Went again. The pizza remains absolutely unrivaled by any other joint in MT. It is DAMN GOOD. And it's so easy to get it. You walk in and order your slices, pay cash, and eat 3 minutes later. It's always a little busy because it's the perfect pizza. If you're on a road trip along I-90, it's worth the slight detour to get it. read more

Unfortunately I don't live in Anaconda so it took me a few days to retrieve it. They made sure to keep it safe and even met me on their day off so I could pick it up. Gallicano's serves some of the absolute best pizza I've ever had- and like a lot of other folks who've reviewed this place, I've tried 'za from all corners of the country. None compare to how good Gallicano's is. Fresh hot pies that are absolutely massive, delectable garlic knots, and savory pasta and sandwiches, I'm here more often than I'd like to admit. Cash only! It's small and intimate, very cozy and with friendly staff. I think the issue a lot of people have is that sometimes the wait for a whole pie is, what would be considered by most, a long wait. As far as I know, this is the only pizza parlor in town for a community of about 9000. I've waited anywhere from between 15 mins ~ 2 hrs, and it's been worth it every time. Cut 'em some slack and enjoy historic downtown Anaconda, hit up that cute gift store, or walk to the Stack. I love this place. read more

Never have I ever seen a pizzeria run like this place!! They won't make whole pizzas before 3pm which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. They close at 8pm and aren't open on Sundays and Monday. We were traveling home to Bigfork after spending Thanksgiving with friends in Phillipsburg.. it was a Friday afternoon and although Gallicano's was open they didn't seem happy to see us. The curt words from the lady behind the counter was "No orders, only what we have in slices". We can't place an order and take it to go? "No". That was too bad because the menu looked amazing. Okay, we ordered a few slices and they warmed them up. They were okay, nothing to write home about. The dining area was small and crowded with tables and a few other people. We're used to that. It's fine. Just want to give the feel, it's not a restaurant, it's a pizza shop. But as we sat and ate our slices no fewer than 4 different people came in to pick-up pizzas to go, and it sounded like new orders were placed too. Maybe we looked like jack holes or something but it wasn't the experience we were expecting based on our friend's raves. Sad, we'd looked forward to eating at Gallicano's for so long, anticipating the next time we would be in Anaconda around a meal time. This landmark pizzeria has been delighting my palette for the last few years of visiting Montana. This definitely the best pizzeria in Southwest Montana and most certainly worth the drive if you are within 100 miles (heck even more possibly). Having lived in three of top pizza cities I can say that this place can compete with the best of the famous ones. This pizzeria certainly to be have roots in the best traditions of pizza making. The flavor and texture of the pizza seems to balance between the unique and traditional leaving you wanting more, even on a full stomach.
