Last brutal winter I had to visit Galaxy Tires for repairs on my car because of all the pot holes created by the snow & salt. This year I have been lucky and have not visited the Tire Doc. They do a great job on repairing tires at a reasonable price. $7 will cover the a nail damaged tire. The repairs are for the inside, not a plug from the outside. This place is a real Mom & Pop business. When the weather is nice Mom & Pop is sitting outside and relaxing! So make a note and visit if your car tires ever need repair. read more

Horrible horrible horrible I woke up and about to get my car realized that both front tyres were flat...I tried to fix that myself by using the portable tire inflator...which worked!! So I rushed to the closest tyre shop which happened to be Galaxy (found it thru yelp)...I told the guy what has happened so he checked everything and said probably somebody loosened the valves overnight and it's fine now... I drove back home and few hours later the low pressure light was on again...I was so frustrated and went back to galaxy and asked him to check again. He didn't even look at the front tyres and concluded "it gotta be the back one"...I was like are you sure? At the end he fixed the back tyre said there's hole on it and charged me $12...I begged him to check the front tyres at the end he just pumped some air in and let me go... A day later same thing FLAT FRONT TYRES! Thanks Galaxy for that. The guy speaks Spanish but I'm sure he understood what I requested him to do... read more

Stay away!!! I gave him the benefit of the doubt by going back a second time and the experience was even worse than the first time. No prices posted, he quotes a crazy high price and when you question him, he gives you another price and if you question him more he tells you to leave. Like others have mentioned, they are beyond rude. Worse run business I've ever seen. I like to support local businesses in the neighborhood, but can not recommend this place at all. Don't waste your money here, apparently they don't need it or welcome your business. Go somewhere else that will appreciate you and your business. Sadly would give a no star rating!!!! read more

Galaxy - you are a life saver. Go figure, I came here because we drove over some debris and poked a couple of holes in a tire. After switching out for a dummy, we Yelped up a near by place and Galaxy came up. Rich W: thanks for the beacon of hope. Galaxy is definitely a mom & pop (or mami & papi) business. It's tiny but still manages to have a small parking area in front of it (which is more than I could say for a bunch of other mechanics I've been to). "Mr. Galaxy" is very knowledgeable and straight forward; telling you exactly what he thinks you should do (without trying to rip you off). We ended up needing a "new" tire (damned construction debris!) and paid $40 for it. Our busted tired was swapped out and the replacement installed by the time I got back from the ATM across the street (they are cash only). Just in time too (two others were waiting in line with flats-in-axle)! If only they were open 24 hours! read more

My brother went in today to have his tires checked since its pressure keeps on dropping low even if he just put air into it. The Spanish guy (he said he's the owner's brother) who dealt with him was very rude beyond measure. My brother was nicely asking questions and giving him pieces of information about his tire to give the guy a good idea about what's going on but he either cuts or brushes him off. He doesn't want to listen and he sounded so arrogant. My brotber's questions were genuinely out of curiosity hoping it would help the guy, and at the same time him, understand as to why his tire pressure is acting up the way it is. How hard is it to not answer someone sarcastically? specially when dealing with a customer? Today was enough for us to say we'll never bring our business back to this place. Needed to get a tire replaced so I found this place through Yelp. Got my damaged tire replaced with Bridgestone tire for only $50.00. They checked the air pressure on all my tires as well to make sure everything was running smoothly. Staff is polite and they get the job done quickly. I've been patronizing Galaxy Tires for many years and until recently have always had good experiences with the repair of my tires. Last month I noticed damage to my rear tire and was concerned that I might need a replacement tire. I brought it to Galaxy and was told that it should be replaced. Because I trusted the owner from my past experiences, I ordered a new tire and left a deposit. When I picked up the tire the next day, he adamantly refused to provide either a receipt or warranty for the new tire - and even threatened to call the police. I regret not calling his bluff.
