A few weeks ago I was back in the nutmeg and when I realized I was in the area, I made it a point to check this shop out once again. Strange enough, I now live in Los Angeles so I frequent the SoCal locations when I can and was stoked to see what this one had to offer. This shop has some arcade machines in the front, a very solid movie selection, retro toys for sale, and of course, a bunch of retro video games, accessories, and consoles to pick up if thats what you need. My current "looking for" list is pretty much just Gamecube games and Criterion Blu Rays, so I was super stoked to stumble across a copy of The Graduate when I didn't see any Gamecube games I was looking for. Like all retro stores, prices here can vary and can sometimes be good and sometimes be bad, things were pretty reasonably prices on this trip and I left a happy camper. Overall, Retro Games Plus is one of the better game stores in Connecticut and thanks to Game Exchange becoming a slop factory, definitely the best in this area. The staff here is knowledgable, the selection is great, and even if you can't find a game, you are sure to find something else when you stop by.

They even have arcades that are blast from the past that patrons come to play classic games on. Arthur is a good guy. They don't have too many kids films but those shelves are filled with mainly feature films for everyone of all ages. I like Retro Junk in Manchester better just because they have some really cool stuff that I think are eye appealing and are fun to browse there plus DVDs are somewhat cheaper there.

Went today and what a wonderful experience! I can not recommend it enough and my two year old had the absolute best time! If a manager or owner reads this, Drea helped us and dealt with three other customers in there all having issues and complaining and she remained calm, was courteous and professional, and went out of her way to make everyone a happy customer. They have a whole variety of colorful items that would attract any child or teenager. Their stationary section was nice, there looked to be a lot of nice pens, colorful pencils and crayons. There's certainly plenty of candy at Five Below. I think the name Five Below is misleading, there is a substantial amount of items that cost much more then $5, even more then $10. They have their own version of that very popular cup with the handle for $5. Five Below isn't a store I typically gravitate towards, you could find some fun, trendy items here.

This behavior made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome, to the point that we decided to leave without completing our shopping. If she was worried we were stealing she could at least be less obvious about it. I hope management addresses this situation so that all customers are treated with respect and made to feel welcome in the future.

No. They do it to convenience you. I have experienced it. Further, I had an armload of stuff yesterday. A staff member kindly brought me a basket b/c she saw it was a bit of too much to carry. I was pleased. Another great thing is that they let you use MULTIPLE coupons! I had a little over a hundred dollars worth of stuff, and I saved $30!
