Unfortunately, they didn't have much of a selection and the things they sold there were just as expensive as the US. What I did end up enjoying was the food court, the services and the AC! I ended up taking two busses from my hotel to get there and it was HOT outside so the AC was welcomed! My husband and I enjoyed getting tacos and ice cream from the food court. They also have a beautiful balcony that overlooks the ocean connected to the food court. We were also able to get mani/ pedis from one of the nail salons in the mall. Thankfully the owner spoke English and we were able to get an appointment together. I probably wouldn't go out of my way again to go to this mall, but I would still go in if I were already going to the Walmart next door.

Hubbers said we most likely won't find whatever those things were, but thought, "let's give it a shot and check it out anyway." And he was right: I didn't find what I wanted to get. But since we were already here, I thought we'd walk around anyway in case we do find something we might have liked. Typical of most malls in the US, but it gave me more of malls how it was maybe back in the '90's, early '00's. There's the expected food court, Liverpool (sorta like a step below Macy's or Kohl's like store), other independent shoe and clothing store, etc. Nothing really stood out to even slightly tickle my interests. Good run, though... but not sure I'd come back.

That's what Plaza Caracol is. There really aren't any stores worth visiting for, but wandering around is kind of like going back in time. The mall is a full on maze - caracol means snail in Spanish, and you will walk in circles and get lost. There is a Soriana grocery store smack dab in the middle, and a Dairy Queen. Across the parking lot, you'll find a plethora of cellphone accessories, a vape shop and other odds and ends and a bank.

We asked if he could take us and he advised us someone had an appointment but thankfully she never showed up he cut our hairs and styled it with his magic hands. The attendant washed our hair and gave us a fabulous massage too. He fixed my previous hair cut that it wasn't cut properly, thankfully he was able to fix my problem out. Interesting mall that has been around for a while. As far as a walk around mall goes, it does not…read moreoffer enough for the average mall shopper. It is clean and there is security everywhere. It is turning into more of a professional office building. There are doctors, dentists, attorneys, engineers, etc. There are also cleaners, nail salons, hair salons and some boutique stores. The anchor tenant is Mega with everything you need from groceries to liquor to paint to car tires to appliances (fridge, TV, juicer - you name it). There are restaurants around the perimeter like Jeans Hamburgers (awesome), Los Molcajetes (very good), Moka Café (great coffee and lunch) and a few others I have not tried. Parking is cheap ($6MX for 2 hours?). La Isla this is not, but if you must go to the grocery store, stop by and walk around a bit. It is mostly locals and not touristy other than expats going to Mega from the Marina condos.

For example, I did a facial laser treatment and wanted to pick up some new facial soap that wasn't harsh on the skin. A small bottle of cera ve costs $20 and a 20-pill bottle of Tylenol was over$10. But I purchased a nice purse, big enough to hold my iPad, by a Mexican company that was $100 and I received a gift card back for a future purchase. So if you're purchasing Mexican products, it's great. But anything outside of that is quite expensive. I will say that they had a huge variety of products. It's two stories and some of the staff speak English. Otherwise, connect to WiFi and use Google Translate. It's been a lifesaver.

We swung by and ended up with a cart full of stuff that I swear would have cost us $600+ back home, but somehow only ran us $387 here. Was wild...and impressive! We were able to stock up on all the things from meats, eggs, tortillas, snacks, drinks, cups, etc...only thing we were a tad disappointed in was the liquor selection and the fact that they did not have any spray sun block. This place was busy, even for a Thursday morning. Locals and tourists alike, but they kept the lines moving! Costco is the spot. No major complaints. Great location for us, stellar store and trip!

Very common, there are over 800 different stores in Mexico alone and the number is always growing. The store was insanely crowded when we went but everyone was friendly and many people were smiling and saying hello to us. Or at least hola to us. The store is quite large and since this was the first time we were in the store or even in the city, we had a bit of difficulty navigating around but that actually made it fun. I don't even remember what we originally went in there for but it's the type that has so much stuff that you will find all kinds of things that you suddenly remember you need or at least want. Since we were traveling we had to use some common sense and limit our purchases to the absolute minimum. We thought it would be a nightmare trying to fight through the hordes of people and find what we want, but since everyone was so polite and nice it turned out to be an enjoyable experience. Easy to see why Sorianna is so popular, it probably has everything anyone could want at reasonable prices. Can't ask for more than that.

My mom and my grandma would always go to the one in Downtown L.A.; I always looked forward to those trips because we would have pizza there and I would almost always leave with a toy. Finding this store in the middle of Puerto Vallarta was surreal because I thought they ceased to exist in the 90s. This store looks just like it did back then, and I was glad to shop here once more.
