Lucky Tigre was a local recommendation and I'm so glad we listened. It was walking distance from CoHatch where I was working for the day. It was so busy when we arrived which is a good sign! We waited in line for about 30 minutes but it was worth the wait. A regular recognized we were newbies and recommended the pulled chicken adobo and all their drinks so that's what we ordered. We ordered the beef lumpia to start too! The pulled chicken adobo was served with coconut rice, cucumbers, and onions. This was so delicious. The pulled chicken adobo literally fell off my fork. The beef lumpia was so good. We started with 6 pieces. Good started to share! Nice and crispy! Love that it was beef and not pork. My drink was the iced ube salted caramel latte. So delicious and beautiful! Flavors on point! This place is super casual, but comfortable. Limited seating on the inside. There are picnic tables to share on the outside too.

Amazing experience, very welcoming staff and atmosphere. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS. Cannot go wrong, everything on the menu is a win!!

Pretty good Filipino food in Tampa. There are not a lot of Filipino restaurant choices in Tampa and this one didn't disappoint. The menu is pretty simple from starters, baos, and rice plate dishes. They have a good selection of drinks- matcha, Filipino inspired beverage, and expresso drinks. We decided to get three rice plates- longanisalog, Lechon kawali, and mochi fried chicken. The plates came with atchara- pickled vegetables usually papaya, cucumber salad, and garlic fried rice. All were good accompaniment. The Lechon kawali was good- crispy skin and good with accompanying dips- I prefer mang Tomas lechon sauce or vinegar. The mochi fried chicken is flavorful and delicious. Longanisa is a Filipino sausage- it was good. The calamansi juice is really good. Expresso drinks doesn't have a strong flavor. Make sure to make room for dessert- we had the halo halo and we shared it. It was good with the ube ice cream - it needs leche flan to elevate it a little more but it would do. Place has indoor and outdoor seatings. Service is attentive. Ample of street parking. Definitely would come back.

So good. Ample amount of parking in the lot and free street parking. Good customer service. Great drinks, food, and locally baked desserts. I've visited the previous location in SOHO numerous of times and this is my first time at the new location is old west tampa. All the vibes are still there but you are now able to sit inside, bar seating, or patio seating for a nice day (with outside outlets). Julie one of the owners was very sweet and enthusiastic when i walked and when others walked in. I ordered the Smores Ube cookie, Ube donut (both from ngoc bakery) and the salted caramel ube latte. The latte was very delicious, my only thing I would wish differently and that I ordered jsut one more shot for more of a coffee taste. The latte was perfectly balanced, tasted all the flavors: salt, ube, caramel, coffee and it wasn't too sweet at all, which i love! I've tried (from the other location) dumplings, bowls, lumpia, and I truly appreciate the vegan/plant based options, especially plant based pork which i find rare at a lot of restaurants. 10/10 would visit again!

Came in after seeing them post about their coffee and pastries on Instagram. They had free parking on the street so I walked over and inside is so cute. I ordered a salted Ube caramel latte and a tiger spiced banana muffin. It didn't take long for it to be ready and the lady behind the counter was so incredibly sweet. My drink was delicious I watched her put Ube at the bottom and mixed with the espresso and it was so Yumm!! Also, I really enjoyed the tiger spice banana muffin, beautiful spices swirled inside the banana muffin it was very good. Definitely will be back to try their full menu!

Chill staff and vibes, great food. Lots of free street parking outside. Pretty quick service and the Filipino food is awesome. Lumpia (not pictured) is a definite must and great small app. We also got pancit topped with lechon and that was juicy fatty and crunchy all in one glorious bite. Tocino "spam"silog with a fried egg was also so flavorful and comes with tasty garlic rice.

So Lucky Tigre started as a food truck and now they have an actual restaurant. That's how you know you're doing something right. It's owned by this husband and wife team - a proper dynamic duo - and when you're inside, it feels like you're just hanging out in their kitchen. Which I guess technically you kind of are? But in the best way possible. Very intimate. You can see the love and care they put into everything. I had the lemongrass chicken skewers, pork dumplings, and shrimp lumpia. All of it was just...muah. You can taste that these are people who've been perfecting their recipes for years. This isn't just food - it's their story on a plate. And here's the thing - they have shirts that say "Feeling Lucky" and I bought one. Because yes, yes I am feeling lucky. And also because when a mom and pop spot has merch, you have to support that. It's basically the law. So yeah, West Tampa. Great food, beautiful people doing their thing. You should absolutely check it out.

Came for a weekday lunch and opted for the lemongrass BBQ chicken skewer rice plate. I really enjoyed it. The chicken skewers were lean, and the BBQ glaze was incredibly appetizing. I loved the crispy, well-browned exterior and the layered sweetness from the marinade. The jasmine rice was wonderfully aromatic, with the garlic flavor coming through clearly. The rice was fluffy and full of flavor on its own. The atcharaa tasted authentic and would work well as a palate cleanser, though I'll admit I'm personally not a big fan of ginger, so it leaned a bit too gingery for me. The cucumber salad, however, was extremely refreshing and balanced out the richness of the rice and the hearty sweetness of the chicken beautifully. The plate doesn't look large at first glance, but it was very satisfying. The flavors and portion were just right. I left feeling full, yet still wishing for maybe one more bite. Big shoutout to the interior decor as well. I would say even without tasting the food, the authentic decoration is a good cue for me to know I can expect a great meal. The walls are decorated with commercial artwork that may look just retro at first, but is actually very authentic and historically meaningful. As a Taiwanese kid, seeing traditional Tiger Balm advertisements and postwar posters from a time when U.S. and Western aid played a major role in East Asia genuinely made my heart sing. I never lived through that era, but I remember those images from history textbooks. Seeing them here, along with the floral tablecloths, really brought a smile to my face.

Our first time at Lucky Tigre and it exceeded expectations. Steeping inside, most would notice the vintage decor and retro vending machines. However, the friendly greeting and personable customer service was what caught my attention. The lemongrass chicken skewer and the mochi fried chicken were excellent. Great food and friendly service. I highly recommend!

Lucky Tigre has been on my "to try" list for so long and they blew me away!! Staff was so friendly. Cute/charming decor. The food was phenomenal. A bit of a wait but I can tell they prepare everything fresh (and they were a bit busy). The dumplings were cooked to perfection. Lemongrass bbq chicken reminded me of my mom's cooking so extra points for that. The star was the lechon kawali pork belly. So crispy!! We also got coffee and loved that they use Spaddy's. Julie and her team really have an amazing place here. My new favorite restaurant in Tampa. Definitely will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Halo halo and Ube s'mores cookie

Super yummy food, I loved the simple dishes with rice, with great flavors. And the deserts were amazing! Staff was friendly. Small place but cute.

Oh my goodness! I've missed Filipino food so much! I'm in Tampa for a friend's bday celebration and I wanted something to munch on. I really lucked up with this spot being only about 9 mins from my hotel. I pulled up and wasn't expecting it to be a food truck, which was cool. I just ended up getting the food to go. The gal taking orders was really nice and offered to bring the food to my car. So kind! I told her I didn't mind walking back over though. I ordered the pandan mylk tea and my gosh! This was so so good. I finished it before I even got back to my hotel lol. For food I had the beef lumpia and pancit! AMAZING AND SO DELICIOUS!!! I'm lowkey mad I at it all already. I really enjoyed all the food and the drink. Highly recommend and I'd definitely go back!

I finally made it to Lucky Tigre! I was fortunate to arrive when they opened to beat the steady stream of customers in this cozy, upbeat spot. There are more items on the menu than their website. Since it was my first time, I wanted to order a few items. The hot Salted Ube Caramel Latte with coconut milk was subtle. The chili-carrot beef dumplings were exceptionally good nestled in a balanced sauce of heat and sweet. The pancit with egg had a lot of veggies mixed in, but needed more seasoning. I sat outside and the condiments (napkins, straws, water, etc.) are inside. So, I know to pour some sauces ahead when I get napkins. The food portions were ample. The coffee was pricey. Overall, I enjoyed this unique gem in West Tampa that is open on Sunday!

First off, the crunch is so loud it could qualify as a sound effect in an action movie. I took one bite and half expected someone to yell "CUT!" The chicken itself is juicy, but let's be honest it's really just a vehicle for that bang bang sauce, which tastes like sweet, spicy, and "text your ex you've changed" all rolled into one. I told myself I'd share. That was a lie. A bold faced, shameless lie. The plate hit the table and suddenly I turned into a territorial raccoon guarding its last meal. By the end, my fingers were sticky, my dignity was gone, and I was seriously considering ordering a second round like I hadn't just embarrassed myself in public.

This is a new dish, if you can even call it one. Literally two slices of tuna, no side of sauce which it's supposed to have, a bunch of old cabbage for filling (even though the new container is half the size as it is), and what could be nothing else but soggy potato chips (yes, literally they put in chips, I don't even know how else to put it except it literally had chips in it). Pathetic. Completely pathetic.
