I got all 4 wisdom teeth removed here. The care and procedure went very well. I didn't even have…read morepain because of a numbing shot they give while under general anesthesia. I also didn't have to take any prescription pain meds after; just some ibuprofen and Tylenol. I appreciate Dr. Ferguson for focusing on that. Everyone in the office was professional and kind. My suggestions are: 1. Allow the patient a little more time to wake up from anesthesia. I felt like I was still completely asleep when they rolled me out of the office. They should prepare the pickup person for the state the patient will be in. My husband was shocked when he saw me after - I was very out of it and had tons of blood in my mouth. 2. Prepare more thoroughly for what to expect in the first 24 hours. I thoroughly hydrated for three days in advance, because I'm used to being in Mardi Gras parades. I wasn't able to drink except from a plastic spoon about 7 hours after the surgery. I wonder if others think to hydrate. If not, it's a bit rough that first day. I was also really hungry for a few days. Just prepare people in advance, because it's not like we can run out and get food or cook the day of.

This practice is predatory and will try to ruin your mouth and your credit. My husband was referred…read moredue to a dark spot on x-ray in his jaw. When he went for his appointment he was informed that insurance might not cover the testing. He offered to pay up front for services. He was not allowed to. Fast forward to several appointments later, he still doesn't have a definitive diagnosis, and insurance has finally denied payment for the appointment. Instead of sending any single bill, they allow months to go by until someone calls my husband and tells him he needs to set up a payment plan or be sent to collections. He drives to both locations to pay. Only to start receiving calls from their collections company 3 days later. The office claims they did not send his account to collections, but the collections notice we received today states otherwise. They refuse to admit what they did, or call us back when we've tried to ask questions. Unless you're 100% sure your insurance will cover all of what you're having done- don't risk it.

They gave me an appointment THIRTY MINUTES after I called and did an emergency extraction. These people are the most kind and patient and I could not have asked for a better surgeon.

AMAZING, WONDERFUL, MARVELOUS, FANTASTIC, AWESOME...none of these words come close to how great Dr…read more Ferguson is as an oral surgeon. I need you Yelpers to know that this praise is coming from the world's MOST dentophobia (dental fear) patient there ever was. Doctor Ferguson and his staff were so patient with my hyper anxiety. Dr. Ferguson was so upbeat and confident; his enthusiasm was very reassuring to someone with such a strong phobia as I had. On the day of the surgery, he was very reassuring and helpful in getting me settled down so they could go to work on pulling my abscessed molar. He did not rush me or become impatient with my crying and my apparent fear...he just smiled and spoke softly to me as I was falling apart before they were going to administer anesthesia. He allowed me the time I needed to move forward with the surgery. The assistants were terrific also. They were so gentle and patient with me as I was having an absolute meltdown before my surgery. Melissa, Dr. Ferguson's assistant, just was as sweet as anyone could be in dealing with an adult that was behaving like a certified little baby. She talked so kind to me as I shook and cried while she tried to explain how I would be fine and it was not going to be as bad as I thought. Unfortunately for all of them, I was inconsolable at the time, but I did go under the spell of the wonderful anesthesia and I awoke not even knowing it was over. I believe the other nurse that was in the room was Mary, but my mind was on other things at the time, so I can't say for sure. She also was so understanding and reassured me that I could take all the time I needed to adjust to the reality I was going to have to submit to a dental procedure I did not want to take part in. My recovery was quick and painless. I didn't even have to take any pain medication. At my two week checkup, both Melissa and Dr. Ferguson were so kind to me. They reassured me that I was not their worst patient ever. I had actually gone in to the appointment feeling very embarrassed by my previous behavior and was kind of dreading facing them again. They just made me feel so "normal" and that I had not been as big of a pain as I had feared. I just can't give them enough praise for the entire experience. If they had a "love" button on YELP, I would use it on this dental dynamo team. They really are BRILLIANT, OUTSTANDING, and FABULOUS!!!

Love Dr. Harris. He did a great job both visits. He also has a great sense of humor . My daughter was in the waiting room this morning and told me she could hear me laughing - at a tooth extraction - at an oral surgeon ....got to be pretty good to be cracking up under those circumstances . Highly recommend !

Additionally, I'm being treated for severe TMJ disorder and have have been insisting that something has been wrong with my wisdom tooth since November 2024. Prior to my visit, I asked if they could verify what needed to be done based on the images sent in with the referral and book a date for the extraction. A tentative date was set but I still had to go in and see the doctor and pay the $110. Today I went in and traded $110 and all of my medical history for a conversation on ethics. Despite the chronic TMJ pain, difficulty to repair the tooth (despite what he says), and constant food trappings, Dr. Harris likened my (and the referring orthodontist) desire for the tooth removal to a person wanting to amputate a leg because of a bruise. To arrive and have to pay $110 to get a lecture on "ethics" was a bit much. The ethical thing to do, in my opinion would be to look at the images sent weeks before by the orthodontist and get back to him and discuss it. But ethically, I'm the one dealing with the chipped wisdom tooth causing my idiomatic pain. Completely disgusted about this.
