Signed the thing not knowing I was scammed and when I looked at the receipt it was only 45 dollars. This location has liars for staff. No accountability. I'm a normal customer at Gamestop, I really do enjoy going in and checking everything out. And everyone is super friendly. But unfortunately my visit today almost made me feel like I should drive farther now if I need to go to gamestop. I called ahead to the main st lewisville location because this location wouldn't answer their phone. When I talked to the gentleman on the phone he was very helpful and told me I can trade my defective elite controller in when I purchase a new one. I said thank you so much and decided to try my luck at this location to see if they had any. I'm not sure what was going on with the store manager today but she had an attitude with me telling me that I need a box that it came in, and I told her this is what I was told. I don't like being lied to. And she said "I'm the store manager I'm not lying" in a very rude way. So If you are going to be rude to me expect the same results back to you. It's your job as a Store Manager to train YOUR employees yo give out right information. (I'm not mad at that) if she would have just told me politely this is how everything works and I'm sorry we can't help. I would have been fine and still bought another controller. Stopped by this location to just browse. I'm in the area on a work trip so I wasn't really here to buy any games but had some time to kill and wanted to see what used games they had. Walking into the store it looks like every other game stop I've been to. No surprise there. I was immediately greeted by a big guy and asked if I was looking for anything. Told him I was just looking and he went on to greet more customers. I cruised the store and looked at games then I came across a big wall of these pop figures. I'll be honest I'm not sure exactly what they are but I've been to a lot of stores that have tons of them, so they must be popular. I noticed that they make them for like every tv show, movie or comic character out there. My daughter was looking for these a while back but couldn't find any Riverdale ones. So I yelled over to the counter you guys have any of these for Riverdale? Then one of the employees named Amber looks it up and tells me what they have. Now it was obvious the Riverdale figures were not in front, the rows were like 3 deep. So I'm like damn, how am I gonna find this sh@t amongst all the other ones. Well Amber handled business and found all the ones they had in like no time at all and I picked a couple out and was on my way. She even offered to call the other store to hold more for me. I just wanted to check what time Gamestop opened and noticed there were a lot of unfavorable reviews of this location. I am a casual gamer. Like really casual. They really shouldn't be giving me the time of day when I go in as infrequently as I do. But they don't just give me the time of day, they're friendly and they take the time to answer my silly questions. They've called managers to price match things to save me a trip to somewhere else, and they do all this whether I buy anything or not. I'm not crazy about these national super-chains, but I have to say - this one is doing something right. The people who work here deserve some love. And they get some from this reviewer. So why not that fifth star? I don't know- I'm really stingy with that last star. I should probably just give it to them since everyone else is so liberal with it, but just giving it because everyone else does just cheapens the review. So I'll give this explanation instead. Very rude customer service from the "Store Leader" I came in to trade in my Xbox and he just stares at me and says "Well take everything out" so he could test it. Like ??? I didn't even know what to say, then he continues to just stare at me like an idiot while I take everything out and doesn't say a word. You're supposed to try and give the best customer service you have, not treat people with disrespect. Also talked to me like I was a child because I reset my Xbox instead of leaving all of my information on there so he could test it. I see how I did something incorrectly but also I don't need to be spoken to like a child. Learn how to be less patronizing. read more

Was just asked to leave the store and police called on me for questioning policy. Had a copy of NBA2K23 championship addition and wanted to exchange for regular copy and intended to purchase a Nintendo Switch OLED and few games. Stephanie the store manager said store policy is no returns/exchanges after 7 days, but no where on my receipt did it say this. I made a simple remark "that the receipt trumps a word document taped to her counter in a court of law", which we triggered her to raise her voice and not let me speak. She called the police, I got her name and walked outside and waited for the officer on call because I did not do anything wrong. Officer shows, I explained to him what happened and he said I had a point and triggered her by questioning her and said I was good to go. I do feel it did not help that I am a 6'6" Indian man, but I have now been on hold for 22 minutes with GameStop customer service and will see this through to a resolution. My days of doing business with GameStop are over, just spent $500+ at Target in what I was going to purchase at GS. read more

Super unprofessional and condescending staff. Asked a simple question about a game and was treated like I was stupid for not knowing. Shout out to Dillion for being bad enough at his job that I noted his name (poorly written on masking tape on his badge) Also, the store smelled weird and was very claustrophobic. I try to avoid going to Ga.estops because of their business practices, but ended going there dor thr first time in years because they were the only place nearby with the game I wanted to surprise my husband with. read more
