A friend of mine and I were taking our girls to the trampoline park, which opened up 30 minutes later than the website stated, so I looked up taco truck in the area and this one had the best reviews, and was the closest. The girls split a delicious order of rice and my friend and I split a steak quesadilla. Both were scrumptious! We'll be back if and when we're in the area again. We ordered 3 carne asada tacos and a pastor burrito at 11pm on a Sunday night, there were about 3 people who had ordered in front of us. After ordering they told us it would be a 30 minute wait (maybe they could have warned us before we ordered). Turns out our food took an hour. If you are wondering why, after sitting there a while I realized that they were taking door dash orders, and not only were they overwhelmed, those were clearly the priority. I don't think it's smart for any place to have so many orders and 1 guy making the food, so thats the first problem. When we got our food it was easy to notice they gave us a pastor taco instead of the pastor burrito we were charged for. So that's $22 for 4 tacos and 2 cans of soda. The lady then argued and said "No, you ordered a taco". Clearly I didn't, and the price would reflect that! Listen. After a 12-hour shift saving lives, the last thing we expected was to end our night smelling vomit, getting side-eyed by staff, and almost fighting a naked man. We rolled up hungry and tired, and immediately got slapped in the face by a stench so foul it felt personal. At first, we thought maybe something had died. Turns out it was vomit. That they had just hosed down. Right next to the food truck. You'll want to hold onto that detail. Trying to ignore the smell, we attempted to order, but the woman at the window treated us like we'd asked her to donate a kidney. Rude stares, short answers - the whole vibe was "I hate being here, and I hate you more." Then comes the kicker: they were out of everything we wanted. Ended up spending $83 on birria tacos (grease puddles), queso birria (cheese in an existential crisis), rice and beans (fine if you're into bland mush), a tres leches that tasted like it was made by someone who's never loved or been loved, and two waters that we paid for but never received. The one saving grace? A decent chicken huarache. Congrats. One star for you. While waiting in the car, a clearly drunk man - pants down, cheeks out - leaned on my car, apparently mid-puke. When we told him to move, he started tapping on the window and harassing us. We had to drive away, only for him to punch the damn car window like it owed him money. I got out and told him off - loudly. Like loudly loudly. Anyone within 100 feet definitely heard me. Did the food truck staff check on us? Help? Blink twice? No. They didn't move. A customer had to intervene to get the guy away from us! Eventually, we went back to get the food and showed them the video of this man harassing us, and asked if they knew him - because surprise! He was hanging around the food truck again. The, what seemed to be the manager, just stared at the video, didn't say a word, then walked off to say a few things to the guy. No apology. No "Are you okay?" Nothing. You could feel that they knew him. Like it was Taco Tuesdays and Harassment Thursdays or something. The cherry on this greasy, undercooked sundae? Realizing that vomit smell we arrived to was from the drunk dude who was harassing us. And they just kept serving food like it was business as usual. Never again. Not worth it. Not safe. Not clean. Not even good. If you want a meal and a public safety incident rolled into one, by all means - head to Tacos El Flaco. Otherwise, run. read more

I pass by this food truck every single day on my way home from work, so finally I decided to give it a go. It is set up in the parking lot of a few stores, so there is plenty of parking. It seemed to be a one-man show, but the guy was efficient. The menu was posted on the side of the truck, and I thought it was odd that it seemed to be mainly a breakfast joint; there was a variety of breakfast platters, pancakes, french toast, and omelet offerings. I was disappointed they didn't have any side options to purchase like chips/salsa or rice/beans. But I was in the mood for tacos and not to be dissuaded. I ordered a variety: chicken, pork, steak, and chorizo. They were ready in about 10 minutes, and I was on my way. The tacos were okay, and maybe if I hadn't been having awesome tacos in Seminole Heights I would have enjoyed them more, but they all seemed very bland except for the chorizo one, even with the sprinkle of cilantro and onion on top. I'm honestly so impressed by this place. I was so hungry at 3am and came here. I ordered birria tacos, and the worker who took my order was so very nice. Then a bunch of people came to order right after me so clearly lots of people are going to this place. It wasn't exactly cheap, but like I'm just happy to get this quality of food in literally the middle of the night. They prepared my food and what I got was a huge plate, 3 tacos, 2 sauces, 1 bowl of the birria soup (?) for dipping, grilled onions, limes, and a grilled jalapeño.... AT 3 IN THE MORNING. And piping hot. I was so impressed already, and then the tastes/flavors/quality were just amazing. I have to say I'm impressed.
