all the great reviews on this place. The place is obviously new, very well decorated, and clean. The massage chairs, watermelon, and water was a very nice touch!! Overall my pedicure was good with the exception of absolutely nothing being done to the bottom of my feet other than a two second scrub. I know a lot of places in the area depend on the add on callus remover but I expect some base pumicing to be done without that also. Also we were there very late so perhaps this was why but I was not offered the add on treatment either - even though I'm probably always super in need :( The manicure was nice but I must have picked one of those chalky nail polishes and it bubbled a bit and bled into a lot of my nail bed. I pointed it out to her on one nail and she tried to fix it but unfortunately by the time I got in my car all of them on one hand were looking pretty messy! Overall I'm hoping they work out some of the kinks to ensure good work to compliment the beautiful place and service. They have some very nice touches but compared to some of the salons I frequent some hot stones and more massage time are things I really enjoy most that they could improve. Yeah don't go here if you want acrylics with any design. I called in advance for an appointment and was not walk in. She did not ask what shape I wanted or design or colors and just started working and acted extremely inconvenienced when I asked her to change the shape and what colors I wanted. Like she new what was best for me. On top of that it started to chip less than 7 days in, a full set with gel usually lasts me 4weeks. Over priced, attitude, will definitely not be returning even though location is so convenient for me. read more

This is by far my favorite nail salon in the Bridgewater/Somerville area! I've been a loyal customer since they've opened. Unlike other salons in the area this salon is always clean. They are very patient when getting a mani, pedi. There's never a rush, they like to take their time and make sure you're getting your money's worth. Danni is my go to for my gel manicures, I've never had a nail break or chip when she does my nails. Her work is quality. And Miriam does a great pedi! I used to love going to this location but my last visit there will be my final one. I wasn't given the technician that I had requested over the phone for my appointment, she kept digging at the side of my nails even after I was flinching and asked her to stop. Lastly I asked for change for a $20 for a tip and was only given two tens. Cmon, needless to say I won't be coming back ever again. read more

Guys! If I could give 1 star, I would. The prices in the book is not the price that she charged me. She charged me and arm and a leg for tips and color. It is crazy. Very satisfied with my service here. I usually go to a different solan but my mother comes here frequently so I decided to try it out. I got a pedicure first which lasted about an hour which had me shocked. The massage was to die for, I enjoyed the hot rocks and the hot towel. All of those combined was definitely a great touch. Then I got a gel manicure, they were able to match the color from my toes which made me happy. The gel is staying on extremely well. I also have gotten my eye brows waxed here before without a nail service and I was extremely happy, the women who did my nails only took off what was needed and didn't make them too thin. Went here couple of days ago. I have this horrible nails before from biting and picking so i decided to get some gel polish and extensions so i can stop from biting it. Henry did a really good for transforming my nails. Just a couple of skin tears but at the end he put some antifungal i guess on it. I just wish they did 3 coats intead of two though. read more

Loved the service here! I went to another salon prior to my visit here and I was not happy with the acrylic overlay that salon did on top of my real nails. I endured the bad nail job for 2 weeks and decided to give GEL & SPA a chance since it was close to my job. Nancy did great on my nails. She corrected the mistakes made by the other salon (thickness and unevenness). She took her time and I loved the outcome. I took a star away because another lady did my pedicure (she did great, but I didn't grab her name) and I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to free up to do my nails because she had an appointment walk-in. I don't know anyone who wants to spend time in a nail salon waiting to be serviced on a Friday evening. I'll make an appointment the next time I visit. read more

I have been having my nails done for about 10 years, and this is the first time that I got a fungal infection and it affected every single fingernail and toenail. My doctor put me on a 4 month course of oral anti fungal medication which is not great for the liver. In this time, my fingernails should grow out and clear, but it takes about 18 months for toe nails to grow out, so I may have to do another course of anti-fungal meds. Not happy at all. The salon is beautiful. The pedicures are heavenly. But the salon staff really need to use sanitized equipment for every customer and they need to learn to recognize a fungal infection and turn away customers who have one.

Checkout was a bit challenging too bc the employee didn't realize what was being charged (he added another svc that did not happen. Other than that, the service was quick and pleasant.

I've gone to a ridiculous amount of nail salons... First off this is definitely the cleanest and most attractive spot. I'm always taken right away, and they never rush my nails. Danni is my girl, shes the BEST nail tech in my opinion. Its obvious she takes pride in her work, and is super precise. I always get a gel mani and they're literally perfect every single time. I can go a month with out a Gel fill in if i wanted to...not that I would. But my nails stay strong and always look on point even after a few weeks. They're kinda pricier compared to other spots... but considering the quality, it's totally worth it. read more

This is my new and already favorite nail salon. The staff is great. Danni does a phenomenal job every time. My nails (hand and toes) have never looked this good. They are always perfect...flawless in fact! And if it weren't for natural nail growth, it'd be difficult to discern between 3-week and 3-day old nails. They still look amazing 2 to 3 weeks in-always do. I have been getting my nails done for many, many years and have never been this thrilled.
