Yesterday the crew was here for the recent job of removing concrete landing step ( which started to fall apart during the winter) and replacing it with a granite step. I asked the day they finished as I wasn't home the day they installed and they said it wasn't necessary and would have to remove whole thing to do it, I'm not an A hole so I just agreed to pay the 3k because they were good people and I didn't want to inconvenience them but now knowing I'll have to remove everything just to replace that piece of wood is not sitting well with me. Overall it doesn't look great to me and I expected more for that price. I gave 2 stars instead of 0 because the 2 brothers were very professional and seemed like good guys. I estimate the total hours worked, including the 2 times they had to come back and fix the mess, was 11 hours. Not a bad hourly wage for a SKILLED MASON. You just can't tell me I got a skilled mason. Jason actually had to walk up these stairs to grab the check off my door and it didn't bother him a bit. I had to complain. They sent someone to clean some of the stairs (photo included) but never fixed the stucco that was falling off after 3 days. I complained again and someone with more experience came and did a better job. The first guy never laid a drop cloth so spillage all over sidewalk.
