Called and requested a game board for a slot machine. They took my info and haven't heard back from them.

I bought my son his first acoustic stick many years ago there. My husband husband bought my cue sticks and I love them and we just bought a pool table from there. The owner is very nice reliable awesome I recommend the store for all games people play. read more

We bought a Buck Hunter from him almost 3 years ago. He delivered it, 2 weeks later it stopped working, he came and picked it up to repair it, he never returned it or repaired it. He kept saying I will get the part for it to repair it. This guy is a criminal not sure how he is still open. read more

We bought a slot machine ($3999) from Games People play. They went to deliver it and the machine stopped working. They couldn't repair it, so two weks latter, they call and show up with a different slot machine ($3699). We were ok with the different machine, but expected $300 refund. We return to the store and were told the price of the machine was now $3999 because they had to put a monitor screen in it. We did not get a refund. Don't buy from this guy! read more

Games People play is a fun store to browse. They have a pretty nice selection of used slot machines of all types in stock. All of them are plugged in, working and have credits on them for you to try them out. They also carry sorts of equipment and accessories for billiards, pinball, arcade, darts, poker, juke boxes, and all sorts of other games. You could build a pretty cool game room at home with just you find here. They have been in business for 40 years and are family owned, They promote that they are not commission-based and are the largest game room supplier in Northern AZ, as well as having a full service department. I haven't purchased anything yet so I cannot speak to that experience. However, the staff has always been friendly and answered all my questions, and they have good reviews elsewhere, so I would have no issues buying here. read more

AVOID this business! After being mislead and told they were capable of repairing a slot machine of a few burned out bulbs, This inexperienced and unscrupulous group took over 6 months and placed our unit outside their business to attract customers, only to have our property damaged, prompting them to collect three time the original estimate! They RAN to the bank with our check before a stop payment could issued. BEWARE! This group wont last long and is appropriately occupying a dying mall in a depressed area of Prescott AZ. read more

Don't let Games People Play play games with you. I have read so many other reviews about how they weren't able to complete work that people were lead to believe they could finish. I left my dart board with them because they said they could probably fix it in a few hours for less than 200 dollars. 6 months and over 600 dollars later, i still had no dart board. I had to let them keep it because they wanted to charge labor (even though the dart board still didn't work), so i basically paid 600 to be back at square 1 with my dart board functionality. Furthermore, they have zero communication skills whatsoever. Every update during this time was initiated by me on how my dart board was coming along. DO NOT give them business unless you want to lose money and your property to this company. I just wish i had seen a review before i did business with them. Also, they completely backtracked everything by saying THEY made phone calls to me in their written notes. I have the phone records that show a max of 3 or 4 calls made by them to me, and that was typically them calling me back after asking for an update. In short, take your money and your business elsewhere, you're just going to be frustrated if you work with them. read more

I purchased a pool table from a friend, and they recommended Games People Play to disassemble, move, reassemble and add new cloth. I called and they were able to get me an appointment fairly quickly. Although the move and reassembly took 9.5 hours, the job was done fine at a cost of $750 for a 6-mile move. After the techs left, we noticed a large oil or transmission fluid puddle on our driveway pavers. The next morning I called to let them know about the leak and see what they were going to offer to remedy it. Presumably the owner took the call and when I told him what had happened, he simply said, "Thanks for letting us know" and was quick to get off of the phone. Later, his excuse was that he was busy, but he didn't even offer a hint of responsibility or say he would call me back to discuss. I wrote an email detailing my dissatisfaction, and possible dispute of a portion of the final payment, so he called and left a voice mail basically giving excuses about why he was short on the phone and tried to make this my problem. He was snarky and said, "What do you want? Do you want us to come back and clean it up? I don't know what you're asking for. We did a job for you and now you say you're not going to pay for it?". If the guy had shown any concern at all, I probably would have said that we'll try and clean it up ourselves and let you know how it goes. I would strongly suggest that you have your truck maintained so this doesn't happen to another customer's driveway, however. I see why there are so many bad reviews for this store. The owner has no sense of how to deal with customers. I'm guessing he doesn't want many! I wonder what he'd think if someone left a puddle of oily, greasy waste on his driveway. Bet is wouldn't go over very well. Don't shop here, this guy's terrible with the public. read more

In response to buyer beware....Very interesting.........At NO time was there any disrespect shown by either party . Just because the customer does not get they want does not mean there was. The customer was offered a couple options for their return. There was the option of store credit , which has been our policy since 1978. Another option was the customer stated they may want a different item in exchange , with the balance as store credit . The customer stated he would go home and speak with his family to see if the original item would be acceptable . I offered to discount the restocking fee as an option as well. Our return policy is very common and mirrors many others . What concerns me most was the accusation of disrespect . At NO time was there any disrespect shown , that statement is just not accurate. read more
