We were warmly welcomed, and the associate asked for the date of our event so they could let us know exactly when the suit would be available for pickup. My son was measured, helped with selecting a suit, and the associate helped to perfectly coordinated the colors. You pay when you place your order, and they accept both cash and credit cards. A few days before the dance, we picked up everything he needed: the suit, shirt, bow tie, shoes, and socks (the socks are yours to keep). Everything fit him perfectly and looked amazing. Returning the suit the next day was quick and easy. The price was very reasonable, and they gladly applied an online coupon I found before we came in. It's a store that uses the name to sell lower quality goods at what appears to be bargain prices. It's not as it seems. Their everyday 40-60% off retail represents true retail that's often at inflated prices even with the discount. Here's a great example: Their stretch 5 pocket jeans. The GAP sells nearly identical products for about $70 and discounts from there. J Crew Factory sells them for $159 less 60%. You do the math. Neither is even remotely close to actual J Crew quality either in construction or fabrication. It's inferior quality marked way above retail and discounted to what is still an inflated price. Can bargains be found? Probably, but you'll have to wait until the end of the season when markdowns are taken prior to being discounted. The whole concept is totally misleading and does nothing more than dilute their brand and fool the public.
