She associates her uniform with "going to school", which is a great visual prompt to get us ready & out the door each day. 2) The administration and staff are so helpful & have been extra accommodating to her special needs. There is a great curriculum including an introduction to Spanish language skills & preschool preparation (tracing letters, using glue sticks & scissors, etc) . It's truly like a school rather than just a daycare facility. She loves her teachers Mrs Ruth & Miss Justine :) 3) The tech used by the facility is great. The app lets us check her in & out for the day with ease. We get information and photo updates throughout the day. 3) Food is healthy and our picky eater never goes hungry.

Shannon was fantastic to work with to iron out all the details and answered every question we had. Marleen was our day of person and she was great. All decor and set up was ready when we arrived and they set out all the birthday treats for us. This facility is a perfect birthday spot if your group ranges from babies to about 8 years old. We had a handful of tiny tots and mostly kids between 5-6 and it was perfect. Everyone had a great time and I saw staff actively walking around cleaning up the place and making sure to contain the chaos and look out for kids safety. It's definitely not a cheap place to have a kids party, but it was definitely worth it. My only negative feedback would be that the parking lot is tight and got crowded fast. A lot of our guest had to circle for a spot. The second feedback would be that they could definitely benefit from getting a better caterer. The pizza was pretty disappointing even by a kids standard and they all went for the fruit and veggie plates originally got for the adults. Otherwise it was great! I would definitely reconsider having another party here or bringing the kids on a rainy weekend. Thanks JumpinJax!

Deerkill is by far the best day camp in the Rockland County area. My kids both learned to swim…read morethere at a very early age and I now have the confidence when we are at the beach or a pool to let them enjoy the water without fear. The staff (from counselors to instructors) is also fantastic and a group of very experienced professionals. The directors are always developing new programs and bringing in the latest activities for campers of all ages. One of the newest additions to the camp is the climbing wall and zip line. My kids could not get enough of them. My kids are also huge fans of animals and the fact that Deerkill has a pony, and a couple of friendly alpacas is a great plus. Overall, I would recommend Deerkill to anyone that would like to provide their kids with the opportunity to have summers they will never forget making life long friends along the way. I think our first safari was "Iconic New York", which was not only instructive but also fun-- and…read morewe came home with a stunning number of wonderful images. Prior to that we'd been on other photo trips with noted photographers like Ken Rockwell, but NYC Photo Safari offered much more detailed "hands-on" instruction and feedback about our shots. It was a very fulfilling experience and after three hours we had more great shots than we ever got during three days of shooting elsewhere. Since then we've gone on almost all of the safaris; e.g., Iconic NY Parts 1&2, Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park and Composition Boot Camp. The pictures we captured were good enough that we've printed and sold many of them. Another interesting aspect of these tours is that they attract interesting people from all over the world. A few months ago we completed a recent nighttime 3-1/2 Bridges Tour that involved taking just about every mode of transit NYC has to offer. Again it was a superb time and yielded a bevy of presentation-quality, marketable images.

Each day, the photo sessions started at 12:30 pm and ended approximately 10:30 pm each evening touring every part of Manhattan in every direction. It sounds like alot but each day just flew by. The instructors were incredibly professional and patient. They imparted their vast photographic knowledge, taking their time to explain the composition and reason/purpose of each shot. It was a lot of information and I definitely grow as a photographer. I want give big thank you Zim, who took her time to answer all of my question not matter how insignificant. She help me "think outside the box" to examine some of my preconceived ideas and in a new light (no pun intended...not).
