Needed in blown in insulation to cut down in energy costs, it was blown all into one place and not spread out. I have called all layers of management, even district managers to ask nicely to please even out the insulation. I have been calling since 2014. I wasn't able to get electrical work done in my home for years because an electrician wouldn't go into my attic. I did have a salesman call me back and be very nice but it didn't go anywhere and service never called me back. read more

Big shout out to Rick Lang of Gale who went the extra mile for my job in South Lake Tahoe. Prior to insulating, we had installed a somewhat unusual whole house fan with highly insulated louvres that mechanically open. After the insulation job was done, I discovered the baffling around the fan was a little too tight, causing the fan to be unable to fully open. Rick came back up that afternoon and fixed it, and then sent the crew back a few weeks later to touch up the spots where he had to wade through R49. All the while, maintaining good communication and working around my schedule. I initially did not want fiberglass, but nobody is blowing cellulose up here, and the new fiberglass does look and feel different. Let's just hope nobody ever has to go up there again. read more

Do no use this company for Gutter installation!!!! Terrible job. They did to big of a span so all this winter it held water and then froze making it sag in the middle. Called them back to give me a quote to have two drains on the ends so it would drain properly. Quote was 400.00 but after thinking about it I thought they should repair it at no cost since it was not done correctly the first time. I asked the estimator to talk to his boss and let me know what his thoughts are. Since I asked him to talk to his boss they have not contacted me back. Very poor customer service to not even reply back. read more

I am a DIYer and normally am turned off by the idea of paying someone to do work but as I only have so many hours in the day, I reached out to Rick at Gale Products for a quote on some new gutters. One of the first things that impressed me about the company was the excellent response time and customer service I received from Rick. The turn around from contact to quote was excellent. Rick was willing to work with me on the project and find a price point that would work for both of us. The job followed shortly there after and I am extremely pleased with the quality of the job. Twice I was told that someone would call me back and they never did. Long story short they installed insulation under my house. I measured it to be 2000 sq ft. Turned out 500 sq ft was already insulated. When the job was done the two tech's left me 7 bags of insulation, since I paid for it. I called Gale to ask if they would take it back and credit my final invoice. The manager flipped out on the phone saying how the two tech's weren't supposed to leave me the extra material and they were probably going to get fired for it. He said he would look into it and never called me back. So to sum things up, even though I told them I had a 2000 sq ft space, they only insulated 1500. They were supposed to keep the extra 500 sq ft of material and still charge me for 2000 on material and labor. These people are scum bags. I really hope those two tech's didn't get fired. read more

I thought this would be a good company; they called us quickly at our request, showed on time for the quote and had good prices. THEN installation day came... They showed up for the attic insulation installation but they didn't bother to show up for the 7 hour job of insulating the floor and wrapping the pipes until after 3pm (they were supposed to come in the morning)! Seriously, we took a day off work for this!!! The quoted 7 hour insulation took them 2 hours which A) makes me wonder if they did the full basement & B) makes me wonder why I had to pay the same amount as was quoted - it should have been less for labor, wouldn't you think? I feel like paying an inspector to come out and check the quality/completeness so I can have peace of mind. read more

I needed to sub-contract some work for the following week. I received a great quote and was told that if I rushed down there to make a deposit I could lock down the dates I needed. After making my deposit I was told the person responsible for scheduling was in a meeting and would call me right back. I waited four hours and called back Gale. The person who was supposed to call me left for the day. I'm a business owner and this is NOT something I would do to my customers. read more

House looks good from the sidewalk but, there are lot of spots that need touch up, and they never offered to touch spots up. Had a miss communication about under part of deck. They first said it was part of the job but when time ran out they refused to finish because, "it's not on the contract". I guess that's my fault! One of the painters talked more than he worked and they left a bunch of trash and paint chips for us to clean. Thought I was hiring pros. We'll be getting another company to paint our rental property and referring the neighbors to another as well. read more

My experience is that they are unreliable and flakey. They did not show up at all on the day we had scheduled to insulate under our house despite the fact that I took the day off to be there and called to verify that they were coming. After they no-showed, I called and they said that they got stuck on another job and we rescheduled for the next day. They failed to show up that day as well! Big waste of time. read more

Do not use this company. They used me to do a so called 4000.00 energy upgrade, but when i went to sell my house they hadn't done the duct sealing right and refused after only 2 years to cone out and correct there bad workmanship go else where for your insulation needs. read more

Watch out, the salesman "Kim" lies. Get ALL details in writing in your contract. Took over 3 months to finally get the job done, they also made me pay early after numerous harassing phone calls and with lien letters. "Kim" still lied and said job was completed. The manager finallyy got this straightened out and the job is finally completed to my satisfaction. read more

They showed up early, were professional & friendly, quick and when they were done you had no idea they had even been there! They made the process so incredibly easy! Maybe they are good with insulation and should stick to that because as painters they are quite unimpressive! Poor cut in,holidays galore,did not put back items moved for painting ease and sawed off bushes in their way without asking. Second team sent out to recut in paint areas to create clean lines missed two walls (still not done)! No follow up phone calls to check for satisfaction. Will not use this company again and through word of mouth will steer potential customers away. For the amount of money we paid this company for this job I feel ripped off by the results!!! read more

I scheduled to have the craft paper peeled off my existing rolled in insulation and additional blown in insulation installed. Scheduled directly with Gale but the contract is through CSA from a state program. Because the job was supposed to take 2 days and someone has to be present I had to take 2 days off work. Called about 10 am because I hadn't heard from anyone on the day the paper was to be peeled and had to leave a message. No return call so I called again at 1:30 pm to be told that I was not on the schedule because all CSA jobs were on hold. No one told me ahead of time and now I have taken 2 days off for no reason. This job was scheduled directly with Gale yet they are telling me that CSA should have contacted me. This is a horrible business practice and while I am not happy with CSA either since Gale removed my job from their schedule they should have at least notified me. I will get my insulation done but it definitely will not be from this business. read more

Even though Gale's bid was slightly higher than the other bids I received, I hired Gale to paint the exterior of my house. From the estimator to the painters, all were prompt, professional, and friendly and did a beautiful job! They paid extra attention to detail and repaired several minor problems I had.
