5-stars for Juan & his crew at Gardening Service Co.! Because of his 5-star Yelp reviews, we initially found Juan to do some gardening/backyard maintenance. On a Friday, Juan stopped by to survey our gardening needs, had some helpful suggestions, and said he could get started the following Monday. His crew got right to work weeding our silver carpet grass as well as trimmimg overgrown ivy and general clean-up work around the front & backyard. We soon learned that Juan & his crew were MUCH more than a maintenance service. Because there was some extra yard-design work we had held-off on, we realized we'd better tackle it now that we had such a capable crew. We had some design ideas and Juan said 'We can absolutely do all of that deconstructed granite work, design it with bender boards, pick-up your desired plants at a nearby nursery (as well as some gravel for design) and plant everything. In short, within 2 days, Juan, Daniel, Jesus & crew transformed an overgrown back area into a desirable drought-tolerant destination on our property. Not only that, they took down a small concrete block wall and custom-built us some really great swinging-gate redwood doors for easy access. (At a third of the cost a vinyl door company had quoted us!) They also did so much more (including scraping & painting the side of our 10' barn) and were always ready & willing to pitch-in however we needed them with really great attitudes and super-pleasant work ethics. Not only will they be our go-to garden maintenance crew, they will also be our first call for any other yardscaping we might need done in the future. These people are amazing! We found them on Yelp when getting a quote, and the owner responded with an offer to come out to see what needed to be done. We texted them the day before yesterday, got a free estimate yesterday and then they got all of the work done today. Four guys showed up promptly around 7:30 and worked very hard cutting down half a dozen trees and probably like 20-30 bushes. All the work was done the way that we requested it and they cleaned up the branches and took all the green waste with them when they left! We are so impressed with how hard they worked and how much they were able to accomplish in 4.5 hours. I don't even think they took a break the whole time they were working, but I hope they got one in. We feel very fortunate to have found them and we look forward to hiring them again in the future. read more

I had a nightmare garden overgrown with weeds that I couldn't manage anymore. I called Juan up and he came right away, gave me a fair price that seemed standard for the job.. then cleaned EVERYTHING out like I asked in a matter of less than a couple hours Really happy I don't have to manage the wild lettuce overrunning my yard anymore and I can finally access my hose again. :') Not to mention it looks very nice and clean! Juan and his crew replaced a patch of old, damaged mulch in the front of my industrial building. It was a small project, but Juan treated it professionally. He quoted from the photos I provided, then visited to confirm the estimate, and actually made a suggestion that reduced the cost. We used this service for a couple of months. He was a bit higher than our previous gardener. I meet with the gardener and communication was great for a couple of messages after that he completely stop replying to any messages I sent. He did text me the invoice in a timely manner. He was supposed to do a playground project in our backyard but didn't respond to any of my messages. I got one reply and it was just a single word. I noticed our lawn in the front was looking botched. Our grass and hedges had a few bald spots. I reached out to him to see when he can come out to see what his guys did but he never responded. I was so confused! We had two weeks of paid service left but I decided to stop the service. I messaged him thru Yelp to let him know I was ending service but he never replied. His team didn't show up for the normal service day.I think he may have received the yelp message. read more

These guys did a great job! We needed our rose bushes trimmed back to leave a clear space between them and a neighbor's driveway, while not cutting away too much so that they don't grow back. Juan and his team removed two tree stumps and their roots today. We were able to get in the schedule easily which was very convenient for us. They worked promptly and thoroughly. We were so happy with their work, we asked them to do several other projects including redoing our entire hillside irrigation, installing sod, and fixing some major underground irrigation pipe problems.
