I had my first visit here a few days ago and it was a nice experience. It was easy to make an appointment and the staff was very welcoming. I did my regular cleaning and got some X-rays done. The cleaning went well and wasn't painful at all. They also offer paraffin wax for your hands during your service which was a nice perk. My hygienist was very sweet and did a great job! I would give them a zero if I could. They do not take you on time. They also will tell you that x-rays are mandatory annually. Totally false. You can call any other reputable dentist in Florida and they will tell you that you do not need annual x-rays. They just want to charge your insurance. read more

Never thought the words "dental" and "spa" could go together until I visited Gardens Dental Spa, at my friend's recommendation, for a cleaning session on Feb 3, 2022, in the afternoon. The experience was nothing short of excellent, and I have absolutely no complaints. Walking in, I was greeted by very friendly desk staffs (Viviane(?) and Karissa(?) or something along those lines were their names, I think), both of whom were admirably patient with everyone. The waiting room was one of the most relaxing & clean ones that I've been in, and I didn't even have to wait that long. They did my tooth cleaning first. My dental hygienist, Liz, was super friendly and thorough. She spent extra care, effort, and time making my teeth as clean as they can be, while being very careful to not cause any pain or damage the whole time. She explained every step of the way what she was doing so I wasn't nervous, with just the right amount of chat to keep me at ease, including great tips on how to keep teeth healthy and pretty. After the cleaning, I waited a few minutes and then went to get lots of X-rays taken, with the help of another very friendly and helpful staff (named Emily, maybe?). Dental x-rays are never super comfortable, so it really helped that they were super efficient and keeping me updated on the progress. Once that was over, Dr. Kaufman walked in to examine my x-rays and my teeth in person. Just like their staff, Dr. Kaufman was very thorough and friendly. Overall, the folks at Gardens Dental Spa are competent and pleasant. I've always been nervous about going to a new dentist because, probably like many of you, I've heard horror stories about cold experiences at dentists, run by people that only see you as money. Well, thankfully Gardens Dental Spa was not like that. It was obvious that they go the extra step to make everyone's experience as comfortable as it can be. They even offered me some warmed neck roll thing for my neck and heated moisturizing gloves for my hands to keep me relaxed during the cleaning! And I even had the pleasant "difficulty" choosing among different flavors of lip balm! The place really did feel like a spa, and not filled with horrendous smell and sounds that you might see at other dentists. Cherry on top: everyone had a beautiful smile on their faces, which brightened up my day. Now that's something you never hear about a visit to your dentist. By far the best dental office I've been to. The staff always ask about my daughter, whether she is with me or not. Everyone is very friendly and respectful, they never force anything or make you feel ignorant. They always ask permission and explain everything thoroughly. The office is clean and welcoming. Best part is the warm neck roll and parafin wax hand treatment, which is included! I've never been so pampered while getting my teeth cleaned. I originally switched dentists to Gardens Dental Spa 2.5 years ago, due to a chipped tooth. They were able to get me in the next day before my scheduled shift. My previous dental office in Wellington, FL were unable to accommodate me, then proceeded to embarrass themselves when they refused to send my dental records to this office. Needless to say, I switched and have been happy since! I recommend all my friends and family to this office. They are with the drive! read more

I agree, they USED to be great but since they moved only seem to be coming up with treatment you "need" that cost tens of thousands of dollars- no other options presented (this happened twice in the past few months).When questioned, the surly desk person acted as if I was an idiot and annoying for asking questions- which she obviously was unqualified to answer- finally in disgust offered to have the Dr call me back. He hasn't. Really just in it for the money it seems not to provide quality care anymore. The hygienist was always great, unfortunately my daughter showed up for her last cleaning appointment to find she had been unknowingly switched to a new, less desirable one without her knowledge. My son was scheduled to have an old appliance removed 2 appointments ago- seems they've forgotten as it's still in place. Need I say more? Time to move on. read more

After a cleaning and consulting with both the hygienist and Dr. Strauss I was told I should have work completed on a tooth on my right side as it was the immediate concern. When I went in for my appointment, the Doctor inserted the novocain on my left side! Not only that, but instead of having work done on one tooth, they were planning on doing fillings on two teeth, which would have doubled my bill! Spent 31,000 on implants and zirconia upper and lower. Was promised "teeth immediately after surgery and permanent zirconia in 7 days" It's been 9 months. 5 sets of molds, 4 digital scans, 4 sets of temporary acrylic upper and lower all poorly aligned. The last set was so incorrect height wise the dentist ground them down to a slick piece of plastic in the back just so I could close my jaw and I have remained in that set for the past 5 months awaiting my final set. They cancel appts or tell me the teeth didn't arrive, or tell me the lab made an error and they act blameless. I have been promised the final set so many times only to arrive to an even worse set of problems. The last appt I was told prior to the appt that the final set of zirconia arrived but "was broken in transit" and that they would have to send them back to the lab. How do permanent zirconia "the strongest implant material" break in transit when they are supposed to "last a lifetime" of chewing?? The lab states they were sent back to the dental office but I never received a call. I began working with another location who did yet another set of molds and scans to deliver a "final set" only to arrive and in the middle of installing them the upper bridge snapped in half. I was told this was because the first office "didn't verify" them and here I sit now 9 months later still waiting. Additionally, this office received 1,500 from my insurance company as a reimbursement for part of my extractions and should have given that to me since I paid the entire 31,000 for the extractions and implants. They still refuse to give it back to me so I have filed a grievance with my insurance company. Save your money, time, energy and emotional distress and DO NOT GO HERE read more

The ladies at the desk are awesome but William Strauss is horrible. He doesn't tell you that he is going to do a very expensive procedure until after he starts drilling your teeth. And he is not very thorough. Had 2 procedures and both are not complete, and they wont make it right. Im sure its fine to get a cleaning there but avoid getting any dental work. read more

Dr. Strauss is nothing short of professional, forthright, and honest(and he's pretty funny also). I had an emergency while looking for property in PBG. Luckily my realtor uses GDS and suggested I call them. It was after hours and Dr. Strauss willingly came to see me. Thankfully he was able to fix my issue and suggested I follow up either with himself or my dentist up north. I followed up with my regular dentist and he asked where I had the work done as he was very impressed with what was done in this emergent situation. When I am permanently settled I plan on using Dr. Strauss. Can't speak for the office yet as I had no interaction with them. I was billed EXACTLY for what Dr. Strauss told me I would be billed for. No surprises. I'd like to point out that when coming on here to write my review of a most positive experience I had(considering what had to be done) I was shocked to see all the negative reviews. My advice is to take them with a grain of salt. Being a healthcare professional as well, I have found that these negative reviews come from people who neglect their health and then expect nothing short of a miracle to "fix" what they have broken. Think about it... If you regularly go to the dentist, when have you ever needed $30k worth of work. To me that's neglect and someone in need of a full mouth restoration. My advice and experience with Dr. Strauss is if you need a competent, skilled dentist, use him. read more

Had a wonderful experience! The entire staff was amazing, especially Lucy at the front desk. She's very warm and welcoming. I had a lot of work to be done, including 2 root canals, fixing 2 crowns and a bridge. I had all the work done over the course of 3 appointments and the staff was great every single time. It's been over 6 months now and all my crowns and bridge are still rock solid. Recently went back for my next cleaning and service and staff were all as good as when I first came in. Steer clear if you have insurance and do not have time to reconcile what you truly owe to what they bill you. After completely damaging one of my daughter's teeth (worked on it three times as they could not get it right and she was in pain) they tried to bill me $335 more than my insurance company said I owed. I spent several months and had numerous communications with them and each time the story changed on why I was being charged more and quite frankly it was all lies, I do not usually say something so strongly. Finally after 3 months I filed a grievance with my insurance company (Delta Dental). They ruled in my favor and demanded the dentist pay me back what they overcharged. They sent me a check with a letter stating that they were insulted that the insurance company wanted them to do something unprofessional. The unprofessional treatment came from the dental office. They were upset that I actually stood my ground as I knew I was right. Then they tried to tell me they would only continue to treat me out-of-network, yet they have a contract with Delta Dental. Unbelievable. But of course I had no intentions of going back. Now I do agree that the Dental Hygienist is wonderful and professional. But outside of her area, you are on your own. When I went to another dentist, without telling him anything he asked what happened to my daughter's tooth. He said it had been worked on so much it was "structurally unsound" and would need a crown. He knew nothing of what we went through and pinpointed it right away. So not only did Gardens Dental Spa try to charge me $335 more than they contractually were allowed for this tooth, they also destroyed it to where it now needs a crown. I have found a new dentist. I had been going to Gardens Dental Spa for 6 years and it appears to me when they changed their office staff and moved buildings (bigger location) they started looking for ways to get more money including shoddy dental work that would require further treatment later on. Oh and they also tried to make me pay 50% of the cost of services when my insurance paid 80%. Stay away from them....... read more

I was in desperate need of a new dentist as the one I was going to was "SPECIAL" because every time I went I would see a different dentist and be given a different "dental plan". So I was looking for ONE dentist where I could get that "relationship" and be comfortable. A co worker referred me to this office, she said she absolutely loves them. So I made an appointment. When I called they could only get me in for an exam & not the cleaning on the same day but they booked me for the cleaning a few days later. My cleaning was awesome my hygienist was so damn friendly and made me feel extremely comfortable.... almost like we were friends. Now the office is closed on Fridays which kind of stinks but appears to be kind as an employer these days! I go back for a filling in a week so if anything stinks or is positive I will update my review!!! So far I'm happy with everything!!! BTW they give you a warm neck roll and I see they have paraffin wax to soak your hands in but I have not been offered it yet! Oh and I used my GPS to get here which sent me to their OLD office so I called and its about a mile away to the new location and was super easy to find! read more

The doctor and the staff were all great from the time I walked through the door and even after I left when they followed up with me. It's not common that dentists care so much about their patients...
