I'm not a gamer but my nephews are. Came in here Christmas Eve for some last minute stocking stuffer games and since i have no clue I approached a young lady by the name of Chelsea. She did a great job explaining to me the differences of the ratings for kids, what games go with what counsels and overall was very knowledgable and polite. Too crammed that it's too hard to get around when there are more than 10 people in the store. This seems to be a common theme with GameStops. They need to work on finding a good balance between inventory and floorspace. read more

The service here is the worst. I just wanted to buy one thing and i was in line with just one person ahead of me. The employee was taking a really long time helping the person in front of me and i was patiently waiting. Then, when it was finally my turn, the employee answers the phone and tells me to wait. The employee was on the phone just chit chatting with a customer after i had been waiting for like 12 minutes just to buy one thing. The employees here are rude and unprofessional and make it really clear that they aren't friendly or helpful and they just don't care. read more

Ok if you can get the membership then you'll save money. The place is clean, but the store off Ventura has more knowledgeable staff. It has lots of options that Walmart or target does not and much more used games. Happy gaming! read more

I try not to write reviews of chain stores (well not a lot, at least...) but I just had to give this place a little nod. Okay.... I should say... I am not some gamer. I use my PS3 for Blu-ray and for Netflix / Hulu Plus for the most part, since I don't have tv. Yes, the store is a bit small, but the customer service was fantastic!!! Anyway, so I was having trouble with my controller and unable to get the Hulu shows to play so I figured either the controller or USB cord might be bad as it is a few years old. So I bring them into the store and the guy working tests both of them for me. Now, I am suspicious by nature... so it would not be unheard of for a place to tell me my items are broken and sell me something just to make a sale (Yes. I have had this happen before so...) but no. The guy told me that both were working fine and offered me a suggestion as to what to try. While we were talking another employee came in and he was quite friendly and helpful as well. Honestly, if I played games, I would go there for my shopping. And if I am in the market and looking to buy one as a gift, I would definitely give them my business. read more

I wish this branch was located in an area of the mall that sees a lot less foot traffic. As it stands, moms just drop their kids off here while they go onto Sephora or whatever. The worst is when a dude walks in with a stroller. Really? Is this the sorta place where there's enough space for a stroller? Do you have to park the stroller *right* in front of the used DVDs section? While we're at it, would you mind asking your child to stop screaming? On the real, the staff at this location is hit or miss. Most (possibly all) of the employees are very friendly and knowledgeable about their products and availability. It can be annoying when they focus their attention to the parent in the store that yells and demands the most rather than the single dude that's been waiting patiently in line. Oh, I guess the demanding mom should go first, since she's got a kid. If possible, visit a Gamestop location that's *not* in the mall. You'll probably get a more fairness-focused staff. The parents that bring their kids are probably not stopping off "on the way" to somewhere else, so they won't be so aggressive and impatient. read more

The last 2 times I pre ordered from this place, when I went to pick up the games, they claimed both times that I never pre ordered them and that was it, "sorry, bye." Shame because I used to shop from here all the time, but it seems like it's really gone down in quality. read more

My 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter went crazy in here and not really so much for the gaming stuff but for the cool novelty toys that they had like princess plushies, ROBLOX, teen titans legos, 5 nights of Freddie etc. my son basically made his Christmas list in this store. read more

Typical gamestop chain. Nothing special or note worthy other then overpriced used copies of games and occasional deals on clearance swag they didn't sell during launch. Surprised they still exist inside malls with how expensive the rent must be. Lie to customers to sell there warranty. Don't buy there warranty it's trash. Employees who work there offer no solutions.

Poor customer service not only at this location but company wide. My husband bought a switch on a deal last year for Black Friday. Online Bundle where you get a switch and a $50 Gamestop giftcard (portrayed as a physical giftcard) plus $20 Nintendo E-store credit. He had made numerous trips to the physical store including this location and Northridge Mall location and called and emailed into customer support several times with the same message. Basically everyone kept telling him that they were backlogged and will get it to him. In other words, kept giving him the run-around. He's been a loyal customer since they were FuncoLand and a long-term Power Up Rewards member. I'm really disappointed at how unhelpful the customer service was. It doesn't matter if you are a good customer and spend thousands of dollars here - you will still be treated poorly like you are wasting their time. Basically we have been ripped off by $50. I would recommend you buy elsewhere like Amazon or Best Buy where you will actually receive some real service. read more

i would like to share my experience of gamestop.com no specific location. i shopped online. i bought a nintendo switch for $284, not cheap. Well, i got the email that my package had been delivered, yet when i opened my door there was nothing there. i called gamestop immediately and let them know that my item didnt actually show up at my door. so they filed a claim and started an investigation, which was promptly denied. an investigation that consisted of asking the mailman if he delivered the package. of course he said he did. but did he really? where is my package at? dont you tthink that delivering something of such a value should require a signature upon delivery? it didnt. gamestop will not take responsibioity for this lazy ass delivery and i am out of $300 because of their negligence. they said theyb dont cover that! well why should i? the bottom line here is that i gave them $300 for a product they were supposed to deliver and they failed, now they wanna bow out and have nothi g to do with it when somethimg goes wrong. if i had chosen the delivery method that dropped the ball, i would have taken responsibility for it but i had no say so in how my package was delivered. THEY chose. they probably chose the cheapest easiest way. and thats what i got...a cheap easy lazy non delivery! and suddenly gamestop wants nothing to do with it. ill tell you how they wasted no time taking my money!! i will NEVER do business with gamestop again. they reek of laziness, inconsideration, and grease. read more

Horrible service. Staff is very unhelpful. I bought a controller online on 12/27 and it came in the mail 01/03. I wanted to exchange it to a different controller on 01/04. They said it has to be 7 days. I have the receipt and everything. Yet they said I have to either return it with exactly the same accessory. Or they'll exchange it if it is 7 days... 12/31 and 01/01 are holidays and they're Saturday and a Sunday. They said "that's not our problem". Really????? Bullcrap. Unhelpful. I have been going too GameStop since I was kid never in my whole life have I had such bad service from sales Associate: Danielle and Manager Joseph. I came in to trade in a switch game: Skyrim for store credit too trade for the original Nintendo DS games for my girlfriend. Danielle was very lazy sketchy and not knowledgeable about any question asked about games she could barley open the cabinet so I can look at them. She only gave me 20$ towards Nintendo DS games for 2 pre owned $10 games. When I refused to do the deal she suckered me into getting the GameStop membership saying I will get more money towards games that day. When reality I only got $5 more. She also never mentioned it cost money for the memebership which was an additional $15. She also sounded very sketchy when adding my info and games in saying she accidentally billed me for a DS animal game which she lied and said was worth the same amount of money for my switch current game. When she billed me for 3 DS games of $60 I said how is this possible. She said too bad you have too pay it now you signed the contract. I refused and asked to speak to a manager. Them Joseph came in and said he heard her tell me it cost money for the membership when he was been on a break in the back room the whole time or outside the store. Another lie. Then when I told them I'm going to contact corporate and I was walking out he said fine we can cancel your membership. That Danielle said she could not do. He canceled the membership and refused to give my game back. And forced me too take 2 LEGO Star Wars Nintendo DS games that are worth $5 each. So now I will never come back to this GameStop ever! read more

Bought a motion stick for ps3, the guy didn't tell me it wasn't a brand new one. I had checked the price at Walmart and Amazon and the bran new was around 23, and when he told me it's 24 , I was like not a big deal for a buck.
