I ended up spending $90 and almost couldn't fit all the plants in my car. I thought I had plenty, then I was driving up Ryan 3 days ago, July 8, and saw a sign for 75% off. The problem is,…read moreWeigand's is a bit of a drive from my house, and I always seem to have something going on every weekend. But, I drive by Flower Barn Nursery whenever I go to the post office. I figured it was a place that just had flowers, like the name says. I was very happy to find that they had significantly more than that. They have a variety of herbs and vegetables, though they don't have a gigantic sea of them, like Weigand's. You will find several of many different kinds of herbs and vegetables, though. And, I don't need to plant 20 tomato plants, so smaller volume is fine by me. I bought chives, sweet basil, a peanut plant, and several Thai finger pepper plants. Each tray of the pepper plants had four plants on it. And, each one was only $2.99 (so, I got 4 pepper plants was a total of $2.99). There are also plenty of things for landscaping, and prices are less than, say, Weigand's. You might not see the fanciest, high-end things, but they have you covered for whatever you need for your garden. And, with gas prices being so high, I was very happy to save gas on the drive. There weren't many people here, which is a shame. A lot of people probably were just like me, and drove right past. I definitely won't make that mistake again.

This is my first time at the Clinton Township location. I walked in and asked for help finding an…read moreelderberry shrub. I saw online that they had at least three re-in stock. The cashier directed me to the outdoor space, but I could not find what I was looking for and there was no one around working the outdoor nursery. I went back inside and had to search for an employee. She just finished helping another customer, but she walked with me outside. We were unable to find the elderberry shrub. She was uncertain that they had any left, but I mentioned online they are in stock. We went back inside. She went to a cash register and found that they had five in stock, but she had no idea where they were so she called a different employee. He met me outside and walked me directly to what I was looking for. Well, I appreciate her help. There has to be a better way to find a product more quickly. I appreciate that they were well stopped with what I was looking for in addition to many other plants. I would return if I saw that they had something in stock that I was looking for, but I think I will go directly to a cashier and have them verify exactly where it could be found in the store in order to save time.

Also, their stupid slip of paper for a discount is a waste of their time and mine as there are too many restrictions to save the sliver of paper. Come back several weeks later, make sure the item isn't on sale already, blah, blah, blah - I used to bother to save these coupons but now I just toss them aside. The prices are high and these 2 things really bother me but the location and selection are very nice.
