Stopped in after a bite across the street and enjoyed my time here! It's definitely a chill vibe…read more It was earlier in the day and not busy yet so we popped out to the garden for the bartender. We sat inside at the bar where there was a live DJ set happening and that was fun. They also have a variety of games and several beer options. I don't drink beer so I was happy to see that they had seltzers as well. They have two single stall bathrooms and a designated parking lot.

This was my second time coming here, and just like the first, I'm still not sure if this place is…read moreon its way in or on its way out. I was the only person sitting at the bar, even though a DJ was playing (maybe just for me?). For a place that calls itself a Biergarten, the beer selection was very underwhelming. There were only about five beers on tap, and the fridge looked half empty. I had just hopped over from Sideward, was working on something on my phone, and thought I'd give this spot another shot. The place was empty except for what looked like two bartenders and the DJ. I ordered a beer on tap, but it was warm -- and at $8, definitely overpriced. At that point, I just drank it, listened to the music, and didn't bother complaining. I'll always support local businesses, but if you're going to call yourself a Biergarten, then live up to the name. Otherwise, call yourself something else. Honestly, I should've stayed at Sideward.

From smash burgers…read moreto tacos and even a stuffed churro, the killer options made it tough to decide on what to order. I landed on ordering the Beatty's Blue's Smash Burger and upgraded to truffle fries (go big or go home!). Everything was fantastic and memorable, even a week or so later writing this review! The burger was perfectly cooked, the toppings were on point, and the fries were decadent and jam packed with truffle flavor. 10/10 food without question. What made it even better? The personable, stellar service. In an area saturated by food trucks, Simmer Down is a stand out. If you are lucky enough to run into or visit Simmer Down, at the bare minimum, get the truffle fries!

We went to Ivanhoe Park Brewing specifically to try out this truck and we're so pleasantly surprised by the casual, charming and inclusive brewery. But the Simmer Down food was the highlight! Service was friendly and they have a pager system so you can grab a beer while you wait for your food. The smash burger on brioche was one of the top five burgers in Orlando for sure. The taco was really next level good. And the churro was sweet and delicious. Only reason I can't give them 5 stars is the fries were soggy and not my favorite. Flavor was good, and they were nice and salty... but just too wet and limp. That said, everything else was amazing and we will be back!

Appreciation for Brit -- The Great Bartender at Lil Indies…read more March 24th, 2026 -- Lil Indies, Mills 50, Orlando Ashley, my family, and I had an incredible time at Lil Indies, thanks in large part to Brit, the amazing bartender who made the night unforgettable. The atmosphere was already great, but Brit elevated everything with exceptional service, a welcoming energy, and spot on drink recommendations. Whatever Ashley was looking for, Brit nailed it every time. It is rare to find someone who can read the room, craft fantastic drinks, and make everyone feel at home all at once. Lil Indies has always had a unique charm, but Brit made this visit something special for all of us. We left smiling, relaxing, and already talking about coming back. Here is to Brit -- a true standout in Mills 50. This happened on March 24th with my family and had an absolute blast, thanks to Brit, our bartender, for the evening. Brit had this rare ability to read the room, craft fantastic drinks, and make everyone feel right at home. Whatever Ashley was in the mood for, Brit nailed it every time. Lil Indies already has such a great vibe, but Brit took the whole experience to another level. We left smiling and already talking about coming back. If you go, hope you get Brit -- a true standout!" I always forgot to ask her the name of the place, until a couple of months ago, when she remembered about it and told me it was the Hen House. The first time I went to the Hen House, of course I had to get the apple pie moonshine, and sure enough it was the best thing since sliced bread. The bar is very small, but that's what makes it so good. The decor is a sort of bordello style, with sparkly bras hanging around the place (which are custom made locally, ask the bartender if you want one), a couple of golden heels, and all around, a very pleasing atmosphere. They do allow smoking, but the place has some wide double doors that remain open during operations, so it doesn't get smoky in there. They also happen to have a unisex restroom in the back, which was quite a surprise due to the size of the place. I've been back to the Hen House since, it truly is my favorite place in Wall street, as it doesn't match the other places. Every time I get the apple pie moonshine, but I have also tried some of their beers and cocktails. They keep rotating the beers they get (craft and domestic), and have a pretty decent selection of bottles. The bartenders will also make you pretty much any cocktail you want, and are very good about suggesting drinks. Again, this place doesn't fit the general vibe of Wall street, and that is why I love it. No pretentiousness, no crazy kids, just a cool chill place to have some good drinks.
