The people, the place, how Glenn is such a rare great human being that still gives you hope in humanity since he's such a pure hearted great man and you can see and feel it in this place. Great even for beginners like us! Helpful staff! We were given an orientation, which included tutorials on how to put on the protective gears, rules, and how to shoot. With the rentals (bow, 3 arrows, protective equipments, $8) and day pass ($12), it came out to be $20 total per person, and you get to stay as long as you like. It was pretty worth the experience. With the rentals, you get to only shoot 10 yard range (instead of 20). But if you bring your own stuff, you can shoot the 20 yard targets! Amazing experience! Will return read more

Hate this place Came here three times and had Horrible experiences. It's too crowded and the staff aren't very friendly and neither were some of the people there shooting like this one dude that I've seen there before that I'm guessing regularly goes here and he was trying to give me pointers but ended up just being an annoyance ended up telling him I didn't shoot well because I'm a hunter and prefer rifle shooting he stopped after that. They offered me lessons because I wasn't shooting good but declined because they probably would over charge me and because my friend said he would do it for me. Honestly I would rather go out in the woods and do archery than do it here. It's one thing I miss about living in Georgia but regardless this place is also in a small building which goes back to my point about it being crowded. I honestly felt like I wasted 12 dollars. Didn't even bother asking for a refund because I didn't feel like fighting about it. Probably not ever going to return unless I'm with friends because it's the only reason I come here for. read more

+ 2hr session + rented gear (bow and arrows etc...) Went here on a Friday night with some friends. Only a few of us have actually done this. The location is in a warehouse and indoors. When we walked in what we saw was a row of professionals with their compound bows. I was intimidated to say the least. But, what made that inconsequential was the amazing staff. They were such a friendly bunch taking the time with each of us individually from the gear we were using to how we were aiming -felt like a 1:1 session for sure. What was really awesome to see was how important safety was for the staff, but also everyone's willingness(customers included) to following them. read more

First time girlfriend and I came together it was great! But the second time coming was not so great. We both got day passes and only got to shot for maybe an hour before a group of beginners came in and they put them right in our spot, as we were shooting. It was really upsetting that they will just do that and looked at us as if we were in the wrong. Trying to fit 4 people in a 2 person spot. So long story short we paid for day passes to only shoot for an hour this Super Bowl Sunday. Very disappointed and a little irritated that they would do that. I was actually really excited to go here. I brought my best friend and her sister, and they haven't shot since they were little. My best friends sister wasn't hitting the target at all, she kept missing and hitting the back wall, she was so discouraged and me and my best friend were trying to help her as much as possible but she couldn't get it for some reason. At one point when she hit the back wall a guy who worked there yelled at us and said "if she hits the back wall one more time there's the door." That crushed my friend, she was already so discouraged and we felt so unwelcome for just trying to practice. Right off the bat he was very mean and strict, we didn't know every rule so if we did one thing wrong we'd get yelled at. We all felt very unwelcomed and so we decided to leave. Empty Quiver is a great indoor range! Mr. Glenn is the best! They have coaches and classes and leagues for any level of archery. If you are a beginner or just interested in trying archery, you can rent a bow, and all the accessories are included (arrows, glove, arm guard, range fee) or take a beginner class or just open shoot with a little guidance and instruction. If you are a seasoned shooter - there are leagues and some competitions (Covid changed some of that) and fun shoots and Black Light shooting for something fun and challenging. There are also private lessons available from the coaches if you need some one-on-one attention. They sell equipment and have bow techs that can tune your bow and they make custom strings for compound and recurve bows. The staff is very helpful and friendly! We have come off and on since they opened in 2012 and it is still very reasonably priced! Pay the range fee and shoot as long as you want for that day or buy a monthly or annual pass. So much fun! I have never tried archery before and it was a blast!! I took the BF because it was an interest he had tried as a kid. We arrived for a 9am beginners class (also held at 12pm and 3pm every Saturday, unless otherwise stated they do not have practice on the website). The cost is $7 for an all day pass and $5 to rent all the necessary gear. Actual class is an extra $3 for just two hours. The first hour is basic introduction with a little bit of practice, rules of the house and safety. The second hour is score keeping/practice and a whole lot of fun. If one chooses to continue on with the 12pm or 3pm beginners class the same day, it's only $3.00 - that's a steal. Many of the instructors are high school kids (or young folks) with experience in the sport, therefore they are very knowledgable. Depending on the size of the class, participants shoot in rounds (either 1 or 2) so that people are not cluttered together at one time. The BF and I stayed after practice to practice shooting - we already paid for a whole day, so we figured why not. We greatly appreciated the constructive feedback and we look forward to attending classes again. read more

I have been having some trouble with my bow, and I took it to Cabela's multiple times to have them try to help me address it. Each time they did something, nothing worked, they even cut my string in doing so (a big NO NO...) I finally gave up on Cabela's, and decided to try Empty Quiver's bow shop. I quickly summarized my problem to Glenn, and in 2 seconds he knew how to fix the situation. He worked on the bow, let me shoot a couple of times, and I was getting bullseyes on the 2nd set of shots. I was a little intimidated walking into this place as a first timer but my fears quickly disappeared. We were helped by a very friendly woman who walked us through how the range works, and gave us mini lessons as well. Throughout the time we were there the staff continued to walk around and assist us as needed. The owner noticed my cousin was drawing too far and suggested he use longer arrows. A one day pass is $7 and equipment rental is $5 so for $12 you can stay there to your hearts content. They could definitely charge more for a day rate or even charge hourly but you can tell they just care about safety and making sure people have a good time. My wife and I are fairly new shooters, and we're fairly new to Colorado. We desperately miss our old shop, but feel like we've found a new home here. All of the staff are friendly and extremely helpful, and the prices are really affordable. But it's their open beginner classes that are the real deal. There are five different sessions scheduled each week, open for anyone to attend. They have a number of very young, but very knowledgeable instructors on hand for each class, such that each student can get as much attention as needed to improve their game. My wife and I are very different shooters--she's working with traditional, and I shoot compound. She's still feeling like she's getting the basics down, and the direct assistance she got today really improved her grouping and confidence. I wanted a form check, and the few gentle tweaks that were suggested to me really settled down my shooting as well. Highly recommended. Empty Quiver clearly is developing the next generation of archers, and it has always been a pleasure doing business with them. read more

Awesome! We went this morning for the beginner class and it was great! This is a unexpected great family activity, we found out one kid isn't really interested but my wife and the other kid along with myself are going to have fun going there! We might drag the other one again since we took the 9am Saturday beginner class...kind of early for a 16 year old during summer break haha! There is no "classroom" type time, you start off 1 on 1 for your first round of arrows then it's a 1 on 1 as needed. The pricing is completely worth it, incredibly reasonable for 2 hours of range time with lots of 1 on 1 instructor time as your shooting. Run from the Boulder range rates and come here! Great staff!
