I love family style dining. Dropped in for a late dinner with my sister and friend. Started off with drinks and an appetizer. AHI TUNA NACHOS. Personally my fav when available at any restaurant. Here's what sets it apart here... they season their fried wonton chips. Nicely seasoned and drizzled with aioli. Tuna pieces came cubed and fresh. PIZZA. Firestone oven fresh and delicious. We had the hazel dell mushroom pizza. Delicious! Creamy garlic ricotta adds additional earthy flavor to the roasted mushrooms. Dough was thin, the way I like, and had that wood fire char. BRUSSEL SPROUTS. Non-traditional. I'm used to the typical bar food style bacon pieces with roasted sprouts but these were in miso cashew cream. It appeared the cream was cooked in. At first sight, it looked like balsamic glaze. Overall service was good. Joey was very attentive.

One of the few weekday lunch options at the Gaylord Rockies. They offer solid and healthy options. I got the mushroom broth and the pear and fig pizza. The mushroom broth was very good. It had a mix of different types of mushrooms and even some fried crispy mushrooms to pair with the mushroom soup. It felt healthy and hearty. The pear and fig pizza was more like a crispy flat bread. It was very thin and crunchy. The flavor was decent but the crust was too crunchy to eat. Overall service was on the slow side but good was good for a weekday lunch. The interior had a nice vibe.

We were invited to DIA Gateway Marriot (Aurora) for and extravaganza; and it was "Stunningly Spectacular!! From our Welcoming host, Matt to each interaction with Hostess, Wait Staff and the Chefs' selection of epicurean gastronome!! First, driving onto the luxurious palatial grand entrance, through the marble and stone flooring, fountains and high ceiling pendant lights, which glowed through the extended expansive glass doors. This Marriot, is a castle upon its' own Island. Gliding through to the descending stairs and restaurants; I was reminded of childhood European Castles twirling in the clouds. We dinned at Garden & Grain, tables set for six, meeting other Yelp Super Stars as our Host Matt, Wait staff delivered our sumptuous evening delicacies from Marriott's Chef/s and Sous Chefs. Everyone greeted us with poise and delight! OUR DINNER!!! Meals fit for only Queens and Kings! Never to be forgotten. Tian ~ poised and softly spoken, one of many who managed our dazzling evening. One cannot state the magnificence in words to our menu. The pictures tell their stories, and nothing was left, not even a scrap for the kitchen's back kitties; none would be attending this night. Somewhat "a norm of any great kitchen's backdoor. I wish to copy a photo of the splendid Marriott, yet Colorado offered torrential rains this evening! The Marriott abides upon its own island in "Majestic Splendor!" Thank you, Matt, Marriott for hosting us, Edd ~ Veronica, Rodger my dinning companions!! Unfortunately some photos were left out

We returned the following night for dinner & this time the food impressed. There were drinks & wine all around. This time there was an order of the Skuna Bay Salmon served over green curry just screaming goodness, cooked to perfection; the ancient grain risotto very tasty as described by the eater; & an order of the lettuce warp with steak, mouth watering yumminess. There was not a morsel to be had! We tried their chocolate mousse - just delicious. The service was a little off as they seemed blown out, yet staff helped each other out here & there. Ambiance is casual, moderately noisy. In short, try other items & you just might be impressed, we were.

The Gaylord is such a nice hotel and this restaurant is nestled right in the center of it. It's brightly lit which I like. It's got a very nice decor and I especially love the elegant look of the bar with the unique row of chandeliers above it. We ordered the lettuce wraps which was so yummy! I've had lettuce wrap before, but this is by far my favorite. We also got the mushroom pizza and the Caprese pizza and both were well made and very tasty. Everything tasted fresh. My friend got some Moscato wine and she said it was good. Our server Peter was also very good. Great meal and experience.

I made dinner reservations for our group of 6 at the reception desk. Our table was ready when we walked down to the restaurant. Our server was friendly and took our orders quickly. We had a combination of drinks, appetizers, and entrees. I tried the lettuce wraps with ground turkey, the pear and fig pizza, and the mushroom broth. I thought the $9 price tag on the broth was high until I saw the bathtub sized bowl come out. I wish the broth was hotter. It was room temp when served to me and I had to wait 5 mins for the server to bring me a spoon. The pizza was delicious with a thin, chewy but still crispy crust, plenty of pear chunks and whole halved mini fig pieces. We had high hopes for the lettuce wraps, but unfortunately none of us enjoyed them. The jam was a little strange, sweet and spicy combo, and without it the turkey wrap was a little bland. It's definitely personal preference, but I would've preferred a soy sauce or peanut sauce instead. The restaurant itself is bright and inviting with light wood tones and warm yellow lighting.

    G+G salad - so good

We ate at Garden and Grain a couple times during our stay at the Gaylord because we loved, loved, loved the food. The food is not only healthy, locally sourced and fresh, but delicious and artfully plated. The dining room is upscale and gorgeous. The ceilings are high with beautifully tiled. Seating is comfortable and it is easy to have a conversation. We shared the G&G salad at every visit. The salad is huge with fresh greens, fennel slices, carrot and pomegranate. We also had the Brussel sprouts app, the sprouts are served on a bed of cashew miso hummus, which is delicious. Chili crunch's added flavor and texture. We also tried the Blistered Shishito pepper dish which was huge with roasted peppers with chili crunch. The dish was easily shareable. I had the Burrata and Heirloom Tomato Bowl as a main during our most recent visit. The cheese is soft and fresh. The tomatoes and dressing delicious. I love their fresh focaccia. They have a kid's menu, so my granddaughter had the salmon and fruit salad. The salmon was delicious - 5 star seared with crispy skin. The fruit was fresh but the pineapple had a bit of discoloration. Our service was mixed. We had the same server, but they seemed to be understaffed, so she seemed to be stretched. She did not bring us plates for our apps, which we were sharing. When we asked for plates, she brought tiny bread plates. We asked for a to go box for our granddaughter's meal, and never received one. Main dishes came out before apps on our first visit. Our server was friendly, but I felt like we were on a bad episode of a top chef competition. That said, the food was excellent, so good that we came back. I found myself craving the G&G salad the next day. The restaurant is beautiful. Prices are reasonable. I go back, even if I wasn't staying at the hotel. It's that good.

Absolutely amazing! The food at Garden & Grain Seasonal Kitchen was light, fresh, and full of flavor. We had the burrata and heirloom tomato, wow! Truly one of the best dishes I've ever had. Huge props to Chef Rissah, who clearly knows how to balance flavor and presentation. I'd honestly come back to Colorado just for that dish. The mushroom pizza was also delicious, earthy, perfectly baked, and just the right size to share. But the real highlight of the evening was Ayleen. She was so friendly and genuine. you could tell she loves what she does. Her smile and positive attitude lit up the room, and her recommendations were spot-on. Even though the restaurant was super busy, she was attentive and never missed a beat. I'd hire her 100 times over! If you're visiting the Gaylord, make sure you stop at Garden & Grain. Between the incredible food and the top-notch service, it's an experience you won't forget.

Came here with my family on a Thursday night around Christmas time. Got here right when they opened and since I was the second person in line (couldn't make a reservation), we were seating right away. Rayne was out waitress, and she was great. The food was all delicious. The Brussel Sprouts were our favorite! The pizza was good but not great, felt a little skimpy on the toppings. They have plenty of seats both inside and on the patio which gives you a good look of the lobby and people passing by. I did take off one star because the hours are extremely limited. Opening at 5pm then closing at 10pm is a very small window. Also, I know that they use a few different kitchens for the food but the pizzas came out at the same time as the appetizers and the salad came out after all the other items. It would be nice to at least get the food at the same time or have them space it out a but so we get the apps first. Overall, 4/5 stars!

Very clean and well laid out restaurant. Our server was very attentive and explained the menu very well. The fig and pear pizza was unique and definitely worth trying out. Braised octopus had deep rich flavor and focaccia bread complimented perfectly. They will also validate the parking.

The restaurant is beautiful. The service was great. The food had good flavor, mostly. The skirt steak tasted great but was beyond tough. My daughter kept chewing and chewing. The chef agreed that the meat was tough and took it off the bill. Handled very well. The Turkey burger was not ground meat but rather a "Turkey steak" carved from the bird...unexpected. It sounded delicious from the description on the menu but actually lacked flavor. A seasoned ground turkey patty would've been better. I gave 3 stars because of the service was great. I would not go back for the food. It was just ok.

Ahi Poke Nachos and Focaccia w/ Olive Tapenade

I came to Garden + Grain at the Gaylord Rockies for a first date with someone visiting for a conference--and it turned out to be such a solid pick. The vibe was elevated but relaxed, which made it easy to settle in and connect. He ordered a Manhattan for me (a smooth, well-balanced move on his part), and had the watermelon mojito mocktail for himself--sweet, bright, and refreshing. We shared the focaccia with tapenade and the ahi tuna poke nachos, and both were phenomenal. The focaccia was warm and fluffy, and the tapenade added this perfect salty richness. But the poke nachos were the real MVP--fresh tuna, crispy wontons, and just the right amount of heat and crunch. Honestly, I'd come back for those alone. Only critique? Our waitress could've been more attentive--we had to do a little extra work to get her attention. But that aside, it was a beautiful first date setting with standout food. Would definitely return--especially with someone who orders a good cocktail for me without missing a beat.

Ahi Tuna Poke Nachos... I'm Still Thinking About Them We had dinner at Garden + Grain inside the Gaylord of the Rockies, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I'd been here once before for breakfast, but the dinner menu is a completely different experience (in a good way). The standout of the night? Hands down, the Ahi Tuna Poke Nachos. We ordered them as a table appetizer, and I genuinely wish I had claimed them as my entrée. Fresh, flavorful, and so well-balanced--I couldn't stop thinking about them, even while eating my actual main course. Speaking of which, I had the Simply Pizza, which that night was a chicken, bacon, ranch combo. It was really good crispy, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients, but again, I was still dreaming about those nachos. Our server was absolutely amazing. She was managing tables in our section and the patio (which was all the way across the restaurant), and still managed to be friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. We also tried the dessert charcuterie board, which was a really fun and unique way to end the meal. Everything from their own harvested honey to the candied oranges and pecans was delicious. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that our appetizer came out at the same time as our entrées. I'm not sure if that was a kitchen coordination issue or just an awkward timing from the food runner, but it took away from the pacing a bit. That said, I would absolutely eat here again. The food was fresh and creative, the service was fantastic, and the Ahi Tuna Poke Nachos alone are worth a return trip.

And my other half went for breakfast. His breakfast was the mountain man breakfast and was full of meats, eggs hashbrowns, and Ken with pancakes, but he opted for English buffet instead. It also came with a side of toast. It was a very ample breakfast. My patty melt sure did hit the spot. It was a perfectly medium cooked hamburger on rye with cheddar, and Swiss melted with grilled onions and thousand island dressing. Instead of fries, I went for the mashed potatoes and gravy. It was comfort food to the max. My date also got the peanut butter shake. He slurped that down in a hot minute. He said it was wonderful. He offered me a taste at least twice before I noticed it was gone. There's also meatloaf on the menu as well as a pulled pork barbecue Frito pie and they have a Frito pie burger. They also serve meatloaf. They have several classics and several twists. I recommend going there. There's something for everyone.

Decaf coffee was good, I could drink it multiple times, will definetely order next time. Sweet Potato fries were really delicious and the steak flavor was okay, but atleast it was still tender/cooked perfectly, just wished it punch more but not bad. Mash potato was pretty disappointing.
