The replacement of the "s" for the "z" has always troubled my Germanic and grammatical sensibilities, but I can save that for a future post. The fact is, Just Boyz is well worth a visit, at least for half of the population. The brainchild of a husband and wife with three boys between them, this boutique is filled with clothes, toys, and accessories for the estrogen-challenged set. The store is comfortable to shop in with wide spaces and well-organized grouping of items. My son gravitated towards a dinosaur raincoat, and I just barely resisted the urge to buy him a tweed golf cap. We don't play golf, and we don't live in Victorian England. But it was just so cute. The merchandise is top quality, with prices to go with it. But this is a Mom and Pop storefront, supporting Mom and Pop manufacturers. The American in me wants to support this venture, perhaps in direct defiance of the Super Wal-Mart that is going to break ground just a mile away. There were sale racks, so you can take comfort in that. I urge you, though, if you have sons, grandsons, nephews, or are looking for a gift for a birthday party, please shop in the places where the CEOs have a modest mortgage payment and a dream to provide something new to the marketplace. Just Boyz does just that. Take a look. You won't be disappointed.
