So I purchased one online for $25. Big mistake. I tried to update my xbox one, but the adapter wasn't strong enough to update myxbox. It kept turning off. I've decided to go into the Game Stop in Victorville Mall because i was around the area to see if i can pick up my online order.  I've purchase a few games online for the system i will be getting for my boyfriend as a gift for this year Christmas. I arrived inside without a greeting. I do understand they are pretty busy with a person on the phone and no other cashier in plain view until a longer line build up.  I was helped by a guy wearing a black t-shirt with a necklace and spiky hair which he looked Hispanic 5'8 or 6'0 tall.  I did the purchase online for an Xbox one sea of thieves, nioh on PlayStation 4 along with kingdom hearts 3 games. He showed me the games that i requested, but only one of the game was still in its original packaging which is the kingdom hearts 3. I then informed him that i no longer wanted 2 of the items except for the kingdom hearts since one was a generic cover and the other was open stock. He informed me that he was unable to sell me all the items. Then he cancelled my whole order without my consent to cancelled all of my items. He brought someone higher to talked to me which i believed is the store manager or assistant manager. I told the higher up that the guy had cancelled my whole order without my consent. The person who was the higher up did not want to adjusted or fixed what the other person mistake of my purchase. So i decided to repurchase the item since no where on there website has never quoted anything about price adjustments in store with online prices. Plus the guy who helped me cancelled my whole order when i told him that i do not want 2 items of the 3 I'd purchase.   Even though i got the kingdom heart deal for only a little bit over 15 bucks. Once the order was cancelled they try to make me pay for the higher price. I've requested that they honor my price that i purchased it for, but to no avail.  I am unsatisfied and disappointed at their customer services that i received today, and guarantee that i will stay away from this store.  The whole employees at this Game Stop was  unprofessional and rude. A good amount of them do not wear their name tags around their neck, and also did not offer me a discount for the open stock item or generic.  Plus no notification was given to me about my order until its is already to late. I had to go inside twice and they all still give me bad customer service. Its better off they closed down this location.  I decide to go to another Game Stop location which greeted me and answered my question politely. Which isn't connected to the mall. read more

I have been to this store several times. Of course, it was when I used to live in the High Desert region. There was ample of video games to choose from. At the same time, they were fairly priced. There were basic video games for consoles and computers! Without games, they were selling consoles, and other collectible items. So definitely, if anyone is in High Desert, I would recommend to stop by this store, and purchase some video games. Most of them are fairly priced! read more

My experiences began here several years ago after moving to Victorville. I have been to 3 of the local Gamestop stores and this one is by far the most superior in quality of service. At first they had a younger guy, he looked about 17 or 18, that had so much energy that it made me sweat. He could rifle off any and every detail related to the video game industry and was just overall fun to talk to. So I knew right away this store was interested in hiring people who were passionate about video games and could provide honest and fruitful information to the many mom's and dad's out there who just want to make their kids happy rather than picking up the ever-increasing video game duds out there flooding the market. These days, I run into Anna a lot. She seems to be in charge of things over there and has made the store my one-stop shop for games and accessories. I arranged to pick up my Xbox One and Playstation 4 on Black Friday, the year they were both released. She found me in the line of people and assured me I could find her and make the purchase at the register when they opened the door to the chaos. Months went by, and I picked up a game or two and she recognized me, even went as far as to recall my purchase with her and that made me feel very welcome. I've never really been loyal to any business, and there are Gamestops on the way that are much more accessible, but this particular store has really grabbed me. I won't go anywhere else. I've also learned that Gamestop employees really benefit from their customers filling out the survey on the receipt. You know, the one you throw away all the time and figure nobody reads it, and it is ultimately a waste of time. It isn't, they read it and it is more powerful a statement of your opinion than anything on Yelp could ever be, so take the time. If you're a fan of this store like I am, I highly encourage it, as Gamestop employees like Anna deserve to be recognized and their stores put on display to other Gamestops as a model for good service. read more

This place is great. Had reserved something at the other Gamestop on Bear Valley,wound up here by mistake. Not only were they super polite, they called the other store which actually didn't even have the item they said they had reserved for me. They actually called around until they found it in Irvine (ugh...) but so sweet and helpful. Store is very clean and well-organized and we wound up buying a Pokemon plush. They gave my son multiple free code cards for his 3DS game. They told us all about the events they have, really friendly staff!! Also near the excellent Thai Dawn!!! read more

Really good service! Desiree she was the best and super helpful. She is the store manager and she is going above and beyond to help! Only a few people were in the store so person limitations are enforced and there are sanitizers. Always look for Desiree though. We were in and out so it was pretty quick. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!I purchased a game card, at the time of purchase I ask the sales clerk there return police because I was not 100% sure I need the item (It was a gift) when I got home I was told we did not need it. Next day I went to return the item and was turned away. I was told I could not return my $60 unused item and the new clerk had no time to try and help. Also they would not exchange the item. I call this location at 7:57pm, after just coming out from the Gamestop down the street, which the very nice gentleman there at the Armagosa location said the gamestop at the mall showed on their computer they had the game we were looking for. He offered to call for us but we said we'd do it since he was very busy. I call and ask the sales associate if they have the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Wii, the Nickelodeon version. She said yes and then told me they closed at 8, which on google where I got the number to the store from, says they close at 9:00! She asked me how close I was and said she could hold it for me, which was cool of her... but that i need to hurry because they close at 8, and she'd wait 10 min. I asked her AGAIN to confirm if they had "the Teenage Mutant ninja turtles for Wii the Nickelodeon version." She said yes and I said I was 2 min away. I no joke ran in to the mall, in to the store which the girl at the door already knew who i was coming in, lol... and stood in line to only be told they had didn't have the game I asked and verified for. They had somw Smash version. Are they stupid? Change your hours on google. Also do not tell people you have a game that you do not, make them run over because your store closes a lot earlier than advertised then tell them no you dpnt have the game afterall. Called to ask if they had the Elgato game capture device, and a dumb chick told me they didn't have it and I had to record directly from my gaming system...then she abruptly hung up. Wtf? I called over to the Apple Valley store, and they didn't have it either but the guy was nice enough to search the other stores, and he found that there was one AVAILABLE AT THE STORE WITH THE DUMB CHICK! I was pissed and went to the store to confirm, and sure enough, it was there! I refused to purchase because of the dumb chick because I hate poor customer service. read more

I don't like how when you check the app they give a fare price. I took in a samsung tab4 on the app it says 50 bux so i take mine in it has some normal wear and couple if light scratches but it works fine.. so tell me why he said 27 bux for like new condition but i would only get 3 bux because mine is heavly damaged either way the system is all the way messed up i should've gotten at least 30 bux for the condition it is in. What ive notice about gamestop is its person your dealing with and for some reason thr price aren't the same at every store which doesn't make since either. read more

DO NOT buy any games from any game stop ever. I went to a game stop looking for one game and they ended up sending me to 4 different store through the city. I finally find the game and it's not function I called the customer service (4 times ) which is complete shit and they said all times they would call me back and they would even hang up on me . After finding my game, I proceeded to take my place in line where I stood and waited for over 10 minutes to be checked out with no customers in front of me so I finally walked up to the register so that I can pay for my one game and leave and I was told to take my place back in line because the employee at the cashier was helping a customer? In all reality, she made me stand and wait in a line with no customers for over 10 minutes just so that the customer she was supposedly assisting could go back into the store and take their time to look for another game while I stood and waited for absolutely nothing rather than proceeding to check out my one item. When I asked the employee for her name, she refused to give it to me. I will never return ever again after how rudely I was treated by this employee and for how uncourteous she was to the ONE PERSON standing in line. read more

Went there to pick up a game for my little brother while i was at the mall and I got extremely rude service. The clerk either didnt wanto help me or had no idea how to do her job. Not to mention that she was wearing inappropriate clothing that was too tight in too many places. I get you want to be cute, but children come to these places and you should look like a professional. Okay, usually I don't really care to leave a review, today changed that. I started by being talked into a PS4 slim. The gentleman let me know that it was a superior product than the original. Bought some games, decided it would be a great time getting back into gaming after a long pause. Get home and after the initial set up the system states it's over heating when trying to create a save space for a game. In a 65 degrees area on a cold glass table. Let it cool off, tried four times with the same result. No problem, console error, not their fault, though a superior product it was not. I decided to take it back and go with my gut instinct at get an Xbox One. Drove half an hour back to fix it with a game plan in mind. Get there, attendants are as helpful as possible and understand I want to just return. Get an Xbox one, let them know I want two 360 games to play on it and Fallout 4 (love the series). They check me out asap and bid me farewell 10 minutes before close. I get home turn set up the system and try the 360 games. Neither is backwards compatible for the system I let them know I wanted to play them on. The best part? Fallout 4 game isnt even in the box. I call them back they let me know I can pick it up the next day when they open. Honestly though at this point it will be two hours total drive time on my part for what was going to be an impulse buy that is no longer attractive. I plan on returning everything tomorrow and being done with gaming again. Maybe I will try playing an instrument or something. read more
