I posted a picture of my new build from KC on Facebook and a friend asked what brand it was?? I said: "This isn't a brand, more like a dynasty!! It's a custom build by KC Lyon!!" I've always bought the cheapest off the shelf computer at Best Buy, or even once at Walmart, that was 300'ish or less in price, and milked as many years out of it as I could. They always come pre-loaded with tons of garbage, and non-functional software with 30 day free use, looking for you to spend 100's more to keep using it, etc. etc. This one has none of that junk in it, and good usable programs that will function without holding me hostage for more money!! I'm not super savvy when it comes to computers, but had saved up for a long time, to be able to buy one in a lot different category! I'd settled on one of two at Costco, and was just biding some time to make a decision. Both were heavy duty gaming machines, with crazy gig size in the Ram dept., and pricey, to say the least. I was told by my neighbor that what I picked out was "overkill" in the extreme, and to take my time making the decision. I had the amount saved up I'd set as my limit, and really just wanted them to put one or the other on sale, so I could feel like I got a deal!! On a whim one day I googled computer shops in my area and found PC simplicity! He's a Marine, had nothing but rave reviews online for his builds and services, and I kinda felt this was where I needed to go! Stopped in, chatted a few, set an appointment to meet for detailed discussion, he put together a proposal, landing dead center in price, between the 2 off the shelf ones, and even included a new, larger, better quality monitor that wasn't included in either of the others, plus a mechanical, back lit keyboard I am in love with, and a quality mouse with......blue lights in it!! LOL Blue is my favorite color and he had some horse history as well, so this became "Project Blue Colt"!! I want to give KC and PC Simplicty a 10 star rating but am only allowed 5. I had the pleasure of utilizing his services after the latest Windows 10 automatic update totally ruined my computer. I have never needed professional computer help before and had contact 2 Computer repair shops in my area to try to get in ASAP to fix my problem. PC Simplicity responded within a couple of hours! (I still haven't gotten a reply from the service I contacted in Prescott). I was able to bring it in that day. I explained my issue and he said he was swamped with service requests from a couple dozen other people whose computers were hosed by Microsoft. He started working on it and ran into several issues. Bottom line is he gave me a quote prior to me bringing in my computer, which I felt was extremely reasonable. He ended up spending a lot more time on my computer due to some software issues. He said that my computer fell into the "nightmare" category haha! When I went to pay he told me the amount which was the same as the original quote. I offered to pay more as I have been in similar situations with a small business that I had before I moved to Arizona. He refused to take anything more than what his original quote was. I am more than impressed with this man's integrity and the quality of the service that he provided me. I would recommend him without reservation to anyone in the area that has computer issues! To be truthful, I have to be pretty motivated to write a review. The business either is so bad that I feel a responsibility to warn people about their incompetence or so stellar that I also have a responsibility to let the world know about exceptional and professional businesses. My experience with PC Simplicity was fantastic. My computer was five or six years old. Top of the line at the time, but ridden hard. KC listened to its problems and my concerns, and even though he was swamped (with, at the time, the trashing of machines with a Windows 10 update) he got back to me within two days. I had assured him at the time that it wasn't the usual rush job that we all unrealistically want, but he got back to me on Memorial Day weekend, a day or two later. KC gave me the prognosis, options, recommendations, and cost estimates. I now have a computer that is fast as blazes, efficient and reliable, as well as guaranteed. The cost was half of what I would have spent if I'd bought a new, comparable computer. I am a satisfied customer, but this isn't a "one off" occurrence. My wife had taken hers in a few weeks before and had a similar experience. I cannot say enough good things about KC and PC Simplicity. read more

I brought my laptop in, which I use daily for work. KC had it back to me in a day. My understanding of electronic computer problems is minimal at best, however, KC thoughtfully broke down the problems my laptop was experiencing and gave me three options to correct the problem. All three corrective solutions were explained in detail. One of the options was even free but would take days for the clean up of problems on the computer. Another was a corrective measure that replaced an inexpensive part, but it too was going to take a bit. He gave me a third option, which for me, was my best solution. All of these were explained to me without KC knowing my situation that I needed the laptop's life expanded and back to me as quick as possible. He explained each scenario that could potentially play out. The value of having a comprehensive and descriptive evaluation to make a decision was just what I needed to make a choice that met my needs. Needless to say, KC fixed the issue. I left there with my laptop working and feeling like I just had the most attentive computer repair person extend the life of my laptop and I was right! My wife Patricia and I are firm believers in reading reviews on businesses before using them and we liked what we read on the reviews for PC Simplicity. My wife called and spoke to Casey who was very helpful and up front with me. We liked his professionalism so we took her lap top to them because it would not stay on and it had a broken wire where the lap top hinge. We saw right off that the business was clean and organized and there were several employees hard at work. We were greeted quickly and in a friendly manner by the receptionist and Casey came up to my wife telling her we had spoken earlier. She felt confident leaving her computer with them and the next day Casey called her back telling her what the problem was. She agreed on his fixing her laptop and it only cost her the diagnostic of what the problem was. When she went to pick it up her lap top she saw that it was working great and even faster than when she dropped it off. She was even offered some Pizza. Casey told her that there are a lot of qualified and good computer repair services in the valley but, he was thankful for her patronage. We would go back to them anytime. read more

Only come here if you want honest, fast service explained in plain English. The display wasn't working on my laptop. I brought it in and by the end of the day, they called with what they suspected was the problem. Wanting to make sure there were no other problems in the background, they kept it an additional day. The problem was a quirk with some laptops. The battery was removed, cleaned and reinstalled. They also updated various drivers and the BIOS while it was there. All this for no addition to the reasonable diagnostic fee. In fact, they give discounts to Veterans and others with a coupon, which we had. The service was extremely reasonable, the machine works better than new and I really appreciate the fact they didn't tell me it was the graphics module or some other expensive part. Their honesty has won my gratitude and I will go there whenever a computer malfunctions. read more

My laptop began its inevitable decline, and I was concerned that I would lose all of my data, especially considering that I am in grad school online. I decided this was the opportune time to upgrade to a desktop computer that could withstand the programs I run for schooling and my gaming. I contacted KC about what I was looking for in a custom build, and he responded promptly to talk about what specifications I would need. He sent over an invoice, and the pricing looked really reasonable. After a little tweaking, the invoice was approved, and they had my computer built within a week. KC helped me with a custom build with a $1,000 budget. It was a great experience for many reasons: 1. As a person who has been out of the times with computers, he took the time to explain to me the various updates with the components and parts (awesome for folks who want to know what they're getting!) 2. He did a lot of consultation over the phone, which meant, I could have an idea about something and not need to go in to work it out. 3. He really focuses on your preferences and when you aren't sure about what you would like, he motivates you to learn more about what you would like. If you really aren't interested in knowing more about something, he's happy to take the wheel and check with you with any final decisions for builds. Clean and very customer friendly. When I walked in a young man named John was helping a older woman. Hard of hearing She was speaking with a very raised voice while John was as patient as could be. When it was my turn John listened to me rattle on about the issue at hand then we talked and John played with the troublesome iPad I brought in. John checked what software the iPad was running and explained several things to me. All in a very crisp and clear way, and all the while treating me with RESPECT. PC Simplicity provides a great computer service and its owner, KC, is very knowledgeable and has the background to assist you with any problems and/or questions. Staff is also congenial and helpful. The business is open every day (!) and if you're short on time (or don't care to bother with it), they will pick up and return your computer (charge is nominal). Very reasonable rates and no hidden charges. Undoubtedly in time their competition will be "crushed". My old computer now runs like new. Will have my laptop "diagnosed" next. Happy I gave them a try. I was having alot of trouble with my computer as I needed to change my email and could not get the programs to transfer, called PC Simplicity and they said to bring it over. John and Casey did a wonderful job fixing the problem. Boy KC is good. He helped me take advantage of Black Friday sales to build a sweet computer. I bought what he told me to and they were shipped to me.
