They tend to only open on the weekends, but for crawfish season it's been Thursday-Sunday. I totally recommend their boiled crawfish! Currently it's $6/lb boiled, with every 5lbs complimentary 1 corn & 2 potatoes. I love to get their wicked flavor (garlic butter) and add a sausage link ($2). Their crawfish boil is seasoned well! They also sell fresh seafood based on season from oysters, shrimps, blue crabs, crawfish, snow crabs, etc.

The produce was well organized, and there were several employees restocking the shelves as we shopped. For this week, I wanted to get ingredients to make California rolls, Banh Mi, Beef Pho, Spring Rolls, and Hot Pot, and was able to find all of the ingredients I needed here except for the French baguette for the banh mi. However, since it's right across the street from an HEB, it wasn't a major inconvenience. We also picked up some pantry items like snacks, tea, and instant ramen, and they had a really good selection of items to choose from. Overall, I'm happy to have anotrrrhueuoyroyoutoutoor Asian grocery store in the Katy area to choose from, and the prices are comparable to 99 Ranch and Hmart. Since they recently opened, the store is not super crowded right now either so it's a great spot to do some weekend shopping for the time being!

It's close to Costco and H-Mart, and near H-Mart you'll also find Paris Baguette and Tous Les Jours. There's an 85°C nearby as well and with Costco right next door, you could easily spend half a day hopping between all these places. On weekends, traffic can be pretty crazy and parking isn't easy since everyone shops then. However, if you come on a weekday especially outside of lunchtime--it's much easier to find a parking spot. Inside 99 Ranch, there's a food court with options like San dong noodles, dim sum, stir-fry dishes, and Chinese barbecue. On the other side of the plaza, there are also several restaurants, including Korean spots and Vietnamese crawfish places. As for the store itself, there are always clearance items near the Kung Fu Tea area, which we usually check out before heading in to shop for fruits, produce, vegetables--pretty much everything. I found my favorite Japanese soy milk but this was banana flavored. Way too sweet for me and it was $4/carton. It's a large store and they offer a loyalty program. If it's your first time visiting 99 Ranch, you could easily spend an hour just roaming the aisles. There's so much to see--it almost feels like a little field trip every time we go.

The pieces were inconsistent in shape and thickness, and you can clearly see ragged knife work and excess connective tissue that shouldn't be there in a premium cut. A true filet should be clean, round, and tightly trimmed, but these looked more like end scraps pressed together rather than proper medallions. For the price of filet mignon, I expect professional butchering--not rough cuts that cook unevenly. Definitely not the quality I paid for, and I won't be purchasing this cut from here again.

This is my go-to place for my medicinal soups and ready-made traditional Chinese medicines (TCM 中藥) - all made by reputable companies. They have high end stuff I couldn't touch: birds' nest 燕窩, ginseng 人蔘, ganoderma 靈芝and exotic herbal medicines. Whenever I need anything for my house, I come to Hong Kong Seafood City because all merchandise is imported directly from the sources. I am never disappointed with the friendly staff's recommendation. They helped me decide for each occasion. The prices are always competitive and products are always fresh. Don't be misled by the category, this "seafood market" sells dried, frozen or canned seafood. Don't expect fish tank here.

I couldn't understand half the stuff bc they're not all labeled in English. It's a cool place to check out but nothing really I could buy except the tiger balm, moon cake sets, powder coffee/ matcha.....dried herbal stuff.
