This is such a cute little spot. The moment you walk in, you get this vibe that feels like home, but it isn't. Very welcoming and very charming folks here. I opted to sit upstairs on the rooftop and enjoy the view and the food. The server here is top-notch. He went out of his way to take care of me and made sure all my needs were met from start to finish. I ordered the eggs and sweet potato hash with cornbread. The hash was delicious, and the eggs were perfect. The only thing preventing this spot from being a five is that the cornbread was extremely dry, even with the butter. Aside from that, everything was awesome.

The picture looks way better than it tastes. Shrimp and Grits, which is just shrimp soup with a bunch of spinach.

I'm giving this place 2 stars only because the server was excellent and this review is not a reflection of him. The reviews of this place is very misleading and I'm appalled how they even have decent reviews. We ordered the Chicken & Waffles and Shrimp & Grits. That was not fried chicken. That was a dry chicken cracker served on top of a soggy waffle. Which strangely they put pickled onions on the same plate as the waffles so the waffle soaks up a vinegar flavor. Terrible. That chicken was disrespectful. How anyone can serve that and call it good is appalling. The Shrimp & Grits was not shrimp & grits. It's was shrimp soup with a bunch of unnecessary veggies, on top of grits. Southern "inspired" food is all this is. It is terrible. Black coffee was good, and the restaurant looked really nice and clean inside. Ambiance is nice as well. Food is just terrible and unacceptable.

Do not skip these - Fried Green Tomatoes! Delicious.

This place has a fun, hip, slightly chaotic brunch vibe. There always seems to be a wait, but honestly, join the Yelp waitlist before you go! We were told there were 10 parties ahead of us, and somehow our table was ready about five minutes later. In fact, the table was ready almost 20 minutes before the quoted wait time, so the waitlist system definitely seems questionable- to our benefit. We came on a Sunday and happened to get lucky because there was also a farmers market going on, which made the whole experience even more lively. The menu is described online as American, although I definitely got more of a Southern Creole influence from a lot of the savory dishes. The fried green tomatoes were hands-down the star of our meal - probably the best I've ever had. Absolutely worth ordering. We also tried the brisket hash and kicking sausage grits. The grits did not disappoint. The brisket hash was decent, but I think it could have benefited from a little sweetness to balance the barbecue-style brisket. There were also a few pieces that were very fatty, which disappoints. Overall, I would definitely come back. The menu is fun, varied, and diverse enough that there are plenty of other things I want to try. Just know what you're getting into: it's busy, very hipster, and chaotic - but that's the true flavor of brunch!

Our first time here and we loved it! The food was divine and the service was amazing. Our waitress was the sweetest thing. Loved the flavors of all the food! Highly recommend

Visited during vacation & so happy I did. The shrimp & grits, delicious. Berry french toast, delicious. Chicken & waffles, delicious! I would come here every trip just to try more items on the menu! I did need to join the waitlist & waited about 40 mins, but that was expected! Our server was SO nice too!

Bluegrass Benedict (10/10 would recommend highly)

So glad that I picked this spot for brunch while visiting Denver. Vibe: Family friendly, open breakfast/brunch/lunch place with bar and sit down service. 9am on a Sunday was moderately busy and moderately loud. Service: 10/10. Bar staff was excellent, very friendly and fast. Food came out of the kitchen very quickly as well. Food: The menu had a lot of really interesting options, I got the Bluegrass Benedict. It was amazing. Literally one of my favorite benedict dishes I've had. It had layers and layers of flavors between the greens, sauce, and toppings. The home fries were crispy on the outside + soft on the inside perfection. The only part that wasn't stellar was the pork belly itself, have definitely had better, but everything else blew me away. The portion size was large. Value: I paid $22 after tip, it was a big portion and I had to eat some later (although not as good as fresh), overall great quality and service so would say value on point. Accessibility: There was street parking in front. There is a ramp to the door. I had a great meal and would recommend highly and would go again if back in the area.

Brisket hash with two over easy eggs and cornbread

Great breakfast spot that delivers on flavor and price. I ended up eating the brisket hash with two eggs that was more than enough food and very tasty. The space is bright, and today was so nice that they opened up the garage door/windows that are behind the bar where I sat. The staff is super nice and the restaurant is a well oiled machine. I was going to talk with a manager about bringing a couple bottles of my hot sauce in to see if they'd rather do something local. I will be back because I didn't get to try their delicious looking pancakes on this visit.

We stopped by here for breakfast before the zoo. They sat us immediately, which was a surprise because there was a lot of people outside, so we thought it was the line. But our waiter was absolutely awesome and we talked through recommendation since I'm not from Colorado, This is by far the best food I ate while in Denver. It was absolutely amazing.

Looking for a place on the way to the airport as my trip to Denver came to a close, I found Four Friends on Yelp that had excellent reviews. What a find! Easy free street parking and a table available when I arrived. Service by Brenda was exceptional. She was very friendly and accommodating. It was hard to choose what to order as they had lots of yummy traditional as well as healthy/vegan options on the menu. I went with my usual craving: Huevos Rancheros. It was gigantic and had just the right amount of heat/spice and flavor. Yummers. Brenda kept the coffee refills coming and had me out of there in time to return my rental car and catch my flight back to Baltimore. Fueled by such tasty huevos rancheros, I was good to go all day without needing airport snacks. Nice ambiance here, noticeable inclusivity and positive vibes!

While we had to wait for a table for about 20 minutes, it was to be expected because the restaurant is small. And it is popular! Been looking high and low for a good spot for huevos rancheros, and found one. Great flavor, and I love the crispies of the tortillas. The service was amazing. We had a different server that took our order someone else that brought coffee. Someone else to give us the bill and they just seem to have a well oiled ship there.

This may have been one of the best Brunches I've had in my life. The Crab cake & Fried Green Tomato Eggs Benny was DELICIOUS! The potatos were perfect! We're visiting from out of town but would most definitely come back again!

This was our first stop in Denver and I am so happy we came here! The staff was super friendly and gave us recommendations from their menu. We told them that we were going to splitting both of our meals and they went above & beyond to split our meals & put them on separate plates. We ordered the breakfast sandwich and the chicken and waffles. The potatoes were cooked to perfection and were super crispy. The meal was one of my favorites from the trip.

Hubby and I are always looking for a spot to have breakfast on a Saturday- now that's he has Saturdays free after 17 years or after Sunday church! So you know me I'm always googling or yelping because I know how important reviews are and I found Four Friends Kitchen!! This place is very nice and even a little romantic for the summer because they have a roof top to eat breakfast on and enjoy the warm weather. The service was great, we met the manager and he was nice and we talked about maybe having an event there one day! Now I ordered the chicken fingers, potatoes and a chocolate chip pancake and my husband ordered the usual: eggs, bacon, sausage and a pancake. The pancakes are huge!!! The food was delicious and my fingers cooked extra crispy! And my pancake tasted like dessert! Right up my alley!! ONE important thing to remember: you must make reservations because there is always a wait!!

OMG!!! The bacon grit bites are amazing I must say everything I ate was delicious I will visit again !!!

Turns out... they're showing off. We ordered the exact same dishes--the Sweet & Spicy Chicken and the Shrimp & Grits--and somehow they were just as ridiculously good as we remembered. I honestly can't remember the last time I cleaned an entire plate at a restaurant without eventually saying, "I'm full." Apparently, Tupelo Honey doesn't recognize those words. The cocktails were fantastic, the food was outstanding, and then we noticed something that probably should come with a warning label: a table with self-serve champagne on tap. Thankfully, we exercised the rarest form of adult self-control and didn't sit there. The Hangover Gods nodded in approval. But then we saw the $3 mimosas... so naturally we made a couple of questionable--but delicious--life decisions. As if that wasn't enough, they also have daily drink specials. Three-dollar martinis? That's the kind of math I can get behind. Do yourself a favor and give Tupelo Honey a try. The food is consistently excellent, the drinks are dangerously affordable, and you'll probably leave wondering why you ever eat anywhere else. Just remember... your willpower is about to be tested.
