My mechanic finally explained to me that the tires/rims are "low profile" - therefore highly prone to flats. I called Mazda to get help fixing this to a high profile. As will surprise NO ONE, the "service consultant" kept blaming ME for the problem, DEFLECTED ALL RESPONSIBILITY. And I PAID FOR THE ***** tire and wheel coverage. Yet one more company that deflects all responsibility. I worked with Derek Payne (salesman) and Ziya Alis (manager). During negotiation the Manager, Ziya, offered me free oil changes for one year and free inspections for 3 years. After the financing was complete he gaslighted me and said that he never offered that to me and would only honor the oil changes. The finance manager lied and said the deal was based on me financing with them which I never agreed to but I said if you could beat a rate I was getting elsewhere I would finance with them. The finance manager also tried adding additional cost which I found when reviewing the paperwork and gave me a problem when I told him to redo it. The car was supposed to come with a cargo cover ($250) but when I received the car it did not have it. The Manager, Ziya, told me because it was a Certified Pre-Owned that the car was sold as is and would not do anything for me even though we specifically spoke about the cargo cover previously. We saw Andri outside gave him a quick breakdown of what was going on and what we wanted, Andri told us come in and we will try and make it happen. He introduced us to a pretty new salesman named Federico who was one of the nicest, knowledgeable, caring sales rep! THEY GAVE US WHAT WE WANTED!!! I visited the Garden City Mazda Service center. When I pulled up, I was immediately asked to disconnect my dash cam. Although I did as requested, I can't imagine why I should have had to do so. What is it that I'm not supposed to see? So then I waited in the waiting area for a few hours. At the end, I found out the diagnostic fee alone for my visit was $450 (more than the parts and labor for the little work that I needed done). Outrageous! According to him, Mazda qualifies as a luxury brand -- which is how they justify demanding $9,000 down on a $33,000 Mazda 3 hatchback for a $430/month lease. That isn't a deal, that's daylight robbery. The second I raised the alarm on their predatory numbers, they wanted nothing more to do with me. Professional? Not even close. My car is on the lot for $42,675 like to know how I walk out paying $63,000.Now I signed the contract my fault. They keep you there wear you out. 9 hours to be exact. The young saleswoman ended up selling the car I had put a reservation deposit on and didn't even communicate that to me until we had tried for hours to get in touch with the sales staff/manager over the phone. I purchased a CX-90 from them on May 2, 2025 and they owed me the 2nd key and the EV charger (it's a plug-in hybrid) and it has taken almost a dozen phone calls/messages to get the key but I'm still waiting for the charger. Stay away from this dealership. They "negotiate" purchase of a higher feature build, then deliver a vehicle without those features. In other words, YOU believe YOU are getting a good deal, BUT you are delivered a Vehicle without the features they negotiate. Garden city Mazda does this by HIDING the Sticker- The Monroney Sticker required by LAW to be displayed. They require a $1000 credit card payment before they actually negotiate anything. They lie about everything and quickly have you electronically sign and do not explain anything on the lease. They HIDE the sticker at all costs. When I found the sticker- neatly folded and placed in the manual, I Called ERICK LOPEZ the salesperson, HE said management would call me BUT NEVER have. This dealership has a D- rating from the BBB. My daughter and I went looking for a vehicle to replace her Hyundai. We dealt with Gabriel our experience was outstanding. Gabriel took the time to run numbers to fit into my daughter's budget. We look at the CX30 new and also the CPO. We ended up with the CPO. The only drawback would be the time we spent there about 5 hours. At the end of the day all parties walked away satisfied. Then we put down a deposit for a car, where he didn't check if they actually had the title for. They didn't. Adrien had already put the new car on my insurance. When I mentioned the insurance, the salesman then said he woudl take care of it right away. He didn't, I had to check with my insurance to find out that I was driving without insurance due to a salesman who didn't do what he said he was going to do. Half a year later and I still think of what a crook the salesperson here was. I think his name was Matt? White male with brown hair. Tried to sell me a car as if it was fine; didn't tell me about the multiple HUGE scratches in multiple areas until I got there even after I asked on the phone if anything was wrong with it. Then tried to tell me dealership fees in the thousands is normal, and said the two dealerships next door charge $7k and $10k for their dealership fee. But different management with dishonest, rude management and staff eager to rip off whoever and however they can without conscience. they substituted a "Premium" cx-5 that I agreed to buy at greater cost with a "preferred" cx-5 (worth less money without the agreed features ) in the final 5 minutes of a 4 hour waitat closing time. They would not correct the problem despite my realization/complaint within 12 hours. These guys are smarmy, patronizing crooks that take advantage of honest but less savvy single, older women with disabilities. Went Memorial Day weekend 5/2022. Met with disappointing inventory and salesforce. He didn't introduce his name when we arrived. Started discussing numbers even BEFORE the test drive. Refused to price out any model- sales person said there was none in stock and dismissed us. They seemed rather proud that they have low/no inventory and x person paid $5-6K over MSRP. 2022 Mazda CX-5 only 1 in stock with premium or premium plus (base 33-34k). Plus MSRP markup of $4,000. The 2023 CX-50 available was only premium plus (base 36K) with also $4,000+ markup. Low inventory with crazy mark-up. Our car salesman Jared T was excellent. He was honest and honorable and whatever he said was exactly what happened. He was able to make a very specific request happen and ended up owing us back after it was all said and done. He was friendly and made the process much easier. I don't leave reviews. But this experience takes the cake. Tl;dr - after waiting 4.5 hours to test drive a car I had an appointment for, I was told the price was $2k higher and after 45 minutes of negotiation attempts to get it back down to the advertised price, I was then told they don't even have the title but would sell it to me anyways, still at a higher price than advertised. --- I scheduled a test drive for a CPO vehicle less than 24 hours in advance - so you would think it's going to be fully ready. When I arrived, they said the vehicle was in the shop. 4.5 HOURS LATER, I was able to test drive the vehicle. It had many scratches and 2 chips in the windshield. I told them they would need to fix the windshield first and foremost, and then I'd like to talk about pricing so I can afford to fix the scratches. They told me that actually, if I read the fine print, the real price is $1995 higher than the "internet price" because the internet price reflects a $1995 "downpayment." I told them that of course I read that fine print in advance, but I assumed the downpayment would work *towards* the internet price, not be in addition to it. Because that's the definition of a downpayment. They disagreed. Before I move on from that point: There is a literal difference between a "down payment," which works towards the total price, and this situation, which could only be defined as an "additional payment." As they "tried to explain it to me," they said that *once you pay $1995,* THEN your price is the internet price. But to be clear about how shady this is, their site literally shows a "retail price," (which is higher than KBB, by the way), then a "savings," then an "internet price." So logically speaking, if their "internet price" is only accurate *after* you've paid the extra $1995, then that extra $1995 should be subtracted from the savings amount. But they don't show that anywhere, and just say in the fine print that the internet price is reflective of a $1995 down payment, which I logically assumed meant you'd get the internet price if you were willing to at least put down $1995 towards the overall price. How do I know how it should be written? I'm a professional advertising copywriter, and I know that this technique is a classic definition of false advertising. They think they covered their butts with the fine print about a down payment, but their math equation that shows retail price and savings is the nail in their coffin of unethical communication practice. Compounded by the fact that that's NOT what a down payment even is, by definition. SO THEN, after we negotiate for 45 minutes for me to get the price back down to their advertised price (when actually I think it should be lower than that), and they only budged by a few hundred dollars, they confess that actually they don't even have the title and can't legally sell the car for a few more weeks. What does that mean, I ask? It's normal, they say. When can they sell, they ask? They don't know exactly, they say. How could we legally strike a deal today, I ask? We'll figure it out, they say. Even then, I tried to get them to meet me in the middle and they stuck to $500 past the middle. We're only $500 apart, they said. That's entirely your problem, I said. Turns out they're very committed to their unethical ways. I had to just get up and leave, and call the whole day a wash at some point after 6p --- 7+ hours after I first arrived to test drive the car at my scheduled time. If they called me tomorrow, I'd be back to the advertised price. Even getting me to go up slightly was a swindle on their part. Next stop: bbb read more

This place is the slimiest place to lease/buy a car. Went through the whole process of going through the numbers and what not until the fat bastard of a financial manager tried to hiding numbers on us. We caught him red handed and he gave us free oil changes basically until the end of the lease which was a plus. It doesn't stop there though. I went to get my second to last free oil change 2 weeks ago and while the car was being serviced, the sales guy came out and told me I need new pads, rotors, and an alinement. I literally laughed in the dudes face because this prick tried to get me to spend 800 bucks for no reason. NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR. He mad it sound like my car was going to explode if I didn't do anything. I confirmed he was scamming us when I brought my car to a family mechanic who told me the brake pads can go another 5,000 miles and the rotors were completely fine along with the alignment.
