What started as a simple exchange of soccer cleats. Turn into a stressful morning. Should have simply arrived and gotten help to return and place an order for a new size. Instead had me wait 20 min. For her to say that her system is down. And then I have to download the app and have it shipped to my house. She returned the credit to a gift card and told me to download the app and go re order my cleats. and now I can't order them as it won't let me ship to the store. And shipping it to my house is 14$ more expensive. Everything from the online purchase, pick up ,return went great. Leaving me to basically fix the problem myself. I have bought gifts for my adult children for their homes too.Things for their yards and decor items for their houses. Kites for every age and ability are still available. Its their signature collection and why the store came to be, so long ago. The staff is still wonderful and if you see it, buy it, because specific stock items change and may not be able to be restocked. With a membership there are so many perks so the savings are huge, especially kf you use their partner credit card. Even leaving empty handed today, it was a fun experience . The boot fitter put me into a pair of K2 that were like putting my foot into gloves. Soft inside, yet firm enough that I knew they would be responsive. After I had custom foot beds put in - we realized that the new boots had a completely different bottom and therefore wouldn't clip into my Blizzard Black Pearls. I bought this year's model of Black Pearls with new bindings. My old skis (less than 3 years old) were then handed down to my adult daughter who had been using them since my surgeries. Now we're both happy. Highly recommend Christy Sports in Boulder.

The store is not huge and therefore the selection could be greater for certain things (I'm looking at you, camp stoves), but what is available is well-curated. Also, the staff is friendly and helpful, parking is solid, and the area is serviced by the HOP bus, so it's easy to get to even if you aren't driving. The product selection is solid, but what really stood out is the level of customer service. It's rare these days to find retail staff who go above and beyond, and these two certainly did (even humoring me as I reminisced about my own time working in retail). As a funny side note, I even got the chance to chase after a customer and his dog after he accidentally left a dog bone behind at the counter. Unfortunately, I wasn't fast enough to return it--maybe he'll return for his purchase! All in all, great selection, great service, and a team that makes shopping here a genuinely positive experience.
