There were 7 different sliders to try, which seemed like a smarter option than eating a whole burger, but I only chose to try 2. The Roadhouse slider had bacon, onion straws, melted cheese and bbq sauce and was extremely good. The other one was a Cow Guy Burger, which was topped with bacon jam, melted cheese, parmesan slaw, onion straws and bbq sauce. Although they had somewhat similar ingredients they tasted very different. The Cow Guy Burger was messier to eat, but equally as good. At the time we left the festival, this truck was in first place as the crowd favorite. I hope they won, as they were extremely good. Staff was pleasant and patient, prices were reasonable and everything was run efficiently. Hope to see them at another festival.

I played on my phone for a while and was delighted when my name was called. The meat was perfectly seasoned and there was no skimping on the portions. The liberal amount of sauce on top added to the tastiness (and most definitely the messiness) of this dish. I'm hoping this food truck comes back soon. Speaking of football, the family that owns and runs the restaurant has produced a few D-I basketball and football players, including a current player who's projected to be a high-round NFL draft pick in the next draft. The last time I was here was a Friday, a little before noon. It hadn't gotten too busy yet so wasn't much of a wait in line. Ordered my favorite meal there, which is the 2-meat (ribs and pulled pork) combo ($17). The combo comes with two sides - I usually get the flavored rice (Rice 'a la Trigg) and the mac and cheese. The meal also includes a slice of bread. Lemonade is $3 extra, bottled water $2. As always, the ribs and pulled pork were excellent. I especially love the yellow sauce (I think a mustard sauce) they use to flavor their meats and rice side dish, which is a unique staple of this restaurant. The mac and cheese is always very tasty as well. Their food is also always well-portioned - I always leave very full! Altogether my meal came out to around $21, which was a very fair price for two meats, two sides, and a lemonade. Konan's does give a small discount if you pay with cash rather than credit. It seems most customers come here for take-out, though there's plenty of seating both inside and outside the restaurant. The staff is always very friendly, though I'm not too big on the fact that they're big Tampa Bay Buccaneer fans (LOL). If you've never been would definitely check it out!
