Just had them today, been eating here for over 20 years, never again. Must have a new cook or something burnt our fried rice, I opened my meal and immediately smelt something that smelled like cigarettes, upon inspecting our other meals rice we found the pork pieces were burnt/charred and that carried over into the rice. They probably made the whole batch of rice for our family's order then the burnt flavor carried into most of it. Then they mis-made the order and made the wrong entree spicy. Had a issue in the past too where they short changed my father he gave them a bigger bill and they tried to claim he didn't and gave him less change. Stay away theres plenty of other places to go to in the area, New China on the south side and there's golden dragons around. read more

This is my husband's favorite spot, he likes the fried rice and chicken wings. I really like the wonton soup and my kids like the lo mein. I tried the Bean Curd in Oyster Sauce this time and it's very delicious (while my family prefers American style Chinese food I prefer more authentic). Recommend this dish if you like Tofu! It's not spicy but if you want it spicy she will make it that way. If you prefer Sichuan cuisine she also has a Sichuan style bean curd on the menu, similar to maps tofu but no meat... if you want meat she will add it just ask. Nice, friendly woman! We have been eating here for years. Their food is delicious, reasonably priced and the service and staff are top notch. While I am not a huge fan of their crab Rangoon ( these are real and not the usual imitation) and the hot and sour soup in my opinion needs a little mor heat and sour. The rest of the menu is absolutely delicious. And between the 4 of us we have tried almost everything on the menu. Try for yourself I don't think you will be disappointed. read more

This is my favorite place for pepper steak, onions and the shrimp fried rice. The best deals are when you go during the lunch hour. But dinnertime is much less busy. Just be aware that it's not the safest neighborhood so if you have a license to carry. I would just to be on the safe side. Owners are always very nice and accommodating. only thing i can really say is their food is always amazing. ive ate from there almost weekly for almost 2 years now my food has always tasted amazing and fresh and never not tasted the same! normal wait times vary from 10-20 mins ive never waited longer then 20 mins for my food. they have a huge selection of food check them out!!! read more

This has been my favorite Chinese restaurant for years. It is a little hole-in-the-wall place in what used to be a strip mall (now mostly occupied by the church complex that apparently owns the property), Be not deceived. This place is well worth the visit. The food is consistently good and always seems fresh and hot.It's basically carry-out, but there are a few tables if you want to eat on the premises. I think it's family owned and operated - I've seen the same familiar faces (and yes, they do remember you) for years. Garden Wok is a FANTASTIC lunch value. The lunch 'buffet' is open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the food is excellent. You get your choice of steamed rice, fried rice, mei fun, or lo mein and two (2) entrees. The chicken and broccoli and beef and broccoli are two of my favorites. The Kung Pao is also very good. And....that's not all...you also get soup (Egg Drop, Hot and Sour or Wonton) and a soft drink (free refills on dine in). It's a small eatery and gets REALLY busy during the lunch hour. They give you a ton of food for only $5.50 (tax included). You just can't go wrong! They also offer a full menu. But it will take longer to get your food, so I highly recommend the buffet. read more
