I love this place. I've been going to this store ever since I was a kid, and my family would rent a house for the week down in Wildwood. This store has everything you need sports equipment, sports apparel, water sports, lifestyle, etc. It's not just a surf shop. Whenever i'm in town I always make it a point to stop by Kona. Now they have their own t-shirts, hats, rash guards, with their new logo and classic sun face logo I which remember as a kid. This place has a huge nostalgia factor for me as my dad would go here all the time when we would stay down in Wildwood. Store was recently renovated and looks awesome. I purchased two paddle boards from Kona today. I was assisted by one of the store Associates and Chris(owner). They were both very helpful and very knowledgeable. Chris makes all of the Associates use the equipment so they know what they are talking about when helping customers. Chris actually designs the boards and is a avid surfer and paddle boarder. Chris was very patient and answered all of my questions and showed me how all of the equipment worked. I have purchased lots of clothes and Beach stuff at Kona over the years, but this is by far the largest purchase. I highly recommend this shop if you are interested in surfing, paddle boarding, skateboarding, or any beach/surf related activities. One other thing......they deliver! read more

This summer was my first trip to the Kona store in Wildwood. I was pleased with the enormous selection of Men's, Women's, and Children's clothing. This is quality surf shop gear, not the crappy iron on stuff from the boardwalk (...you get what you pay for). I really love the "Jersey Pride" design but, they were sold out in the store in my size. I got home and bought the Jersey Pride shirts online when I returned home from vacation! So stoked! I love supporting local businesses and this surf shop (if I remember correctly), started out of the owners garage in Wildwood Crest. My family lives in WW year round and I go back every year for vacation. Kona Surf Shop will always be a stop I will make before heading home from now on! read more

My family and I recently checked out the new Kona Outlet and we LOVED the selection. We have always been a big fan of Kona, and make it a point to stop every year. We found the Outlet very organized, and the staff were very friendly and helpful! They have a great selection of beach chairs and flip flops. I'm a big "reef" fan, so I was def stoked to find they had a big selection and at a awesome price! I bought my son a new body board and the"surfer" staff memeber was nice and put the leash on it for him. My wife also found a really nice Patagonia fleece at a great price! The Outlet will be added to our tradition of stopping at Kona on vaca! WAY TO GO KONA! THE OUTLET WAS AN AWESOME IDEA! Thanks again guys! read more

Great place to grab quality clothing and gear for for nearly anything, and on top of that its all reasonably priced. The clearance rack is the best it's never really picked over and it's all nearly half off, so most of the top brand jackets, shirts, shorts or board shorts that will usually run you some outrageous price are cheap. They also just upped their own clothing game, apart from their usual business style tees, they now have top notch boardies, long sleeves, tanks and hoodies that look, feel and fit top quality and not your generic over-priced cheesy hoodie most local shops sell. ~ Overall definitely my favorite spot to upgrade my wardrobe and not empty wallet! read more

I'm really big into surfing and visit surf shops often...This place is definitely one of the best shops in New Jersey, super cool people working there. HUGE selection of everything from boards to shoes to sunglasses and even wax. I recently went over there to get some stuff for back to school and they hooked me up for a lot less than you might online or at other shops in Wildwood. As well as the name brand items, the Kona brand itself that they have at the shop has nice stuff for both guys and girls. Everything in the store is high quality and well known in the surfing world. My absolute favorite store in wildwood! I have been Shopping here for years and even take day trips down to go shop or browse. Just bought my kids a new beginner surfboard from here and will be back soon to purchase another step up! Staff was very accommodating, always friendly and helpful. Love all the unique kona brand clothes, they also have name brands but I prefer their own brand for you can get the other brands other places. The soy candles are my favorite and last a very long time. Everything is priced very reasonably and definitely worth a stop in! Can't wait to come back. read more

Great local surf shop and one of the best parts of the Wildwood beaches. My wife and I have stopped by the bike shop several times and the guys have fixed us up quick. Really nice people looking to help and answer any questions. The surf shop has anything you need for the beach. Just bought a couple board shorts and tee shirts when I was down last week. And as a guy who says "he surfs" whenever I actually get the board in the water I swing by there first for supplies. Highly recommend Kona...closet you'll get Hawaii on the east coast. The Irish Pub Children's Foundation (a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Philadelphia) received a generous donation from Kona. I reached out to Tony for a charitable donation to support the raffle prize portion of our main fundraising event, the Irish Pub Tour de Shore. He gave us nice gear for the beach to help with our "Cape May" basket which will make for a great silent auction item. I have been going to Kona my whole life and overall am always pleased with the service and great quality products; having them donate was certainly a plus. read more

I visited the surf shop a few weeks ago. wide variety of boards and supplies.Extensive product knowledge from personal experience . Last week I shopped on line for a board bag and founrd no one could come close to KONAS PRICE FOR THE SAME QUALITY. I RECEIEVED IT WITHIN 2 DAYS! For years the main KONA store has been my source of sporting goods,causal clothing, and swim wear .They constantly update it with the latest merchandise. Kona continues to grow and surprise me. This place is by far my favorite surf shop to go to! The associates there are super friendly and helpful. I am the store manager of a retail company myself so I am used to picking things out normal customers would not. The store was clean, I could understand all the sales going on so it made it easy for me shop what I was looking for, I always felt someone was close by to help with anything and the merchandise is awesome! I've been going to Kona for over 25 years and I've been passing this tradition on to my kids. We go every time we are in wildwood. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Our latest trip, 7/20, was a very special one. My son picked up his first surfboard! There were tons of boards to chose from and one of the shaping guys help us pick out just the right board for his height and weight. My son was stoked to say the least. From their extensive collection of shoes to the stylish Kona Classic Collection, Kona is definitely the #1 stop for all your surfing, skating and beach needs.
