I don't usually write reviews, but the service I received at this GameStop was appalling. I was trying to buy a birthday gift for my son, and my evening was ruined by the most unprofessional employee, named AJ, that I had ever met. I wanted to inquire about a new Pokémon game and was requesting for a sealed copy of the game since the one on the shelf was marked new but it was already unwrapped and as a present I didn't want to give my son something already opened. The employee AJ actually told me that it was new and that if I wanted it that was it. I explained that it was for my son's birthday and he responded with "he is going to open it anyways!" All while still sipping on his drink, yes he is drinking this big cup of soda and speaking to me while still having the straw in his mouth! Very unprofessional and he seemed to be more concerned with his closing duties. At the end, as I became upset and was asking him to cancel it, he decides to now offer a brand new sealed copy, this was in plain view behind him the entire time I was asking for a sealed copy, and since I continued to walk out I overhead him saying to me to "have a wonderful night b*tch". I will report this horrendous customer service to corporate and would recommend you never go through a similar experience by shopping at this Gamestop! I just really have a thing against Gamestop. I guess the location is practical at Jess Ranch, hell I come here more often than I ever wanted with my son to trade in or purchase games. It's always a rip off, they have seriously offered him 40 cents for playstation 3 games before. The most you can really get for new $60 games is about $14, and they sell em for $55 then, it gets my blood boiling really. Gamestop reminds me of a mini Walmart, scuzzy, a bit dark and musty smelling and there is never a quiet moment. Always some kind of insane people watching and off the wall convos that I don't even wanna be hearing about. Service is slow, I dread coming here everytime, but I guess I'll have to deal with it for another couple years...The things you do for your kids.... read more

Christmas is around the corner, my grandson says all he wants is a Nintendo Switch he's been asking for one since last year. We went to Target in hopes they would have one, just as we figured no luck. So we kind of made up our minds we would wait for Cyber Monday. As we were leaving the parking lot we saw a line outside of this store. I said well we have nothing to loose. As I waited in line I even downloaded the GameStop app. Even there it was showing no Switches available A young man came out and started handing out the sales paper. I asked him specifically for this item. He stated he wasn't sure if any were left but would go in and double check. It took him awhile to come back out, but he did tell us there was one left!! I asked him his name, he told me Dom!! That is his name DOM!! As we continued to wait to get inside, he came back to us to let us know the box is at the cash register waiting for us. Once, we got inside we found the other items we wanted, and went to the register to pay. Over an hour waiting outside, and less then 10 minutes inside. I am the mom of two boys. Boys play video game and that means mommy has to go to gamestop and ask dumb questions when she is looking for presents. I needed a usb memory stick for my sons Xbox 360 and of course I had no clue what I needed. They were so nice and helped me find what I needed quickly. The employees here are so sweet and even though they are young they really seem to enjoy their job. I prefer coming here over going to best buy because I am never ignored or told to settle for something that I didn't want to buy. If a new game is going to be released they normally offer a special if you preorder. My oldest son is always telling me to preorder his xbox games at GameStop so he can get extra little things. Came in to buy a used controller for the PS4 and was shocked to see the price. It's just a few dollars less than a new one. Also BestBuy price matches on Amazon which is only $52.00. im giving a 2 star because in the past i had good service but the bad service i got really killed us from ever buying from game stop i had pre ordered a game i was very excited for the little add on you get for the pre order i paid it off a week in advance and one the day it came out i came in to pick it up well when i had spoke to the man i believe to be a manager he gave me the game but not the added book he told they had no more and that i should have came the night prier i told i wish i could but i was working the woman working with him found a book but then he said he cant give that to me a costumer asked to hold it i asked did he pay for the game like i did cause that was the whole reason we wanted to get the game he said since he called and asked for it before i came in he had to give it to him. I was pretty sad but understood so i left and told my husband he didn't understand so he called and they told him they had a bunch of the books to come down (we live 30 min away from the store a bit annoying ) that manager did not apologize for the inconvenience and was very irritated towards my husband i was very put off by the whole thing we are using amazon for pre orders now and our other games. read more

I usually love most Gamestop locations, but the one in Jess Ranch store is terrible. The red headed albino girl doesn't even look you in the eyes, just stares at her computer and talks at you like you're non-existent. You won't even get a smile out of her, it's almost like she's been computerized. The rest of the employees quote prices on the phone that upon coming in, were 50% less than what I was quoted. Most employees have no idea about alot of the top games. Seriously where do you guys hire these people from? friends/family?? Find some employees with a passion and enthusiasm for gaming. If I wanted to talk to a robot I'd just order from my computer instead. I've spent thousands on thousands at Gamestop but I'll never go back again. I'll do digital downloads for now on instead. read more
