Our rescue dog went from practically unmanageable to an absolute angel after the two week day training program. I couldn't recommend this program more! He gets so many compliments on his disposition when we're out with him in public.

She came home in shock and growled at our other dog (who she loves and has never previously growled at). Whatever they did during the day together, she was affected quite negatively. From a business standpoint, Kyle gives 30 minute lectures filled with analogies that make no sense. Also, 4:40 pickup means 5:30 apparently.

We've tried several trainers and boarding facilities in various cities and states. We even resorted to trying a famous YouTube trainer and he came back worse and even more anxious. Typically, these expensive "board and trains" we've participated in have ended with medication recommendations and a "good luck". One final trainer recommended we try Mind Of Dog because she also wasn't able to break through. I'm so grateful we did. He's thriving and comes home exhausted. An added bonus is the people training we've received. The best part of all of it, is that he's finally getting the exercise and structure he's always needed and deserves. They handle the dogs calmly, but with lots of structure and clear boundaries, which our dog desperately needs. We can finally go to work and travel without worrying that he's being mishandled or ignored. We're so grateful to have found this place and I have to admit, I was waiting for him to fail again, because we had lost all hope. I highly recommend that you give Mind Of Dog a shot, especially if you're in a similar position as we were. Thanks, Mind of Dog! Senna loves you all and is so grateful to be able to play with dogs without fear and anxiety.

::This review is about the "Vetco" vaccination clinic::…read more Been going to my current vet for almost 20 years. They were bought by private equity a couple years back and since the prices have gone to the stratosphere. Last year's vaccination appointment was just shy of $600. Kiss my patootie, respectfully. The gag is Petco is ALSO owned by private equity but I imagine its large portfolio of stores makes cheap vaccines possible. For a neighborhood vet, it just ruins everything. ::throws phone:: I googled low cost clinics and found out that Petco does them. I needed an appointment soon so my son could go to daycare next week while I'm onsite at work. This was the only location where I could get in before next week. Been in NJ 35 years and never heard of this town. But, at $195 for ALL his shots and heartworm test without a mandatory exam (that's how the vet gets you), I embraced the hour long road trip. The setup: -Book the appointment online at the Petco website -Store is in a strip mall - vax clinic is on the left past the registers. -The providers get on the floor with your dog, talk sweetly to them, and work efficiently. Heartworm results come back in 10 minutes. Pros: -Easy booking, low stress, clear communication -Summary of services, Rx, and rabies vaccine emailed to you during the visit -You do not have to book a vet exam to be vaccinated Possible Cons: -This is a store with people and pets. If your pet is antsy you may want to book during the week rather than on a weekend to minimize distractions and anxiety. ---------- Great experience! Get the jab! We don't need billionaires! We do need fluoride. Did I get everything?

Chose Nelson and he was great. Unfortunately, he had surgery. Was unable to do his haircut so they rebooked it three times and back with Alyia. From the minute, I walked in here, came the excuses. At this point, I was very frustrated. I asked to speak with the manager. What a waste of time manager again acted like it was nothing. Once you get rescheduled three times and this is your fourth time walking in and they find every excuse I think I have the right to be a little upset . Never had a problem with Nelson. If you don't wanna waste your time getting up early or taking time out of your day for an appointment, they're going to cancel on you anyway don't come to the succasunna location Petco.

We absolutely couldn't be happier with Linda at NJ Fix My Dog and the incredible transformation of…read moreour dog Millie. As first-time dog owners, we tried our best to train Millie on our own, but it just wasn't cutting it. We constantly struggled with obedience and her inability to listen to us, intense pulling when we went on walks, jumping, getting mouthy - the list goes on and on. We felt defeated and insecure - but as soon as we talked with Jean and Linda at NJ Fix My Dog, we felt hopeful! They assured us Millie was the kind of dog that could be helped, and they'd be happy to step in.  Throughout Millie's 2 week bootcamp, we received frequent updates from Linda on Millie's progress, photos, and videos. We missed her but we knew she was in excellent care and learning so much everyday. After the 2 week bootcamp, Linda brought Millie home and we were in shock at how well-behaved, and well-mannered suddenly became. The day she came home, Linda spent over an hour with us going over what Millie learned and how to work with her going forward. She also gave us a full document with an assessment of Millie's overall behavior, how to continue to enforce what she learned, and how encourage her along the way.  Before bootcamp, we dreaded going for a walk with Millie because of how she behaved when she saw other dogs (pulling toward them, whimpering, getting anxious, etc.), and how she walked in general (tugging and zig-zagging the entire walk). Now she walks like an absolute DREAM! Right at our side, a nice little trot, ignores other dogs, people, squirrels - everything! We could walk her all day long now, and we look forward to all our walks! Millie used to ignore us when we called for her, or told her "no" if she was doing something we didn't like, but now her recall skills are excellent and she runs right over to us when we call her. She doesn't even try to attempt the bad behavior she used to do, like jumping, getting mouthy, etc., and instead happily relaxes. Her overall demeanor used to be just a little bit intense, always on the lookout for something to get into - but now she is so calm and seems at east with herself. Linda worked WONDERS! We learned so much about Millie through this process, and we truly feel comfortable with what Linda taught us to help Millie be her best self. We feel like we have the tools we need, and the confidence. We feel the support of NJ Fix My Dog now even after Millie is back home - we know Linda is just a call or text away if we need any help.

We were seeking some help with our 13 week old Lab mix puppy's aggressive play issues…read more(nipping/biting) and other behavioral issues (walking well on leash, not dropping items off floor, ground, etc.). We were fully aware of what a puppy goes through at this age, however, we had never seen a puppy so independent/head strong before. Given we have two young daughters (9 & 5), we wanted to ensure our puppy established a solid behavior foundation. We found Jean & Fix My Dog after unsuccessfully working with a few different trainers online. Within the first 30 minutes of our session with Jean, we had already learned so much about both our new puppy's and our own behaviors. After the hour was over, we were very confident we had found the right place to help us with our puppy training. Given the current pandemic, we hoped to find a trainer that could not only help with the behavioral issues, but also socialize our pup well enough to other dogs, people, children, etc. As a result, Jean paired us up with Christy, a trainer who lives on a lot of land, has dogs and other animals, and plenty of people around to help socialize our pup. We spoke with Christy on the phone to go over her approach, felt great about it, came up with a list of behavioral focus areas, signed a contract, selected a day for Christy to come pick up our puppy, and off she went for 2 weeks! The training process was handled so well.. Christy kept us informed with photos, videos, and lots of daily updates. We were even able to do a few online video sessions to see our puppy and to ask questions about how the training was going. It was 100% clear that our puppy was getting the attention she needed and was being trained as part of a family and not as just another dog in a training facility. (SO IMPORTANT!) We were noticing tremendous progress with our puppy over videos after the first few days of training. When she returned home after the 2 weeks were up, it was almost as if we had a perfectly re-wired puppy. It was absolutely clear that the training was effective and our puppy now had a solid behavioral foundation to work with. Christy and her family were extremely loving with our dog, and were clearly able to address all of the behavioral points we asked for through positive reinforcement and appropriate correction practices. Upon her return, we received many instructional videos and a manual to keep us (owners) in line on how to maintain all of the great work put in place. If you were like us, seeking a trainer to help build a strong behavioral foundation for your puppy, I would HIGHLY recommend Christy @ NJ Fix My Dog. We simply could not have found a better situation both for us and our puppy.
