There were 2 customers and one store associate in the store when I arrived. One customer was being rung up and left about a minute after I arrived. The remaining customer was talking to the store associate about some game or something. He wasn't making a purchase at the moment. Still as I walked to look at the displays near the cash register to be absolutely certain that I was seen - the store associate didn't acknowledge me. Not once. Not a hello, a nod, a I'll be with you in one second. Nothing. Oh well. I'll just go to Target now. This is close to my job so I was hoping that I wouldn't have to stop anywhere else. Hopefully after my business entry gets approved and this Game Stop location is on Yelp I'll come back to do another review. The clearance items such as shirts and accessories were clearly marked. But the store could've been neater. Also the PS4 game station wasn't on. So how can someone play a game if the display is off?? Come on Game Stop Associates - you never know when a Yelper is going to enter any of your locations. The store was organized like any other Game Stop location I suppose. Until next time...

I don't blame them for shutting down but the problem is that not all locations were shut down but the higher-ups at Gamestop had completely bungled my pre-order. When they first shut down I attempted to call the customer support to find out what would happen to my preorder but their wait time was ridiculously long, I spent 8 hrs across three days on hold waiting to speak with someone. I also tried emailing but never got a response and they did not provide an option to leave a call back number so I had to spend the entire time with them on speaker while I waited. Once I finally spoke to someone they said they could not transfer my order to pick up at another store or just have it mailed to me and I was pretty much SOL until the Security location opens, whenever that will be. 2 days later I finally get a separate email from Gamestop addressing peoples pre-orders and essentially because I didn't finish making payments on my preorder then I might, extra emphasis on "might", receive another email from Gamestop with the option to receive the money I deposited in the form of a Gift Card and I can just order the product form their website. The problem with that is 1. At the time of writing this, its been 5 days and I still have not received that email and I have no idea if I will because again they said maybe I will get it and maybe I won't, and 2. even if I did get the gift card, the collector's edition is not available for online order. They also mention that I can try waiting until the Security location re-opens to get my pre-order but they cannot guarantee the collector's edition will be available.

After walking around two people seated on the stairs, I was greeted right away. I looked around the store and found additional objects of interest, including some cute things for back to school. When I told her what book I was looking for she said "oh" while rolling her eyes a lead me to it. She handed it to me and started walking away while I was thanking her for her help. I could feel the attitude radiating off of her because of my book choice. I laughed it off and continued to browse a bit more. Eventually we got in line behind another customer. The same elderly woman opened another register to assist the customer in front of us. Naturally we started looking at the products that are in the check out area while we waited. The customer that was in front of us had an issue and left so it was our turn. The elderly woman proceeded to wave over the female customer behind us and she said that we were in front of her. We kindly insisted that she just go ahead and check out and we'll wait for the other employee further down. Then the elderly woman rudely said "come on, put your stuff here" and then decided to tell the customer behind us that the line starts where she's standing and that there should be blinking red lights signally that the line starts there. At that point it was VERY clear that she had an issue with us because of the book we were purchasing and tried to insinuate that we were stupid. Fine, you have a personal opinion but you are at work and are supposed to be providing good customer service regardless of your personal opinions. At no point were we rude or passive aggressive so her attitude was very uncalled for. Feeling done with the situation, I handed her my book and she hurried through our interaction. We kept our cool and were respectful, she asked if we wanted a bag and we declined and then she gave us our receipt and I told her to have a blessed day and once again talked over me. They have more employees than customers and dozens of empty aisles I suppose in transition from the Christmas holiday close outs to the next holiday products yet to be fully put out (Valentines Day and St Patrick's Day). The post office wouldn't take it. I had to call the store and tell them they would have to sent a box. The post office here did this to me once before with sending a card that was pop up style and they told me it was too thick to be in an envelope. I had to spend $12 to $13 to send it out. It was more expensive than the card in it. After contacting the stole while I was at the post office we came to an agreement and they let me keep the cards. The associate helping me and my son was so patient and attentive even during a busy weekend. We traded a few cards for store credit and the gentleman appraising the cards was also very helpful. They were just as helpful to customers spending $100+ as they were to two young children who just wanted to talk about their own Pokemon cards.
