When I visit Indiana I make it a point to eat dinner at Zing Japanese Fusion. The quality of food is sensational. The flavors pop in your mouth. Each dish is unique and mouthwatering. On a recent trip to Indiana I had a fabulous experience at Zing as usual. It has become a tradition to eat at Zing Japanese Fusion. On this particular occasion I enjoyed dinner with a friend I was visiting. It was on a Saturday evening. We were greeted with smiles and felt welcomed as always. We were promptly seated at a table for two. The restaurant quickly filled with customers creating a lively atmosphere. We shared a couple of sushi plates while enjoying wine & Bobo Tea. It was a memorable experience. A fantastic meal, great service, and a lovely decor. I highly recommend Zing Japanese Fusion. There is no doubt I will return the next time I visit Indiana. read more

I love zing. It has a slightly smaller menu than Woochi but what it has is still delicious. I like that it's smaller and not terribly packed whenever I'm there. It also looks like there's outdoor seating? Although I've never been outside so I'm not sure. Our waitress Cynthia this past time we were there is absolutely amazing. Yum!! My husband and I tried Zing yesterday and it was delicious. We both ordered sushi entrees which came with miso soup & salad. He got the 3 spicy rolls and I ordered the salmon sushi combo. The service was not great to speak about with family and colleagues. To start off we came in and stayed waiting for 20 minutes, when you could clearly see clean Booths with no one inside. My party was of 3 people. Then after waiting the 20 minutes a couple of other people that were another race came in and got seated only waiting after 10 minutes. We stumbled upon this place randomly while spur of the moment craving sushi. We are SO glad we gave Zing a try. This was the best sushi we've ever had! Staff were wonderful and never left anything unattended and were super courteous. The restaurant is small, but they bring food out quickly so the wait is never super long for a small party. Went on a Saturday later afternoon. It wasn't busy, which is what I was really looking for that day. Nice quiet cute spot on the corner with big windows and lots of window seating. I dined by myself and enjoyed it very much. I ordered a Roll Entree with Eel Avocado Roll,Shrimp Tempura Roll,Spicy Kani Roll All very tasty! I could have used more wasabi, but I didn't think to ask. The combo came with Miso soup and ginger dressing salad (the dressing was to die for! I resisted drinking it out of the bottom of the bowl and even dipped some of my rolls in it!) I also ordered a Taro boba milk tea, which was VERY reasonably priced. I wasn't planning on ordering that, but the price was right! I thought maybe the prices were a bit high for the specialty rolls, but everything else seemed reasonable. The service was friendly and fast. It was another pleasant afternoon dining out with my parents. The only thing missing was my husband. I ordered off of the lunch menu; an avocado asparagus and cucumber roll (aac roll) as well as a spicy salmon roll. My parents ordered orange chicken for my mother and habachi chicken for my father. The only complaint I had about my food is that the bite sizes were too big? But that's a common thing with sushi, at least in the United States, but they don't have any issue with cutting a roll from 6 pieces to 8 pieces or even 10 pieces, if you have a smaller mouth like I do. The service is almost always 4-5 star for this establishment. It's too small 8n here for them to ignore you! Lol... The décor is a bit outdated, but it's still nice. I always think the salmon dinner is great. I get it pretty much every time I go there. The vegetables are done extremely well also.

We live in Benton Harbor, Mi and we've visited Zing multiple times and every time was a very pleasant experience. We've had a variety of sushi rolls and found the sushi to be delicious and top notch and was the service and the atmosphere. My date told me she would love to out for sushi. I'm not a sushi eater so I always look for other Asian flair to go along with sushi. We were in Mishiwaka and found Zing Fusion. When we arrived, it was in a modern building and not what I pictured for an Asian place. I don't know what this place was before Zing, but if you are claustrophobic, do not come here. There are a few booths to right when you walk in but then the rest of the tables are lined down a hallway. Pretty close quarters but if you are willing to take that risk, the food is really good. General Tso's is my go-to meal when I eat Asian. This was the best General Tso's I've had in a long time. The chicken was cooked perfectly tender and fried. The sauce was so yummy, thick, and spicy like you expect from General Tso's. The fried rice was the perfect complement. The General Tso's comes with egg drop soup that I don't care for but my date's meal came with Hot and Sour. Hot and Sour was all right. Except for the small dining arrangements, Zing has excellent food and you should put it on your list of places for Asian cuisine. read more

It came with steak pieces, rice, 3 small fried shumais, 3 pieces of Cali roll, soup, and salad. Overall, ordering was very easy, you can order on the website via slick menus and pickup was easy. Just walk in and the host will help you. They have parking in front but I did miss it because the restaurant is attached to CVS, literally. It isn't look too big in there but there was a 6 top I think, a few 4 tops and I think a couple 2 tops looked nice for solo travelers. When I returned again for dine in, I noticed all the cocktails had some sort of sake in it. They also offer wine. The chicken fried rice is really good as well as the crab Rangoon's. Sushi comes out fast. Seems to be very balanced with a nice amount meat or veggies on the inside and a small layer of rice. Making the protein to carb ratio more even. The workers are Chinese and Japanese. A great place to come in practice your language learning skills. The food it is well cooked the inside each roll seems to be well thought out and even between pieces. You can also add and take things out of pieces of sushi . Somethings are an extra charge. Are usually add jalapeños into every roll, they charge one dollar to add in anything that is a vegetable. More for protein. The food seems very fresh. The only downfall is the water; It seriously taste like dirt. The music when I first arrived was very authentic. Being Chinese, Japanese, or Korean style music. As more people came in I noticed the music leaned heavy towards American music. Having authentic Asian music while eating Asian cuisine creates an environment/atmosphere that is very important to the meal. The workers are fun and always moving. Making every person feel important and getting your food as fast as possible. The atmosphere is an 8/10. Beautiful inside but to use a bit more of an Asian authentic touch.
