If you love comics and pop culture in general, you really need to stop by this store. We try to stop in whenever we're over in Mandarin. While I've never been big into comic books, I've always loved pop culture collectibles. I know they can't carry everything in store but every time we're in there I'm amazed by how much they do have on hand. Sure, there are huge online stores that you can order tons of things from but like always, I'd rather support a local Jacksonville business if at all possible. Especially if it's a place I've received great customer service from before and that's the case with Mythical Mountain. We've called ahead before when we were looking for gifts and had them remember the call hours later when we got to the store and helped us find the perfect gift. I took a few pics to share but I still don't think it gives you a good idea of how much stuff they have in the store. I didn't find anything I wanted to pick up today but my wife found a Mick Foley action figure that she bought for herself, so that's a win for America. If you needed any further proof of the level of customer service and care they provide, you don't really need to look further than the most recent post I made about them in the the Jacksonville Fun, Eats & Drinks Facebook group. I posted a recap of our most recent visit in the group and mentioned the part you just read about how I didn't find anything then I mentioned that I need to call them some time to see if they can get their hands on one of the Michael Jackson figures made by Blitzway because they seem like the type of store that might be able to get that type of thing. Then I went on to say that even if they can't get it, I'd still rather try if I can go through a local place first before somewhere online. Within minutes, the store owner left a comment asking me to send her a DM with information on what I'm looking for to see if she can help. See what I mean? You can't get that kind of customer service from any online store, no matter how big and bad they are... If you like stuff like this, stop in at Mythical Mountain in Mandarin some time. Even if collectables or comics aren't your thing, I bet you could find a gift for someone you know at this store with ease. Everything had great signage so things were easy to find and sectioned off. I went in looking for a book and the two on the shelf were damaged. The gentleman at the register was so friendly and helpful and found me a copy in the back. It was a gift for my boss and he saved the day! Great customer service!

Even though it was still busy with people probably having the same idea I did, Parking and navigating the store was pretty easy to do. I just needed some plumeria and poinsettia artificial flowers which were 40-50% off. I bought all they had left. I also found some Xmas gifts for a reasonable price. I guess this is the store for holiday decor because they have really nice items for hosting parties.

I explained to Janet upfront I am probably the least creative person that ever walked this earth and within five minutes came up with a design that was perfect. It was as if she read me and knew what I liked!! She was pleasant, professional, maintained a smile the entire time. She was not sitting in judgment of my lack of creativity either instead truly made me feel valued. I came in with and envelope that contained my babies…read moregender and gave her a blue and a pink bear for her to fill and box up for us to open when my husband got home. Right away she made the experience unforgettable! We would not have had as great of a gender reveal if it wasn't for her! We are so excited to welcome our baby girl! We came in for an impromptu trip to look at some Christmas items…read more It's been a little bit since I've been here and I will say, I know the economy's not great, but Michael's prices have become extremely high, even with a coupon, compared to a few of their competitors. I also noticed at this specific location that they took away their price scanners, which is a real bummer. I downloaded the app to check a few prices and the scanner on the app didn't work. It was kind of a pain to keep trying to find an associate member to ask to scan prices. Maybe if items go on sale a bit more I'll purchase a few things, until then, I'll just browse.

The quality is very good and the material is very sturdy and won't break easy. Value for the items is reasonable plus they have discounts if you sign-up with your email or phone number. The ladies at checkout were very friendly and quite helpful with their recommendations for home decorations.
