First time here !!! Well we were out junkin and antiquin'. Kiddos were getting hangry. We have heard about Gambino's due to advertising all over the internet, social media, and some radio commercials. So we decided to give it a try on a Saturday. Service was welcoming and friendly. Food: salad bar, I am not about to turn down a wilted lettuce salad bar. I could just blame the humidity and heat outside. Salad bar needs some help and a little more tastier variety in veggies, which could be the humidity playing with the foodie emotions in me.. I am not really sure. We didn't do the buffet. New places for us, we will order off the menu firstly to see if the buffet in the future will be a go. There's another Gambinos in Gore, OK. So two places not far from us could be a hit/miss... -pizza hadn't arrived while typing this .. so I'll hold my thoughts for a moment.... I like the pizza sauce... it's tangy !! The pizza sauce doesn't have the usual zest to it, but this is good. I go off the pizza sauce. The toppings are a plus. So the toppings hit the mark. We ordered one pepperoni and one deluxe which is the "supreme"type. Both pizzas are the thin crust made to order. Not bad!! Not bad for our first step in and sit down. Y'all give it a try. read more

Was in Checotah for antique shopping and stopped in for lunch. It's in an older building downtown, but is well lit and decorated tastefully All American/Italian decor on old brick walls. Really cute!! They have an all you can eat salad bar and pizza with drinks, garlic bread, bread sticks, and ravioli! The price was just under $7.00!! I thought very cheap for all you get. I asked if they had a veggie pizza with jalapeños coming out since I didn't see it on the buffet, so they made one and brought it to my table! How's that for service! The salad fixings were fresh and the ranch dressing tasted like the home made buttermilk kind! Really good! The pizza is really good too! Quite surprised by the whole experience! The pizza was good, but the service needs work. My husband, my mom, and I went into Checotah to eat after working on Airbnbs we own in the area. Gambino's closes at 9pm and we got there about 7:50pm. We ordered a couple of small pizzas and a calzone. The salad bar was empty but the girl at the cash register said she would refill it. We got there at the same time as a couple of other families. My husband was trying to make small talk with her and mentioned they were busy on a Saturday night. She made a snide remark saying "yeah, right as we are closing". After we ate, we wanted to order a dessert pizza. My husband went to the counter about 8:45pm and asked if it was too late to order a dessert pizza. The young girl said "well I can't refuse your order anyway, so what do you want?" The dessert pizza took about ten minutes to cook and we were still out the door to leave by 9pm. The girl clearly showed her irritation with us and the other families. It's a Saturday night in an area where people visit in the summer because of Lake Eufaula. We were anxious to try this restaurant and list it as a recommended place to eat in our Airbnb. Unsure we will be doing that now. I understand the girl was young, but she should learn how businesses and customer service work. There was no need for her attitude and it ruined the experience for us. read more

I had high hopes for Gambino's Pizza but now I look down at my pathetic pizza the calzone not bad the dessert pizza pretty good but their everyday run-of-the-mill Pizza static I think licking cheese off the bottom of my shoe might have enough taste to cover this pizza up I do not suggest it the price for two medium pizzas almost $30 that's called overpriced calzones are a bit pricey but that's the best thing they do have next to the dessert pizza and if you expect a good Buffet CiCi's pizza is in Tulsa Oklahoma but they're still not good read more

My family went here today. Very nice place. I like the old brick wall. My grand daughter said she wanted cheese pizza. They didn't have any on the buffet. The gentleman said he would make one and put it on the buffet. A little bit later he didn't just put it on the buffet he brought the whole pizza to our table and gave my grand daughters all the cheese pizza they wanted before taking it to the buffet. First off this place is very clean, always good when you have little kids with you. We ate the buffet and the pizza was really good. Also, the cook saw me walk in with two kids and started making a fresh half cheese half pepperoni pizza and walked it out to us to make sure the girls got what they wanted.
