What started off as a 5 star service went down quickly to today's one star rating. A foreman…read more/manager met me at my property on the first visit. It was clear he understood what was going to be required for my twice monthly service. I have a yard that requires very little maintenance except for winter pruning of shrubs and 3 small crepe myrtle trees. It has taken them 3 months to respond to my requests to do what they promised. When the two workers come each time, I discuss what is required based on my agreement, and several times they have told me "next time." After several visits and the "next time" as promised does not happen, I had a talk with the workers. So this last time they responded with pruning 2 of the trees, butchering them, and the 3rd tree they left have unpruned! Seriously??? Also the two "next time" other items were not completed at all and they left their tools laying in my yard and left when I was not watching. To see if I could correct these issues, I emailed the office asking to cancel my remaining monthly service. No response in a week. I have left 3 phone messages in the last week with no response. Update: Did get a phone call from owner. He apologized. He said that his employees were not doing the job that he specified to them with written instructions. I did cancel the contract. The owner refunded my last month payment. I wonder if he will fire the non-performing employees. I have a low maintenance property. I'm just going to do all the landscape work myself.

The lawn has a lot of weeds and bare spots. I requested regular mowing, trimming, patching, fertilizing / weed killing, blow away dead leaves, trim bushes when needed, etc. Felipe showed up on time. We did a walk-through. He asked a lot of questions and explained what he could do. He and his assistant came a few days later, on time. They trimmed the bushes, trimmed the lawn edges, collected dead leaves, and mowed. The difference is dramatic. My first thought was, "it looks like a golf course." I am delighted with the results. A great nursery for trees, shrubs, and perennials. They have a gift shop with the usual…read moreknickknacks, and also a few aviaries filled with beautiful lovebirds. The grounds are lovely! It's really nice to just wander around and observe the beautiful plants and specialty trees. They currently have a sale featuring 50% off roses, which are in full bloom at the moment. In addition patio furniture is also 50% off. The mature trees range from hundreds to thousands of dollars depending upon cultivar, rarity, or variegation of foliage. This is a great place for large landscape specimens. You won't find six packs of annuals, they really specialize in trees, shrubs and perennials. The service was friendly, although I didn't buy anything this time, I was warmly greeted, and offered help to find anything. I'll be back once we finish our hardscaping and are ready for feature plants and large trees.

He and his crew showed up the next day and completed the work as promised. Unfortunately my dreams are bigger than my budget so the rest of the recommendations will have to wait until next month. Bottom line...I'm a single woman who has been taken advantage of by many "handymen". Francisco listened to my thoughts and concerns and guided me in the right direction. I know nothing about irrigation and don't really care to...I just need it to water my plants, not waste water and most importantly not blow up like it did after the "handyman" did the repair. I'm quickly learning to hire the people skilled in the trade, it might cost a little more up front but they do it everyday and paying for that experience will save in the long run. I just paid for this same repair a year ago that was half a$$ but I'm confident it's done right now and if something happens Francisco will make it right! Finding a contractor with integrity who really cares about quality work and customer satisfaction is rare these days. You won't be disappointed in his work. I'm extremely happy with everything that Francisco and his crew did and am looking forward to having them back next month to make my yard even better! They are incredibly well priced and delivered top notch service. The first time we used them, in addition to the clean up and trimming, they repaired the drip system. The second time we used them they again performed well with trimming and clean up but the fertilizer they applied to the lawn is terrific - it's the best it's looked in years! The lawn was my husband's do-it-yourself project and even he would admit that he's failed - it's filled with weeds, brown spots and crab grass, his efforts have not paid off, but thankfully E&L has it looking great! They did everything in 1 and a half weeks and I have gone from having the most embarrassing yard on the block to the one that everyone keeps stopping by and complimenting.
