I kid you not, the couple next to us ordered their food and it came out in less than 5 minutes. We were all impressed. The bar tender was our server, he made us delicious mimosas. They have an extensive drink list btw. If I was feeling extra fun, I would've ordered an espresso martini. We were in Denver for spring break. I heard great things about Denver Biscuit Co. I was hoping to try their popular Franklin Biscuit Sandwich. We decided to eat there for our first meal after landing from the airport. We arrived to Denver Biscuit Co on a Thursday late afternoon recently. The restaurant is located inside the nice food hall, Stanley Marketplace in Aurora, CO. Parking is accessible all around the marketplace. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has fun vibrant modern decor. Since it was about 4:00pm when we were seated unfortunately they were not serving anymore breakfast food which includes the Franklin Biscuit Sandwich. It ended up being a blessing in disguise though because it happened to be happy hour. We ended up ordering 2 Lights Out Burgers, Sully Fries, Kids chicken tenders, Old fashioned cocktail, and a glass of Chardonnay from the happy hour menu. We also ordered a big cinnamon roll to go. Everything was delicious. Our Lights Out Burgers were mouthwatering. The soft bun, huge juicy patty, melted cheese, pickles, onions were such a great concoction of bold flavors. Sully fries smothered with gravy was scrumptious with every messy bite. Our drinks were refreshing and perfect after a flight. The cinnamon roll was soft, moist, and delectable. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Denver Biscuit Co. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The price point was more than fair. I love the location and Stanley Marketplace is such a fantastic food hall with many food/drink options. Trivia night and chicken?! Count us in! My friends and I were looking up fun, trivia places and this location was available. Stanley marketplace is a huge food hall. It does have two parking lots, but you might have to park on side streets. We arrived a little late to trivia because we were looking for parking but this trivia lets you join late and you can still fill in answers for questions that you missed. So we got really lucky and didn't miss out on any potential points. We joined in around the middle around one. While we were playing the waitress came over and asked us if we wanted to order anything. I got the chicken tenders and fries and my friends got two different types of chicken sandwiches. The service was pretty quick and the food came out within the second round of trivia. The chicken tenders were hot fresh and juicy! The fries were seasoned well. I definitely think I would go back for their trivia nights and their chicken. It was a really good mix and the ambience was fun and engaging. My team actually won second place! I have eaten at DBCO several times throughout the years and visited almost all their locations. It's a place I think to take out of towners. Today I thought I could go for a good chicken sandwich. Unfortunately this visit changed my entire view of this franchise. I ordered KMACK and my husband ordered the Folsom. Neither came on a biscuit. Sandwiches were "ok". Nothing amazing. We also ordered Sully fries to share, again, lackluster. Their old fashioned was good and they serve Denver Beer CO beer, which is a plus. Service was ok. We could tell he didn't really want to talk much. I asked him about the biscuits and he said they don't serve biscuits after 3. Call me crazy, but biscuit is in your name, so why put a time limit on them. If anything, at least note on your menu that biscuits aren't available after 3. Anyway, this visit was subpar at best. We were seated and our waiter Marcos promptly greeted us and took our drink order. We asked for some suggestions and what he thought we'd like m, so we went off his suggestions. I got the DBC and my husband got the pot pie. The pot pie was so savory and every bite would make a grown man smile with pleasure. We were a fairly large group as we were visiting from out of town for my daughter's soccer tournament. 6 parents and 6 kids. We sat in two tables. As you can see in the picture the biscuit is a pretty good size. I actually split it along with the waffle fries my older daughter and it was just perfect portion. The biscuit nice and soft, the bacon crispy and thick, and the entire sandwich covered in their house-made honey butter really adds that extra pop of flavor. The Parmesan fries are so addicting I wanted to order more to snack on later lol My husband ordered the shrimp and grits and although I didn't get a chance to snap a picture of it, I did taste it and it was delicious. Grits cooked perfectly and the seasoning for the shrimp was amazing. Really melt in your mouth. Overall this restaurant was spectacular.
