If you want to support local sports teams try and contact the schools directly. I have worked with Gameday for many years like 8. Recently they've gone off their rockers, they charged my credit card $7800.00 dollars and have refused to deal with the problem. I'm done. They blamed me for not alerting them that they were billing the wrong card for services I never authorized. Then provided services I did not approve to justify them charging me. Not what their "contracts" (which I never approved) said I owed them. They are terrible. They don't care and they only give a small percentage to the schools. It's a shame. They say they will resolve issues and don't follow up. Best stay away from these guys!! Actually you reached out twice in less than 24 hours after I posted, trying to make it seem like everything is taken care of. It's not and you've made no efforts 5 days later to reach out and address the issues. You still owe me $505 dollars. And your assumptions that you knew who I was and that it's resolved, only to not follow up. Then asking which account it's actually for? 0 stars if we could. Scammers, liars, cheaters. This company lies and scams their way into contracts with small business ownners who don't know any better. We were sold packages to advertise at our local high school for sporting advertisements that they didn't even have contracts for. Advertising purchased was never delivered - banners purchased were never sent/received, nor put up. As stated above, como pant didn't even have a contracT with the school to put banners up. A year later, they contacted us again and stated that another rep who worked for the same company wanted to advertise with them at the school, but since we had the contract last year, they wanted to give us first right of refusal. Turns out we knew the other rep that they were referring to, and we called them. Low and behold, they informed us that they never reached out to GDM, nor have they ever even heard of them. Super shady. Do not do business with this company. Our legal team is still reviewing all transactions and we're looking to take them to court. Just avoid. read more

Very crooked sales practices. I let their art team create my banner since they know how big it is, placement, etc. and the text was far too small to be seen! As well, I was told I would get prime position for my media guide ad on the bottom of the schedule. I didn't get it! Then I was blamed for not knowing it should be noted on the contract! DUH never used them before how would I know there would be special noting for this??? I will spread the word that they are pretty crooked and unwilling to make it right. They offered me 50 bucks credit. I spoke with someone that called me after I filed a BBB complaint. He hinted around at how unfair my review is and how I wouldn't want a review like that on my business. He did everything but utter the words remove your review and we can talk. If only 0 stars was an option! I was contacted by two different reps from the Arlington Area to sign up for Gameday Media banners for my two local high schools. I was told the banners would be up in October and would stay there for an entire year for both basketball and volleyball seasons. I just called after numerous attempts of emails questing a refund for not delivering on their promises. Today, after many failed attempts at email contact, I spoke with Kara who was rude, defensive and condescending. If this is who your customer service is represented by, I would suggest some coaching in empathy and actually having customer service skills. I feel like this company's lack of response to refund my money is making be believe this is a scam. The banners are not up in the gyms and I'm being told they have to wait for photos from the schools so I'm taking that into my own hands, as I do not trust that Gameday Media has it in them to follow through. That phone call I made to customer care was unapologetic, and blamed the schools, and unwilling to show any remorse that I was charged for a service I never received. Read and decide if this business is a SCAM. After a series of email and phone calls, I feel Game Day Media has cheated my business. It started with initial email regarding sponsoring local high school sports team. I emailed/called regarding a stadium banner. Then the representative talked me to get the program ad and the banner. After working with the art departments and confirm multiple times. The football season started. And with my surprise, I received the stadium banner at my office and the program. I was a bit confused with the banner. So I emailed and contacted Game Day Media. After couple weeks into the seasons, nobody got back to us. I sent multiple emails to all the different reps and even art department to try to get a reply. No luck. The rep who spoke to me originally left the company. And finally today, I had to call GameDayMedia and talk with the rep. Then they later told me that my high school doesn't have stadium banners. After exchanging several emails (including a picture of the stadium banner and the contract stating stadium banner), this rep told me it is stadium banner but marked with "personal". She confirmed that after the football season, the vendor generally could get the banner back. And the company doesn't have specific language on "personal" vs "stadium" or "stadium personal". For hundred or thousand of dollars, be sure what your school or business is invested in. I just don't want another business or high school going through what I have been through. read more

This company is a complete scam. They prey upon people who don't know any better and take advantage of them. They wont produce ads, they will however, charge your credit card. I called them after discovering that a young manager at one of our locations fell for one of their sleazy marketing tactics. I spoke with a representative who was condescending, rude, and blatantly lied to me about a relationship they claimed to have with local schools. We were able to get our money back, but it took several follow ups and a confrontational attitude. Not only were they rude and unhelpful, this company takes the money of hard working business owners and profits off it. They claim they've donated millions to schools, they have not. They profit off the money and donate minimal, if any, money back. Please beware and do not work with this company, I don't understand how they are allowed to stay in business. This is an edited review..... I have worked with this company for the last 5 years. Recently they did not treat me like a valued customer. Main problem was poor and untimely communication. Upon hearing that were not going to work with my school I wrote a strongly worded email and a poor yelp review laying it all out there. With in one work day I had multiple calls and an email from the GM of the company. The conversation that we had was apologetic and very professional. The following day I received a FedEx letter from the owner of the company. In life we all make mistakes. The people who go above and beyond to correct their mistakes are special. Don't ever use this company. 1. I spent a lot of money 4,000 and got one call. So if you are thinking of spending more money to possibly get more call think again. 2. Is the main reason. For spending so much money they threw in a few upgrades for free which made kinda of good deal to pass up. I got a full page add at all the high schools for free and they threw in Leigh high school soccer and spring for free. Then they had the nerve to charge my months later for baseball that was already included in that 4000. They didn't even notify me of the charge. They just charged me 1200. And it has been a ongoing battle back in forth to get it back. They always say ethere we will look into it and never call back or the person that was on your account that helped you is at lunch and we have him get back to you. And he never does. Everyone I talked to at Gameday Media was very willing to help with anything I needed. If I called and had a question, they were very responsive and always wanted to make sure i was satisfied with the ad I was placing and had everything I needed. I would say the best option may be if you have someone design your own ad just because that way you can make it look how you want it to look, but if you don't have the time or resources, they are very willing to design it for you. Overall, my experience with Gameday in Portland has been very positive. If I'm able to financially support my alma mater again, I'd go through Gameday again. Initially, I received a vague voicemail from a man who seemed annoyed that I didn't pick up. He said he found it hard to contact me, yet I hadn't ever gotten any voicemails from Gameday prior to that voicemail. I figured he'd been having a hard day.... I returned the call, tried to reach the fellow who had left the voicemail, and eventually ended up working with a different gentleman who was very professional. The first proof was an eye-catching design that I really liked, but it had hardly any information that I'd listed in my email of info I wanted in my ad. I then let Gameday know I wanted a re-do on the ad proof. The second proof done by a different designer was just what I wanted. What Gameday did: they listened, they responded, they provided an ad I liked. They also said I can use my ad (that they designed) in other mediums. (I have yet to follow up on that.) I found Gameday to be very responsive, pleasant to work with, and overall very professional! I felt my representative communicated well with me. After I received the sports program with my ad through the mail, I emailed Geoff (general manager) a thank you. He quickly responded with a nice email. Legit at first and I was thinking about it. An employee would constantly call even after he left a message. I finally spoke to the employee and after pausing the employee started being relentless and told me he would call nonstop while being aggressive. He would not take no for an answer. Had the employee been 'normal' I would have used their services. He got impatient then started to get prideful and believed he had every right to badger me into signing. He killed the deal. I started working with Adrian Allsman in September. He assured me I would be on the front page of all the magazines. He even stated before he would charge my card, he would hold it for the spots. I told him I needed to confirm some numbers, he assured me he would call back before he ran the card. They charged my credit card $6000 dollars and have refused to deal with the problem. It should have only been $500! I never authorized the additional charges! They set up an ad for a chiropractor! The proof says all the stuff a doctor provides! I own a CBD Store that is retail! WE have nothing to do with a chiropractor! I was informed they would come out and check out the store. No one will return phone calls, emails, etc. I have reached out to the Regional Rep and the National Rep! No response! I called the art department and advised they do not even have the right business posted as a proof! I am going to file a small claims court, I notified the BBB. Poor Sales, Poor Follow Through, Poor Service, Lack of Integrity. Poor Sales: After a high pressure salesman named Tyler pressured me into paying by credit card and promising if corporate sent a check later, they'd refund the card, I paid for two banners at two local high schools. Poor Follow Through: My artwork was in on time and they did not get any of the vendors banners to the schools on time. They actually missed almost half of the season. Poor Service: I called to ask about why none of the banners still weren't up when 1/2 of the season was over, and after giving me the runaround, they said they'd refund about $300 of the $750. 3 weeks later and I still haven't received the refund. Lack of Integrity: Corporate did send the check on 4/13/17 to them for the full $750 (which comes out of my commission), and Gameday Media still has not refunded the $750 to my credit card nor have they given the refund for missing 1/2 of the season by delivering the banners late. read more

I signed up with my local Gameday Media office (Raleigh NC) to sponsor 4 high schools for the football season. They seemed good to work with, did what they said they would. Come a new sports season (Basketball) they have taken money from my account although I have no contract, did not agree to them holding my credit card on file or give them permission to renew my contracts. My contracts were one season, one sport. For a month now I have been trying to get a refund. Once I speak with a person, that person never calls me back and avoids further calls. Its amazing how many of them have "just stepped away from their desk", "are in a meeting", "are on the phone" or "have gone home sick". Do NOT do business with this company read more

Multiple times per day. I had to block their numbers to try and limit the calls. They take high pressure sales to a new level. Many of them make donations or participate in sponsorship programs offered by the school's PTSO or booster. New scam alert: Companies are calling our local businesses selling sponsorship programs that have nothing to do with our schools. They are selling a banner for $1000, and the schools have no idea this is occurring, nor are they seeing one cent. However, the perception is the company is representing the schools and appreciate your support. My suggestion is if a company is calling your business about sponsoring a local school, then call the school to confirm the legitimacy of the company before writing a check or signing an agreement. Please continue to support our schools and make sure that you are not being scammed while trying to express your generosity and support in them.
