My last review was from 12 years ago, but I've definitely come back here a few times since. The prices has obviously gone up, but the service is still the same. Prompt service, didn't try to upsell me, and they tell it like it is. Sadly, this time the sidewall of the tire was cracked, and had to be replaced. For my car, they only had 3 brands in stock: Waterfall for $120. Sumitomo for $160 or Continental for $210. Each price included balance and mounting. Opted for Continental as it was backed by a 1 yr warranty against flats. read more

Born in queens if you ever needed your flat tire change you came here . I was always a happy customer and I see how the men work hard in any weather condition. But the last few times I've been terrible service long waits and they advertise 24hours they are not I believe they close 11pm. Basically took my car last time all tired after work. Spoke to the guy asked if he had the same tire he said yes i agreed on the price he basically brings out a tire from the same brand but not the version all season vs the sport model I needed. I told him that's not the same tire waste of time I ended paying 100$ for used tire so I can just get out from there. Came in to get all 4 wheels changed to new tires, I dropped over $700 btw. They literally messed up the plasti dip that I JUST got done on the rims. When I confronted them about it, they denied it to the fullest. On top of that, in this picture u can see that they also took one of the center caps. Before I showed up to this mechanic shop, all my rims were 100% blacked out and clean and I had all my center caps on each rim (I made sure of that!) I dropped this much money and all my rims were messed up. It looks like they didn't even care, they just did what had to be done, quickly. Which is probably how they lost one of my center caps. They're dealing with people's car/ property they should be MORE careful and MORE considerate. My bf was about to tip them a good amount until this is what we came back to. I got a flat tire while driving in the highway, needed a quick fix and i was on the way to Rainhas Churrascaria. Perfectly couple stores away there was my life savior that can do quick fix. A little long waiting as it was busy and specially Pandemic everything is slower and less people working. I am glad they were able to fix it right on the spot and I can drive my Highlander home safe. Whenever my winter tires thrown on or a balance I'd come here. Never had an issue. Today I am very disappointed. I showed up early today to have two tires mounted on some rims. I specifically said the valves are bad and need to be changed as well. I brought the rims off the car to make it a pretty easy job. I was surprised it cost $70. I have the guy a 10$ tip regardless. The price is what it is but why got me is that I get home and notice one valve wasn't changed. Ok fine it was overlooked still not deserving of a bad review. Stuff happens. What got me is I went back, waited about 20 min...mind you I'm still ok at this point..and was told it be 15$ to change the valve. Mind you this was their mistake.. and even if the cost of the valve wasn't included in the 70$......15$ for a valve? Seriously? They lost my business and further recommendation. read more

These incompetent workers damaged my expensive wheels when they mounted them on my tires that I provided. They have no regard for your expensive wheels at all. The worker was warned by me to not damage the wheels and he didn't even care clearly as shown by the way he handled the wheel. When I told them if they're gonna pay for the 2 wheels they damaged, they claimed there was no damage. They also lied that there was no damage. 10pm on a snowy night I find a flat on my car! I pumped the tire up with my portable electric pump and made my way to all the local tire repair places around Elmhurst and Woodside. None of them are open! WTF what to do? I need to drive early the next day. I called a friend who referred me to Red Line on Northern Blvd which is open 24/7! I pulled in just before 11PM and by 11:30pm my tire was repaired and I am on my way! The cost: $10 only! Most other places charges my a lot more. Service was fast. The worker don't say much but there is not a lot to say other them "fix this" and "how much." They just smile. Worth keeping their address in the car, especially during pothole season! When I was leaving I notice a line of 5 cars wait their turn, mostly because of the potholes. read more

After buying my new car I noticed that my tire was loosing air..I immediately googled the nearest tire shop that was open 24hrs. I came here for the first time and it was around 11pm. The Gentleman that worked on my car noticed a tear on the inner wall of my tire. He said no patch can fix this. I took a picture to show my dealership. I asked the mechanic how much will it be to replace I only have card. I ask if he can put a used tire, He said we do not have your size in used tires. I ask how much for new he said $299.00 plus tax which brings it to$315.00. It was the middle of the night and he knew I had no choice. I was not going anywhere with my flat tire. And my dealership was closed. My car was a Mercedes benz c 300. I told the man to put a brand new tire...the tire he used was not even new..he said its brand new. The tire looked like it was used before. Worn out/ faded tire tread. It wouldnt even pass the penny test. I know when someone is taking advantage. It was late and I didn't feel the need to go back and forth I wanted to go home. Job was done I paid. The other guy on the inside that took my payment ask me for my address..to write it down on a paper with other information. Since when do you need to give address After replacing a tire that was not even new. He said it for your recipe. But I was using card which prints out a recipe. It's not like they repaired my engine..I said no. Got back to my car and notice the psi level was not registering. Start the car up again and still nothing. I walked over to the tire and saw that my tire cap was missing and that the gentleman put a broken plastic cap instead of my original tire cap. These cars come with it's own cap for a reason..I confronted the man and then he gave me the correct cap for my tire..it worked and I was out. Folks, I do not write reviews but I felt that I was taken advantage of and would not want anyone to go through this. It can happen to anyone. Because of my experience I will never have my car service here again. Good side of this was that the did the job and got me home safe but come on and I am thankful. read more

If only you could put 0. And I mean ZERO stars. How they are still in business is beyond me. They charged my $270 for my tire where anywhere else its average is $150. The only reason I paid it was because I am going on a long road trip and don't have time to go to different place. Workers took all the time in the world just to put in one tire and rotate 2 tires. The woman at the cashier desk was extremely rude. I know she thinks her shit doesn't stink. I would never let a person like her work for me. She should be grateful she even has a job. We came here for a tire replacement and was given a free alignment. After coming back in a month to get The free alignment, we were told that deal was only for "2-3 weeks", which we were not told. Never doing business with these people again!! I had my rims Plasti Dipped recently just for these people to destroy the paint job. Very careless... they will NOT treat your property with caution!!. If you have a nice car... take it somewhere else because I'm telling you now... you will be disappointed. They also lost the logo piece to one of my center caps and they really had to audacity to tell me that I brought my wheels like that, when right before I gave them my wheels to change, I had seen that all of my rims were looking good and had no missing pieces. And on top of that, they could care less about how they present themselves. I paid for brand new wheels and they looked like old used ones from how dirty they gave them to me. Had these people done a better job... I would've tipped them but SCREW THAT! I left very disappointed. Please reconsider coming here to have something done to your car, especially if you have a nice car like I said before!!! In the pictures attached you can see all 4 rims were messed up. They sold us new tires 2 weeks ago. One of the tires exploded this weekend. We went back tonight at 6 PM, with documentation of the sale, to ask for the exploded tire to be replaced. Completely unresponsive workers, they stated that no manager is present and the person who replaced the tires is on vacation (!!! Why is that even relevant???) and they kept asking to come back tomorrow (which we can not because we'll be at work), they claimed there is no warranty, and they were extremely unprofessional. Additionally, on the 4 tires they provided two weeks ago they only accepted cash but no card payments, highly suspicious behavior for a "business"! read more

Was recommended by a long time commercial customer to come here to get a wheel alignment and have a camber bolt put in as the place by me in Long Island didn't have any bolts on hand. JJ performing the work tells me he can't install the bolt, it will take too long. Imagine traveling 25 miles and waiting 1.5 hrs to get this service done just to hear they can't install the bolt because the boss needs him to work on other cars and that they don't install bolts any longer. What complete BS. The guy ahead of me had showed me his receipt for his alignment $60 AND camber bolt $40 installed for $100 total. What ever happened to customer service? I brought my car in to get the service done properly. I don't want to hear it will take too long and you can't do it. The only good thing about this place was the politeness of the cashier. I came here today to try and get a used tire. I usual fix a flat spot didn't have my size and my regular tire place is a further away and it was after hours(8 pm). The service was good and quick. I was out of there in less than half an hour. They didn't have a used on in my size either so I ended up buying a new tire. Cost was about $115. That's about right for a decent new tire. Drove from Indy to New York not realizing oil change was due. Looked up places on Yelp and found Red Line. Got in right away and was done in about 40 minutes. The man working there also alerted me to some corrosion on the battery terminal and told me to keep an eye on it. He made no attempt to upsell a battery to me and I greatly appreciate that! This is a very hard review for me to leave, because the tire and alignment guys were efficient and friendly, although I did have to wait some time to get everything done. My main concern was with the horrific experience with management there. Last night I got a flat tire while out of state, and drove over 50 miles to find this shop in the middle of the winter storm. The guys at night were great, told me I can replace my front 2 tires and can come back in the morning for an alignment since my wheel was shaky when turning, and the alignment guy was not there at the time. They and the checkout cashier at night also mentioned if I got 4 tires the alignment is for free, but the price for everything was very high so I wanted to wait on the back 2 tire replacements. I came in early this morning for the alignment with cash on hand, and JJ the alignment guy said he couldn't do it because the back 2 tires are very worn out so there wouldn't be a warranty. Out of fear of getting into problems with those tires, the bad weather and my safety, I had to replace the back 2 tires as well (a total of $600 for all 4 tires). There was some confusion with what exactly was free since I replaced all 4 tires, the balancing vs. alignment when JJ had spoken with me. Once all was replaced and I had to pay, I was called by the manager Mario. Firstly, their policy is that pay by cash is tax free but with card they will charge tax. Last night I had nothing but card on hand so I paid for the 2 tires with tax. This morning I had about $100 for alignment separately but since I unexpectedly was told to get the extra 2 back tires, I decided to pay the cash towards this and cover the rest with my credit card to reduce the tax. Mario tried to double my tax charge so I'd pay taxes for $300 in card charge, instead of the $200 in card charge since the rest was cash. I had to correct him on that attempt to overcharge, and he begrudgingly changed it. Then he asked me to pay for $75 in alignment fees. I said I'm sorry but I was told with 4 tires you get alignment for free, so I don't have to pay this fee as per the employees who did my tires and alignment since I was forced to change all 4 tires. Instead of working with me, he argues back and forth about how that used to be their former policy but now is not the case, how I cannot come in and buy 2 tires at night, then 2 tires in the AM and expect to get a deal as if I planned on all this. I was quite upset since he had both receipts in front of him, all tires bought within 12 hours from his shop. When he called in the alignment guy JJ who appeared very worried, he questioned him about the free alignment offer with 4 tires, and JJ said that I may have misunderstood the free alignment deal. At this point I told him in honesty why he would say one thing to me and something else in front of management, and that it's important to not lie and be honest with customers. JJ was actually quite professional and tried to explain the situation in a calm manner, but to my shock and disgust, Mario the manager turns around at this point, raises his voice at me, and says verbatim "Are you threatening me?! Because we're not going to go there!" I was completely taken aback by this aggression and attack on a customer by the MANAGER of the store, yelling the whole time! Regular personnel there were more maturely dealing with and resolving the customer concern than the actual manager? In all my dealings with customer service, I've never been personally insulted, harassed or yelled at by management or staff at any level who decide to gaslight their customers and walk back their words, and this was absolutely disgusting and inappropriate behavior by the store manager. This kind of behavior belongs on the streets or with gangs, not in a professional establishment. Clearly I will never be back here again for the dishonesty and sick service, but as a female, it is my duty to fairly warn any female customers who come here to be aware of and report this manager if he lies, becomes hostile or aggressive to any customers. The fact that this place is a 24/7 tire repair shop is great. I can here on a Monday night around 11pm and to my surprise, it was actually pretty crowded. After a 25 minute wait, which isn't bad at all considering the line, the guy that helped me suggested i patch instead of plug -- no complaints from me. 20 minutes from the time he takes off my tire and patches it, I'm out of there. I was charged 15$ which is very fair. The only thing that bothered me was that I don't know if he balanced the tire or not. He claimed he did but I doubt he even bothered considering it was a rear tire. read more

At this time my husband walked to the store. Next thing I know that totally skipped my car and worked 2 cars that came after me. I was so upset. In Nassau and Suffolk counties, a 24 hour tire repair shop isn't that easy to come by. In Queens however, there's quite a few around. I would consider this place one of the better ones. They don't price gouge you when you're somewhat desperate, and their prices for new tire installations are pretty reasonable. So if you're in need of tire repair, buying just 1 used tire because of a blowout, or a set of 4 new ones because it's just time, you can't go wrong coming here. I like the fact that they're not nickel and diming you the way some other shops do. read more

Came here before, never had any problems on a BMW 335i. Got a nail in the tread, should be an easy fix. They took the wheel off the car, found the nail in my tire, and fixed it. when they were reinstalling the wheel, I saw a clear abrasion on the face of the wheel that is obviously not curb rash and not self-inflicted. This is a literally brand new car with 3k miles on it. Told the manager (Mario) who accused me of being a liar and that I did it. said he will charge me for two jobs if it turns out the machine did not cause the damage. WELL MAYBE YOUR LAZY EMPLOYEE RESTED HIS TIRE IRON ON THE FACE OF THE WHEEL? At this point the manager started cursing at me, dropping the F bomb on me and looked two seconds from wanting to punch me in the face in a confrontational manner. At this point, I walked into the waiting area continuing this argument, where he softened his stance and denied ever cursing at me when other customers were there. I was two seconds from calling the police to pull the video surveillance inside the service area due to this two-faced "manager". If I didn't have to go pick my kid up from day care I probably would have. I'm not a self-entitled customer who wants a foot rub or candy while he waits. I just wanted a flat tire fixed. They damaged the wheel, have the video surveillance to prove it. If I can steer even one person from choosing this place for any work, I would be thrilled. Decent service and work. I feel like I constantly have to bargain to get a decent price. But that's how it is in that area. Make sure to be pushy there when you go for service. They have a tendency to not notice you if you don't bug them for help. Have been coming here for a few years to get used tires but they don't always have it. I usually wait 30 minutes for them to look before they say they don't have. I highly recommend to call in advance to see if they have your tire or not. I have decided to switch spots because my luck with this hasn't been great recently and he charged me more than usual the last time I was there. Can't stand inconsistency. One of the surprisingly few auto shops open 24/7 in the Queens area. We got a flat tire the weekend before Christmas and our AAA Tow guy who came out to help us recommended this place. For 8pm on a holiday weekend this place was bumpin'. We only had a nail in the tire so we were able to get it patched. It took about 10 minutes and cost $10. Does anything cost $10 in New York?! What a steal. I can happily report that even with the "polar vortex" and extensive holiday traveling the last 2 weeks our patch is still intact and going strong. High recommend this joint! read more

I waited about an hour and a half before i was entertained but they were able to fix my tire in 15 minutes and paid $30. They're busy for a reason, and worth the wait. A snowstorm was quickly approaching and figured that the balding summer tires on my RWD car is probably not that great of an idea. I found the specific set of tires that I wanted on Tirerack for $660 without the cost of installing and mounting the tires and Red Line not only had those tires in my size, they also had it in stock same day which is pretty much unheard of. Every other place I called, had to order it and wait a day or two but they had it in my size 18" and in stock and able to install same day. They also charged me $680 if I paid in cash which I did and had me out in about 90 minutes with a brand new set of all season tires. Only paid an extra $20 for installation, mounting, tire removal, and random fees when compared to Tirerack. The only negative I had was the wait to get everything started. This place is ridiculously busy and took about 10 minutes before the guy at the counter could even talk to me. But the selection, the price, and the fact this place is open 24 hours makes this place a no brainer. read more

As I was driving home on the Grand Central Parkway on a Sunday night, I managed to hit a massive pothole completely slashing my tire. (Gotta love these NY potholes). Naturally, I had to act fast and find the closest 24 hour tire shop to my proximity. Red Line Tire just so happened to be that place. I managed to make it to the shop without having to call a tow truck. Lord knows I would not have been happy with that as an added expense. When I arrived, there were about 3 or 4 cars ahead of me. I was seen in about 20 minutes, rather quick if you ask me. Now, I see many reviews are complaining about their tires being expensive, but what tires aren't and if not, who wants cheap tires? Certainly, not me. With luck such as mine, my tire troubles were not over just yet. I cracked my rim - probably since I was driving on a pity excuse for what used to be a tire - this would run me another $75 and another trip to a mechanic. Luckily, they were able to use some sort of a paste to keep my rim together for another two days until I took it in for repair. They replaced my tire for $275 and quoted me at $60 to fix the rim, if I were to take it to their shop located in Brooklyn. (They actually gave me a lower rate then what I ended up paying at another shop to fix the rim). The mechanic offered to waive taxes if I chose to pay in cash and they conveniently have an ATM machine located in their shop. Now, this is the reason for my 4 star rating - otherwise I would have given them 5 stars. The maximum amount that can be taken out of the machine is $200 - which resulted in two transactions with two atm fees and two non-chase atm fees, so in the end I do not think I saved myself any money. BUT! If you are looking for a 24hr tire shop and it is a dire emergency - this is a great place that offers quick and excellent service. read more

These guys have a LOT of local customers. A LOT. Taxi and car service folks come here, as well as locals. I came in Thursday afternoon and it was quite busy. Ended up talking to a livery driver while they fixed my tire. Drove in with a spare in the front. What else is new? Nail in tire. Fixed $10 bucks, in about 15 minutes. Also fixed rear tire (another $10) which also had a nail, but smaller. Wasn't giving me any trouble but thought I'd fix it while I was there. Got a receipt for the work, despite what the other reviewer claimed. Drove for a week on both tires without problems. TIP: Cash works best here. Tipping the guy also helps too :) TIP: Friend told me to ask them to fix the hole "from the inside," which lasts longer than just a tire plug? No idea what that really means, but I asked them and they did it. read more

These guys are awesome. I had another competitor do an oil change they told me all 4 of my tires had "wheel rot". They had a special buy 3 get 1 free for the obnoxious price of almost 700 bucks. So I brought my 08 Toyota to redline. I had used them in the past for nail in my tire. I mean they are called redline tires. They checked my tires and said "you got dirt in your tires but your back tires are balding bad". So I said replace them please ..I thought possible all 4 were shot. They told me the price and I swear I wanted to kiss them. Under 200 for both. They did it within 45 minutes. They also found a nail in a 3rd tire. They sure have earned my trust!!! I'm going to start using them for my inspection and tune ups! Btw the ladies room is so super clean and nice. read more
