He picked up but you can tell he was moving from job site to job site. He squeezed in a visit to our home that same day in the early afternoon. The pipe ran along a very poorly insulated and tight crawl space. In about an hour, the pipe was repaired. He released the air and pressure from the entire system. He examined the basement and the system. He tested and ensured all worked properly. David was kind, knowledgeable, and professional. After quickly assessing the damage, he presented me with two options: rebuild and reseal the current trap or outright replace it. The first two jobs were relatively small and painless. For the installation my wife and I set up three different occasions for them to complete the work. Each time was canceled by Fitzpatrick for one reason or another, the last being because the son wanted to spend time with his girlfriend instead of fulfill the job. On the day they did show they were supposed to be at the job by 9am. 2pm they finally arrived, informed me it would take 5+ hours to complete and when informed he couldn't use a certain door he then informed me it would take an additional 2 hours. I also let him know I had 5 indoor animals and I needed assurance that they wouldn't escape if I allowed him to use the door he wanted. He told me it wasn't his job to make sure pets didn't escape. After telling him he couldn't use the door he decided he didn't want to complete the job and told me to get another plumber. I was then charged $250.00 for them walking off a job. No dependability, customer service or tact. Do yourself a favor and choose a plumber that doesn't get so emotional when speaking with the homeowner.

On August 15, 2026, I called Heritage Home Service to fix a leaky shower valve cartridge. Heritage…read morecame out to troubleshoot the problem, and the plumber tried to show me that it was not the shower valve cartridge. They told me that the basement leak was due to lack of caulking around the shower stall door trim and the show door bottom seal. Subsequently, the plumber caulked the door trim and joint between the shower pan and the floor. The shower was used later in the evening and the basement leak returned. It turned out that the shower valve cartridge was leaking only when the valve was open, not when it was closed. I rushed to Home Depot that evening before it closed to buy a Moen #1222 replacement cartridge at my own expense, and I replaced it myself that same evening. The next work day, I called Heritage to tell them that their work did not remedy the leak, and I texted them the sales receipt for the valve cartridge. I requested my money back for only the cartridge, or a replacement cartridge. It is now September 2, and after 3 phone calls, I haven't received a callback from the Heritage customer service representative. During the service call, I purchased the Home Advantage contract which speaks about 100% customer satisfaction. We are very senior citizens, and our treatment by Heritage has been shabby at best. I stop short of stating that Heritage business practices are predatory while awaiting any communication between Heritage and our household. I am sorry, but I cannot recommend Heritage Home services, or the Heritage Advantage contract.
