This is a wonderful Venetian seafood restaurant in the Dorsoduro district. It's on a large square which is well populated with locals and visitors, and projects a very local feel. There is outdoor and indoor seating, and we sat outside on a lovely summer evening. There are 2 top tables, which the staff was happily rearranging to accommodate the different size groups we saw arrive as we ate.
The service was friendly, with everyone speaking English very well and explaining the details of the menu. We decided to start with cocktails (delicious Negroni and limoncello spritz) along with the mixed raw seafood appetizer. OMG! We hit the jackpot. The platter came with a scallop (large and cut into 4 pieces) and oyster (we asked for an additional one), 2 red shrimp, 2 prawns and a delicious tuna tartare. It was delicious.
For mains I had the pasta with seafood, and it was full of fresh delicious spaghetti with clams, mussels, calamari and the sweetest shrimp. It was wonderful. My husband had the grilled sea bream, which was the whole filet of fish, perfectly cooked, delicious moist and with crunch. We also had the mixed salad and grilled vegetables. Everything was so good.
They have a wine list, but when we asked, they do sell wine by the glass. A red and a white, and both were very good. We ended with a complimentary limoncello and left full & happy. read more
