I am utterly disgusted and disappointed with the behavior I witnessed by who I later discovered to be the owner (gretchen camera). I was intending to walk in to make an appointment but I was stopped in my tracks when I saw the owner berating and screaming at a poor girl (who I'm unsure if she was a worker or a client) but regardless I was appalled. I am always in support of small businesses but ABSOLUTELY NOT if they are ran but such horrid and volatile people. If I could give Zero stars to this place I would because this woman's company does not deserve the support from our community. read more

I went to simply have my gel polish removed and it was probably the most uncomfortable time with a nail tech I have ever had. The girl was clearly not down to have human contact at all. We were sitting alone in a large, quiet room and it was super awkward. When she did speak she was very bitter and short, just annoyed that she had to be there. Not really someone I want to be touching me and sharing energy with. 3 stars because I'm almost certain this is not this girls fault, I know she had a small window of time and had a lot of expectations on her from the shop itself. Treat your workers well and they will reflect this. Treat em like trash and that's what we will experience as well. read more

Very disappointed with my experience here. My stylist barely said five words to me, was incredibly messy when applying hair color, and actually applied the wrong color and had to rush me to the shampoo bowl to wash it out. While in the chair it kept going up and down on its on because the remote was caught up under the chair. When I said something she ignored me and kept washing my hair! Long story short she over charged didn't style my hair, and I walked out of the salon with hair dye all over my face, neck, ears and worst of all my clothes! When I called to remote the damage to my clothes I was given the run around and finally after several days, text messages and phone calls I was at least refunded for the cost of my visit. I am still out the cost of the damage to my clothing. read more

My daughter had her hair done in which was balayage which is not cheap like 150 not cheap she went and asked for gray tones and when I seen her I said I thought you where getting your hair done she's like I did not only did she not even go to her roots there was no color of gray that you could tell and looked exactly the same and so she called to question it because of course upset with it and they told her to come back to fix it so she called and asked if they would charge her and they told her yes for the product are you kidding me !! If this is how they fix there mistakes it's not right so think twice before you throw away your hard earned money!!! read more

3.5 stars. This seems to be the place where most people in BG get their hair done and Kelly is pretty popular. I went in to see Kelly and thought she was very sweet and friendly. I wasn't thrilled with the way my color turned out, but she offered to fix it for free. I thought that was a sign of a quality salon. Mistakes happen, but it's how you handle them. Later, I came in for a brow wax. The good news: It was cheap. The bad news: my brows didn't look much different afterward. If I were to continue to get my hair done in BG, I would go back to see Kelly. I wish they would start doing waxing in the spa area, though and hire some dedicated estheticians. Since I've moved around a lot over the years, I'm constantly searching for a good salon. I've been to a lot of salons in BG and a few months ago found The Gallery online and decided to give it a try. The upside is that I called and was able to get a same-day appointment - awesome! The salon is well-maintained and the receptionist was very pleasant and friendly. I had Desiree for a haircut and color. She was very bubbly and seemed like a nice person. However, I had asked for my hair to be colored 'golden blonde', and it turned out kind of reddish. Now, fortunately I'm a flexible person when it comes to my hair and up for trying new things, and I happened to think that the red looked kind of cool. But it definitely was not what I asked for - and I think it was because she didn't choose the right color for my hair and didn't realize that the dye would take like it did. Also, I asked for a trim, with some long layers, but she didn't cut the layers properly. She was so nice that I didn't have the heart to tell her that my hair didn't turn out the way that I wanted. Besides, I was kind of afraid, at least where the color was concerned, to have her try to fix it. So, overall, the technical competency of the salon (or at least my particular stylist), was not up to par. However, at least it was very reasonably priced (I think it was around 80 or so for a color, cut and brow wax). But I think I probably won't go back.... EDIT: Changed my review from 2 to 5 star. I did end up going back when I was in a pinch and desperately needed a cut & color (they were the only place that could fit me in on short notice). I had a different stylist - Kelly - and she was FANTASTIC! Friendly, sweet, and competent - she did my hair exactly how I wanted! :) I'm so glad I went back...my initial negative experience was totally overridden by this one! read more

I got my nails done by Abby in 2016. To this day, that was the best experience that I have had in a nail salon. Incredibly professional and cared about how the nails were done. I was able to get a shellac mani and loved it. The shellac stayed better than any gel manicure that I have received. read more

I had chosen a nail color that I decided I didn't like. I removed the (blue) polish, and stopped by the salon today hoping to have my nails repainted in a pink which I know I'd like. I had my hair cut at Gallery a few months ago. At first, I thought the cut was perfect; all I asked for was long layers and to have it thinned out, and it felt and looked like the stylist did this well. I was unable to see what the stylist did to my hair until a couple of days later when I straightened it myself (which is how I usually style it). Instead of using thinning shears on my hair, the stylist cut chunks of my hair off to about two inches from my scalp to "thin" it. I was very disappointed by this, as now I have these awkward 3-4 inch long sections of hair underneath the top layers of my hair. I was very disappointed in this method of thinning out my hair. Other than this, everything was delightful. My suggestion: If you want your hair thinned, specify that you want this done with thinning shears. read more

Recently went there and got their platinum package. The massage with Audrey was AMAZING and easily the best service of the 4 I got (grant it I may be biased because I'm a massage-holic). The facial was also fantastic, very relaxing and my skin looked fab! Loved my pedicure and loved the girl who did it. She was a perfectionist and when she started to add the white to my French she thought it could be better and totally re-did it. I really appreciated her attention to detail! The Mani was ok, def had better but it wasn't terrible (nails ended up filed a little unevenly and the white on my French was a little uneven) Overall a fantastic day at the spa and I would def recommend this place! read more

I've been here a few times, once for a pedicure and twice to have my son's haircut. Each time I had to wait well beyond my appointment time - over 20 minutes - for someone to call me or my son back. When I came for a pedicure I had to wait 10 minutes just for a receptionist to appear. I will say they did a nice job cutting my son's super thick hair. My pedicure was terrible though, I could have done what the technician did at home, definitely not worth the money. There's probably a better place in bg to get salon and spa services, I definitely won't be back, this place is just unprofessional with no respect for my time, in my opinion. read more

My husband and I both desperately needed cuts before a friend's wedding. I just asked for a trim of my long layers and let me tell you - the layers look like someone took a pair of garden shears to them! They are so uneven and chunky! My husband also had Mackenzie and all he needed was a 1 on the sides and cut short on top. He now has a lovely line around his whole head where the fading was not done properly. This was my second time there with the same results. Terrible! read more

Just got back from having a TMJ massage with Audrey-- simply put, she was absolutely amazing. I've had life-long TMJ and I truly feel like Audrey's skillful massage made a major difference in my health: I'm able to move my jaw and neck with far more ease. I do not live in the area (I was home visiting family for the holiday) but I cannot wait to come back to BG to work with Audrey again. Customer service and decor is five stars!! I give only two stars because of how pricey I feel the services are compared to what I got. Classic pedi was short and underwhelming. Shellac mani was not good. Ripples and uneven polish on every nail, will have to get them redone after the weekend. I've been going to Gallery for about a year now and I'm converted. I'm done with crappy salons. The girls here are wonderful: sweet, personable, talented. I have had color done there twice now, both times by Mariah, and she is an absolute artist. She knows exactly what I want, even when I don't even know. She works magic and isn't afraid to try fun, funky things if you want to go that route. It's the best stylist-client relationship I've had yet and I adore Mariah and all of the beautiful ladies that work here! read more

I got a gel mani and regular pedi and it was the worst gel manicure I have ever got. It was also the worst pedicure. My boyfriend even commented on how bad both were. I was extremely disappointed and it was NOT worth any of the money I had paid for it. My nails and toes were so blotchy looking and it didn't even cover my whole nail. It took me 2 1/2 hours to get both done and it was just me in there. They weren't even busy. She didn't shape my nails, didn't use a cuticle cutter, didn't do anything at all and I paid a lot for both. I will NEVER be going back. I have gone to the gallery twice during my time as a student as BGSU. The first time was for a trim and lip/brow waxing. The same woman did both for me and she was wonderful and very friendly. However, the second time I went in for a waxing I was met with a different employee. This woman burned both my eyebrows and upper lip with wax. It was absolutely horrible and I will never return there. read more

This place is ok for what I was expecting in BG. The people are nice and the place itself is nice enough. The parking is out back in the metered spot by the library so that kinda sours the deal off the bat if you don't carry change like myself. The haircuts I have gotten from this place are kinda bipolar as far as quality. A few good ones and two really bad ones. I just wait till I go home and get my hair cut by my a friend for free now . It's a little less convenient but she's the sh*t and does what I ask. read more
