I stopped by this BoxLunch location inside Westfield Topanga mall yesterday to look at their tshirts and Dragonball figures. When I walked inside a worker greeted me and told me about their deal going on. They didn't have much tshirts selection in the store but some Dragonball figures I saw on display. Employees are always so friendly and helpful, they have a great selection of products throughout the store. Everything is very organized and clean. Great prices they also sell sales on a regular basis . My teenage daughter loves this store. read more

OMGosh! I love this store!! It's so fun! I bought several gifts there because they had buy one get one half off. The store was very clean. The music was playing good music and the two people that were working were really cool. They were finding us everything we needed and since my daughter was there Calton & Faith were there to make sure they quickly got and hid the gifts I was buying for her without her knowing. They were joking and everyone in the store was having fun. I bought two Mickey Mouse denim Mickey Mouse jackets. I put the denim jacket on. Because it looked so good a person bought one and another wanted one but they were sold out. When Faith asked who helped them that day they said I did because it looked so good on me she wanted one. Everywhere I went I got compliments in the Mall. Faith & Calton made every customer feel wanted. I love Box Lunch! I've been buying for years from them. They have many Disney items. The manager, Nick has a TERRIBLE attitude. Absolutely does not know how to talk to people and every time I come in when he's working there are boxes and merchandise everywhere. Based on the reviews I guess this location loves to hire terrible managers. Just go to Northridge lol they have a better selection anyway. If I could give this place negative starts I would. The customer service is terrible. The employees are super rude, they're not helpful at all and are incredibly snotty. They follow customers around and have absolutely no concept of what personal space is. I shop at the Northridge box lunch weekly and always have the best experience but this store is terrible they need to retrain their employees. read more

WOW FACTOR! Had my first experience at this location today and walked out super happy thanks to the manager Taylor! Went in to return a purse I got from a different location for my daughter and ended up walking out with gifts for all my little ones. Taylor was very knowledgeable and she turned a stressful day of shopping into a great shopping experience. The store was packed and she still made sure to go running to the back to make sure she had what I wanted. This box lunch is the only location I'll be visiting from now on thanks to the customer service I got. It's crazy how a little bit of kindness can go a long way and make someones day read more

Had the WORST customer service experience here. I was shopping for a gift for my girlfriend and was happy to find a shirt but left the store with the worst taste in my mouth and a strong urge to return the gift. The taller male named Seikma wearing a bucket hat didn't understand what personal space was and never said excuse me while reaching for items in front of me. He even pushed some folded clothes too far and knocked a mug off the shelf in front of me but I caught it before it hit the floor. He was very erratic and just carried a negative energy with him. When I was ready to be rung out I made my way to the counter and he glanced over and turned away without acknowledging me. After a minute he turned back around and asked if I had an account. Having not shopped at a BoxLunch in more than 5 years I provided a phone number so he could check. He stated I didn't have an account and I replied there was no need to create one since I don't normally shop there and don't care for the points/rewards. He became fussy and stated "You're already halfway there, what's the email?" Again I stated I won't be returning to the store and there was no need in a polite way. He then asked in a disgruntled way "Can I ask why not?" as if he needed to validate my reason. Again I stated I won't be returning to the store. At this point he became personally offended and threw the receipt in the bag and literally pushed the bag towards me to where it almost fell off the counter while wearing the most disgusting face. Absolutely unacceptable. I left saying thanks and have a good day because I will not lower myself to this pitiful persons state of being. He has no business working in customer service and corporate really needs to look into his behavior. read more

Hands down the best customer service In the Mall. Amy and her team are always so happy, helpful, and knowledgeable an all the nerd questions. Their inventory is fully stocked and if there is an item they do not have.. she tries her harder at to try and help. I love the brand and what it standbut I come back for the customer service. As I was shopping for my kids , I sneezed yes I was wrong I kneeled over,moved my masked over so I could sneeze,also made sure there wasn't anyone near me .Bree came over & in a Condescending manner began Lecturing me on how I should sneeze I was in shocked then she kicked me out of the store " get out of my store" she repeated her self & then said I was rude. From what I've read, it seems as though there is an attitude problem with the employees who work here!!! Today was no exception!!!! My fiancée and I went in to shop for a gift for her niece and it seems both employees working there just fit the bill of having a careless "let me work and leave me alone" attitude. We didn't bother to ask for a gift receipt because it should've been offer, ESPECIALLY when we mentioned this is a gift!!!! I don't like leaving bad reviews especially about places I like to shop, but their behavior towards us WASN'T NECESSARY!!! I experienced the worst customer service in my life!!!! Taylor the manager was so rude . I placed an order and paid for it a week ago and never received a phone call nor an email to inform me it was ready. I called this week for it. I notified the Store I was coming for it. when I arrive today the bag my order was placed in was in the trash and my order was placed back on the shelf. It had literally just been canceled and asked for an explanation and the manager refused. I asked for a store, managers name, and she refused again. I asked for a corporate number or a number I can get in contact with upper management to complain about my experience, and she refused to give it to me. The manager Taylor kept saying she couldn't disclose that information and that it was in her problem that I didn't pick up my order on time and it was canceled.i will never shop there again . I love this store. Was so glad when they expanded their locations to include this one and Northridge. Really this store is just a nicer hot topic, which is great since I love hot topic. Hot topic is their parent company after all. You walk in and it's like Nerd Heaven in terms of toys, collectibles and awesome tees. I walked in today and saw a shirt for Springfield Isotopes and Pawtucket Brewery, which appeals to me as a huge fan of Simpsons and Family Guy. Star Wars. San rio. You name it, they have it. Plus the employees are always friendly and helpful. I only knock off a star because of the price. The Springfield isotopes shirt I mentioned was $32.90. I really liked it but I can't justify that price. Even with the deal or buy one get one 30% off, it's expensive. Id shop a lot more if the prices were better. read more

Beware of lame corporate return policies. Especially if you are buying gifts this time of year. Bought my daughter a Star Wars speaker, but the speaker was horrible. Attempted to return, but could not get a refund because it was opened. Bad product, but can't get my money back because it was opened? How would I know if I didn't open it!! I had the receipt too. Super lame. Was able to get a store credit fortunately but it really Upsets me that I have to buy something else in the store and not a refund. I would be very cautious before buying anything here. Went in and was going to leave without shopping here. Then as I finished browsing, two teen girls came in without masks. They were politely informed that they're supposed to wear a mask in store. They threw a fit and informed that they would tell everyone what a terrible store it was and they hated it. The staff happily told them goodbye. I like that. Ended up making a purchase. The stuff is cute, but the staff is welcoming, helpful, and not putting up with silly people being silly. read more

I LOVE this place!! I also like the concept that as we are buying things we're helping feed someone in need. More importantly I love how it's not like hot topic, where it's completely black and slightly depressing after awhile being smothered by their long sales pitch and hoards of merchandise!!! It's open and inviting and you can really see the merchandise they carry!! Well organized you don't feel claustrophobic!!! They also carry kids clothes mostly to 5T but some youth sizes!!! I have no idea why but the girl who had blonde-ish red hair in a Ponytail kinda had an attitude problem when I was there at atound 4ish on September 27th 2022. I had asked her what an employee discount was and she made a rude remark as I was asking another employee this question. She snarkily said " Well you get over here cause I'm not shouting it over there to you." I don't know if she was having a bad day or what but that's not how you treat other people. And she also had attitude when I had asked her what the price on a Nightmare before Christmas item was and looked at me like as if I was stupid. Look I understand working retail isn't the most fun but it's not as if i was acting like a Karen to get this attitude from her. If you don't like your job then quit. Everything in this store is just So COOL. They honestly have a little bit of everything. So unique so different. You will definitely not find any of their Products at Hot Topic. We are huge Disney Fans and when we walk in here there is always something new we fall in love with. This time it was our Lucky Day. We got matching Jackets. "Members Only CARS 95". One for Daddy, Mommy, Toddler, Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle. Good thing we are DAPH. Cant wait to Rock these babies at Disneyland. I cant believe I almost walked away from these babies. Rachel , nice young lady stopped and went over the deal with us (me in shock) helped me out to find the right sizes and then rand me up :). She had a smile on her face the whole time. I was denied a return because it was Christmas item. I had the receipt and didn't remove any tags. At the buttom of the receipt it has clear details and dates of how long an holiday item could be returned/exhanged. The person didn't care. I won't be shopping here again. read more
