On May 27, 2022 I received an email from your company advising me my pool was clean, however when I arrived home my pool was not clean. I immediately email the pictures to the company email showing the pool was not clean. I called Lisa on Monday May 30, 2022 and was told it's going to take at least two more cleaning to get this corrected. I was not happy but I excepted it and waited for my next pool cleaning which was around June 4th 2022, this time I was told by the technician his battery died, pool still not clean, no chemical left in the pool Again I called Lisa and was told they would send someone out. This time two technician came out and the equipment broke again, also they brought no chemicals because they told me I had to buy them from the company, which I was unaware of. My pool stay dirty until I went to Walmart and brought a vacuum to attach to my garden hose and started to clean myself. I also brought what I could find of tablets. I had to cancel two pools parties and don't know when I will be able to reschedule as I cannot seem to get my pool cleaned correctly. I spoke with Lisa last week and was assured a technician would come on Friday June 10, 2022 to clean my pool, I waited all day and no one showed up, called Lisa back again, she apologized and said she would send someone on Saturday June11, 2022. Don and another technician arrived to clean the pool. When I ask Don about the chemicals I was told he didn't bring them for my pool, because my pool was put in for a work order and not a cleaning. He assured me the pool would be straight when he left, but my pool is still dirty and I have not received any of the chemicals. On Sunday June 12, 2022 I paid for the opening and the chemicals which I am yet to receive. Please save yourself the frustration, and select another pool company. I am at my wits end and don't know where to turn to.

We currently have a pool company installing our pool this fall. The estimate we wanted was for between 100,000-125,000 we certainly could have paid more however, the reason we never received our estimate from Mike was because we were told that he didn't know the cost of concrete would be? We are also in the construction business and certainly understand these price hikes which have been common these last 16 months, however bottom line we never heard back. Very nice guy but stalled in our process for months ... we never received an estimate and had no choice but to start all over again! Thats really all i have to say on the matter.

Glad to have finally made this purchase back at the end of 2020 - the hot tub is so therapeutic and relaxing. I especially enjoy it on frigid nights during winter when the sky is clear and I can star gaze for as long as I want. :) Everyone at Capital Hot Tubs has always been wonderful. Purchase, delivery, and installation all went smoothly. Anytime we have needed assistance, they are quick to respond whether it is a question about a replacement part or water quality or even when an exterior panel needed to be repaired, the staff go above and beyond. We are fortunate to live close by as well. Our filters needed to be replaced last week so I just stopped by on a whim and Evelyn was very kind and helpful (Hi and thank you again, Evelyn! I enjoyed chatting with you about hot tubs, family, and pets, too!). :)

We…read moreoriginally decided to purchase our endless pool/spa from the Clarksburg Capital Hot Tub Store over 4 years ago after speaking with the manager and owner. They had very good customer service reviews and were very helpful in helping us purchase our pool during the COVID outbreak. They continued to provide good customer service for the next few years but recently the customer service has been terrible. This February I called and left a message about cracks in the end panels of my endless pool. We ended up playing phone tag so I stopped by the store. The representative said they would place the order and that it would take a couple of months to arrive. I had been calling, emailing and stopping by the store periodically from February to July asking about the panels. There was constant confusion, and staff kept citing high turnover as the reason for delays in receiving the panels and for problems locating them in the warehouse. In the beginning of July I emailed and called again. A few days later, I finally got a call saying they could set up an appointment because the panels were in. I didn't doubt that all the panels are in because I was told numerous times that they would not set up an appointment until all the panels were in. Imagine my surprise and anger when the technician came out this week to replace my endless pool/spa panels but only brought one panel with him. (For the most part the technicians have been great and they are the only reason I'm giving 2 stars). The technician, Jay checked the order and said he only saw one panel on order and one panel reserved and that they were the same panel. He didn't see any other panels ordered. Jay apologized and said he would try to order the remaining panels tonight or tomorrow morning. He also said he would talk to Jeff the manager about how mixed up my orders have been and have him contact me. Later that evening Jay texted me to tell me he ordered the additional panels because he didn't see the other panels on order or in their system. I'm confused as to why it was so hard for the service staff to order the proper number of panels but Jeff could do it that evening? If they were only going to replace one panel at a time we could have done this a long time ago. The next day, there was no call from Jeff the manager. So I called and left a message for Jeff. I also emailed the service staff I had been working with and left a message on the website. Still no message from anyone. I called and spoke to Lamar. He said Jay ordered the panels, apologized for the confusion and would have the district manager contact me. This was a few days ago and still no contact from any management. I left another message this afternoon asking for management to contact me. Still nothing. Why is it so hard to receive email responses when I send an email to individuals and the company website? I understand there has been turnover but this is ridiculous! You should not have to go to the store to get responses. I have left numerous messages via email, voicemail, and the website for numerous individuals this week and have yet to receive a response. We purchased from this store based on the reviews, but obviously, the service has seriously deteriorated. So if you are thinking you are going to get that great customer service indicated by old reviews think again!

They then told me i needed to drain all the water out in case we get another cold snap and that they really couldn't tell me when they could come out to install due them being very busy. Told me to drain the water and use a wet vac to get as much water out of the tub as i can- so i proceeded to do as directed, that night i got to thinking about it and just had a bad feeling, so in the am i immediately started looking for a 2nd opinion. That is when i found my life saver Tim- called him- he called me back the next day (friday) and i told him what had been told to me- he said that doesn't sound like a bad circuit board and said he could be out that following Monday- Tim came Monday and within 10 minutes found the problem- just sound bad wiring from the electrician, he fixed it! I am so thankful for Tim! He is very professional, and honest. If i could give Tim and Total Spa 10 STARS i absolutely would! He is your guy for Total Spa Repair! I had a yellow algae growth on the walls and floor of my pool. I paid $349.52 in chemicals, etc., in a total of four trips to the store. Not only did the algae not go away, it actually got worse. I am not sure anyone there knows what they are doing. To make matters worse, I scheduled an appointment with them at 4:00 PM on my next to last visit to the store. Not only did the guy not show up (even though I got an email that very morning confirming the time of the appointment), but I never even received a call saying that he was hung up, etc. And this was after I called them that very afternoon (around 5:00 pm) inquiring where their guy was. I was told that the office would check with him and get back to me. They too never called me back. If you care about your money and your time, this is not the place to go. I followed up with a visit to Sweetwater Pools in Catonsville presenting the same problem. The expertise and the help I received there was 180 degrees different. My pool is now starting to get back to normal again, and Connie was terrific. There has to be a reason why every time I go into Sunshine, there never seems to be any other customers present. I will be one more former customer. I have better things to do with my time and money. It is too bad because I really wanted to support a local family business. NOT THIS ONE ANYMORE! Jim F.

Knowing it was the beginning of pool season I figured the equipment would be there for awhile. After 2 weeks and hearing from the store i reached out and explained my dissatisfaction with their lack of communication at which time they apologized for the delay and stated they usually communicate by e-mail and will keep me up to date. I checked my email, including spam to make sure I hadn't over looked theirs but nothing. On June 3rd I received an email from the store stating that they have received my request for an in store repair at their Westminster location. I again contacted the store on June 9th and spoke with the manager. Again very apologetic and explained that they had issues with the diagnostic equipment but it was the next one to be serviced. On Tuesday 6/17 an employee from the store contacted me by phone and stated the machine should be ready the next day and I would receive a call. I got an email from the store on 6/22 stating the equipment was ready to be picked up. I went down on Sunday and decided to take a water sample due to amount of rain we received the prior week. The store was crazy busy and after waiting about 45 mins was advised I needed $221 worth of Leslies chemicals to get my water corrected. Needless to say I didn't purchase the products and left with my Polaris. The gentleman apologized for the amount of time it took for the repair and assured me they tested it. I stopped by another pool store on the way home and had the remainder of my water tested and purchased $39 worth of chemicals to bring correct my issues. The cherry on the pie is today is the first time I had a chance to put the Polaris in the pool and it is not working giving me the same error code 10 that was there when this journey began. This company is operating as a Jacuzzi reseller (independent Sales Organization - ISO)…read more After complaining to Van Dorn, I have since found that Van Dorn is the only registered provider of Jacuzzi spas in the state of Maryland. I know this because I contacted Jacuzzi directly and they gave me a secondary provider in Hagerstown, MD that is subsequently cut-off by Jacuzzi since Covid, 2019. This means that Van Dorn is the only seller and provider of maintenance in the State of Maryland. Hence, Van Dorn knows they are the only registered provider of Jacuzzi Sales and Maintenance. They use this advantage by charging exorbitant fees for new and existing Maryland Consumers that purchase a Jacuzzi spa. With that said, it is obvious that this company is acting like a 'Monopoly' for the Jacuzzi spas purchased by consumer in the state of Maryland. In other words, we the consumers are FORCED to work with Van Dorn for our proper Jacuzzi maintenance. Van Dorn, (knowing that have a monopoly), in turn charges exorbitant prices to conduct basic maintenance that is as little as 30 mins for $205.00. This works out to $410.00/hr. I just experienced this (super charge) of $205.00 for a tech to 'open up the COVER OF THE spa," tighten some pipe unions and then LEAVE within 30 minutes, and this was after I waited 30 days for him to come out to me in the first place. How is that verifying that my Jacuzzi tub is working properly and not leaking (which was the main part of our service call in the first place)? With this complaint, I already know, that Van Dorn will use the excuse that the Spa was not filled with water so they cannot test things, but that is bogus since for the last 5 years they have been using an 'external pump' that quickly extracts water from a nearby pool and is used to fill the spa (fast - usually in 20 mints or less). It comes down to whether THEIR TIMETABLE for the day will use the 'external-pump approach' to ACTUALLY fix the problem, OR use 'the excuse' that the Spa is not filled to justify their 20-30 mints "service." They love to use this 'external pump approach' to benefit (or not) their schedule to handle all Jacuzzi needs across the State of Maryland. excuse where the spas are filled (or not). This is their "bufffer" that they use for charging $205.00 for the visit. It is a shameful approach to business, and one that is manipulating Maryland Code. With tha said, over the years I have seen how they like to manipulate the use of their 'external pump' as an excuse that the spa cannot be tested (since it is not filled - when they come out) to determine whether the spa works or has leaks. I have seen thier use of this excuse for many years now. All the time, they could be using ther external pumps to fill the spa, run the spa and determine operation and/or leaks. As an educated citizen of Maryland, I need/want/alert the state of this egregious use of monopoly that is happening in the State of Maryland, of which I was born. I am tired of small dealers extorting the Citizens of Maryland and I ask that you crack down on this 'Monopoly' that Van Dorn has on Maryland citizens. In closing, If I cannot get recon stance from your department, I will be taking this to the Maryland Supreme Court. Thank you, Stephen J.
